Very happy with the purchase of a near new RAV4 Hybrid Cruiser. Helpful team, noting Colin in Fleet Sales, Sandra for her knowledge of the after market paint finish and Jodie for her continued assistance to all things involving servicing our Toyota vehicles. Thank you all.

After picking up my vehicle from a service on Tuesday the 7th April I noticed numerous scratches/gouges in my tonneau cover. The response from Clinton’s to buff them out was a waste of all our times. bad luck mare attitude is extremely hard to swallow. Be careful when placing your vehicles in their car as they take absolutely no responsibility for damages they cause.
Recently purchaced a "toyota certified used car'' and under exterior condition it says the car cannot have any marks. This was a 2024 fortuner and when it arrived it have 22 stone chips with atleast one being badly rusted and bubbling paint. Toyota Australias respoonse was "not out problem take it up with the dealer". It was no surprise Toyota Australia is happy for the Certified Used Car rating to be nothing more than a sales pitch

My experience with Toyota Australia has been extremely disappointing. I visited them 5 times for a leaking issue in my ute, and even after keeping my vehicle for a whole month on the last visit, they still failed to fix it. Instead of taking responsibility, they returned it with the same problem. This is not the level of honesty or service customers should expect. I strongly advise others to be cautious when dealing with Toyota Australia Show details

Damage done to car – I brought my 2011 Corolla with only 75,000kms into Kalamunda Toyota to get both headlights replaced with new OEM ones. When I dropped it off they did no pre-inspection checklist or photos. When I picked the car up I noticed that the bumper was hanging off. I calmly talked to them and they denied damaging it, and the manager said “it’s the age of… Read more
the car and parts will break” I said I want it fixed, but the repair they did was no better.
I’ve been trying to get them to replace and fix the parts but they haven’t acknowledged their error. They took it to a body shop but the bumper doesn’t stay on still.
Now I’ve got a car where the front bumper doesn’t stay on because they broke it and didn’t even tell me. Let alone take photos prior to delivery.

POOR QUALITY USED CARS, deliberately HIDDEN FACTS We bought a 2017 Toyota VX landcruiser through Tait Toyota Dealership Goondiwindi, for $80,000 we live in Esk, we had a hail storm 1st November 2025, Our insurer Suncorp wouldn't repair the hail damage because Tollis Paint and Panel Goondiwindi had mismatched the paint colour and the paint had… Read more
orange peal texture in it, a poor quality repair done inhouse by Tait Toyota, following a kangaroo strike. Not being paint or panel experts we didnt notice the paint problem until the hail claim. Suncorp forced us to cash settled, for the hail damage, saying the vehicle needed a full respray due to the Tollis poor quality repair, and saying PDR repair would fail. We paid Tait over $80,000 for the car in good faith and were stuck with it, at purchase we didn't notice the paint colour problems, we believed buying from a Toyota Dealership would provide added protections, Tait Toyota knew but unconscionabily chose to pull the wool over our eyes. Tait Toyota couldn't give a stuff, they said call Tollis Paint n Panel.....who don't return phone calls, Toyota Australia said private dealerships can do as they like...... I purchased a Used Toyota Camry (122000kms). The car was handed over to me with various defects and not in a Road Worth condition, along with other items that breached the contract. car to be ready to attend a Funeral. The car had chips/cracks in windscreen - divers line of sight, Wipers ineffective, loose drivers side pillar interior trim, kept falling down and also gave an impression of a potential removal of air bag (being a weekend I had to keep driving it not knowing if that was the case), water/mud in boot well, hole in driver's seat, rat poo throughout the engine bay, seat latch broken and hanging loose in boot, interior still dirty, the most deceptive was the rubber mat placed over the large tear in the drivers floor original car mat and floor carpet. I did approach Toyota to support me further, but, no apology, just the Refund and no further support, such as a hire car, as I am now without a car, as they stated 'I am in the same position as before buying the car', I am not, I had to sell a car to afford the Camry. I have not been able to find another car, or even know who to trust, and being a solo parent, that has made life difficult and stressful in an already hard enough time. First time I have purchased through a dealership as I thought it was safe, especially being Toyota, but what a stressful and upsetting experience. The original salesperson, Cass, was great to deal with tho. My complaint is with the handover condition of the car. Be cautious if buying a used car from Bendigo Toyota, especially if you are a single woman!.

I recently purchased a Mitsubishi Outlander from Surf Toyota Tweed Heads. While I absolutely love the car itself, I was really disappointed with my experience at the dealership. want a Subaru and a European car he continued for 10 minutes saying why I should get it after I had said no twice). When I finally decided on the car I wanted and signed the contract at $32k, I later discovered an extra $2,000 had been added to the invoice for a warranty I hadn’t agreed to. When I questioned this, I was told (in writing) “sorry, I was supposed to talk to you about this first.” It was then removed but I should never have been signed up for something I didn’t agree to in the first place.
At pickup, I was mansplained through the process of how to turn the car on, where the volume is on the screen and how to turn my lights on and off and handed a car in extremely poor condition. The windscreen was so dusty the cleaner had to be called out on the spot. Once I got the car home and gave it a proper clean, I found mud in the window seals, sand in bedded in the floor, white build-up and stains on the seats, scratches throughout the interior, dirt build up in edges and no floor mats included which I have photos of all. To make matters worse, the paint shows small rust dots across the entire body.
For the amount I paid, I expected professionalism espicallg from Toyota who has a good rep, transparency, and a vehicle presented properly. I’m happy with the Outlander itself, but I would not recommend Surf Toyota Tweed Heads based on my experience
BUYERS BEWARE!!! STEWART TOYOTA Sutherland and Rockdale – Do NOT BUY a car from this Dealership. thought maybe just do a check on the vehicle(I would normally do this with a private buy, but hey it’s a dealership they check all that don’t they…wrong!), turns out vehicle was encumbered. Rang them, gave them a chance to sort it out, as I am not buying a vehicle with finance owing on it! They were unable to sort it out!
I made it easy for them as there was another similar Prado at the Rockdale dealership. Checked vehicle out, seemed ok (it was late, raining and getting dark, I should have did a better check on the vehicle, my fault, but again I had trust in them they are a legit dealer right, that’s why you pay a premium for the vehicle…wrong again). Did the deal and bought the car.
On the way home with vehicle, once got it up to speed noticed a bad pull to the left, ok she needs a wheel alignment no problem. Got underneath the vehicle with a torch, the entire underside bash plates, around engine and chassis rails were full of dried mud, obviously this car has been done a lot of off roading and been in a river(more like several rivers). I cleaned out the lot myself, must have removed 30kgs of rock hard mud and rocks. So much for them supposedly doing a full comprehensive inspection of every used vehicle. This is not what I should be getting when I just spent $61k on a car. Sent the vehicle back to them under warranty for a wheel alignment, it came back exactly the same, badly pulling to the left! I Took it to a wheel alignment place, payed for it myself, they fixed the problem.
Oh, and a week or so later when I went online to Service NSW to change ownership, Stewart Toyota had not done their end, more calls to sort that out. They are totally hopeless.
Don’t bother contacting the Toyotas online customer complaints website, they just end up telling you to ring the dealer.
Moral of the story, don’t deal with these guys they are crooks.
I have had 3 different interactions with Toyota dealerships and I have been screwed over 3 times and not only that they have actually done damage to my Toyota 86 GTS I even wrote to Japan same thing nothing! I love my car but never ever take it to a Toyota dealership!!! No stars! I wanted my air cleaner changed in one service l was told it was fine the dirt was charcoal can you believe it!

He ensured that some minor repairs were completed, fitted some floor mats, Bluetooted our phones to the car system, removed previous users details and drove the car from the showroom to the road for us. It also includes extensive on road assistance to the same date. We had previously looked at new cars at the Hyundai dealer over the road. They waved us to a touch screen and told us the cars were in the lot. They could not have been less interested. We seriously encourage you to talk to Sam. He will help you find a good deal.

At my last my car service my invoice (attached) stated that the tyres had been rotated and the tyre pressures checked. I drive a Toyota Prado in which I have after market TPMS. The same tyres were still low after the service and the near-side front had a loose valve core, as it turned out when I did the job myself.
Its also notable that Canberra Toyota quote customers prices which are excluding GST, and they charge to use any sort of payment card. Both of which, or at least the first, I thought was illegal. Maybe I'm wrong. But they are sailing pretty close to the wind.

Several crosses ‘X’ were made against uncompleted critical jobs on the Log-Book making therefore the Landcruiser unsafe to drive e.g. Engine/Conditioner/Oil Filters/Brakes and Wipers replacements etc. This risky situation was pointed out on the phone to the Dealer responding that a reduced maintenance service was performed stating that a full service needed to be done twice. morning I went to get my pair of Electricians side cutters from my tool belt which were fairly new and lo and behold what do you know! they were missing. Totally and 100% busted. I reported this and it was just all deny deny deny. I am not accusing anybody of stealing them but I know 100% they were in my tool belt before dropping the car off and when I got the car back they were missing. These are the stone-cold hard facts. It didn't seem to matter to them when I told them I checked that they were their before I dropped the car off but were missing when I got the car back.
They are unwilling to pay for a new pair even after making $3000 out of on a quoted job of $2600. They would rather lose me as a customer.
Now I have to go and buy a new pair even though I know with 100% certainty what happened to my side cutters.
What does a person have to do, completely gut their cart of every single item before leaving your car with a stranger!?
previous to this review.....I decided to start using OMT Springwood again and immediately regret it. First time I had to bring the car back again due to fuel leak they caused during a major service. Also, The fuel warning light was on meaning there was water or dirt in the filter so to fix that they make the fuel warning light go off. Then days after fuel light came back so I had to take the car back a third time. Just recently, I took the car back to OMT get the brakes fixed and fuel filter replaced. I got a phone call telling me the car is ready to be picked up and when I arrived and paid for the work I asked if the fuel light is off now and they said yes. When I went to the car the fuel light was still on, then I had to wait around another 15 to 20 minutes while they reset the fuel warning light. So far I have not been able to get work done in the car without problems straight after. I don’t have the time to keep coming back all the time or waiting around for something they missed. What does this keep happening every time?

opinion in many ways, but in the past 12 months that come crashing down, 12 months ago I brought 2 new cars one of them was a 2025 Toyota Camry and I found quality control has gone out the window along with a car company desperate bid to milk every cent out of their customers. Here is an example, a week or so ago I wanted to look up an address on the GPS only to find it had been turned off without warning but you guessed it, Toyota and on the screen was a message inviting me to join Toyota’s essential package and you can’t have a GPS without paying the ransom for it of $119.40 or for the connect multimedia $150.00 per year works out to $1194.00 0r for the upgraded one $1500.00 for ten years plus inflation. If you get caught, buy a Garmin GPS and have free over the air updates you will save big dollars. And before Mr. Toyota tries to tell me I was warned when we brought the car that the GPS was on a loan for 12 months, we were not, as the Dealer was too busy trying to sell paint protection and other cr>p at the time Now for the Quality control or the lack of it, the parking brake sound is about the same as a 1955 rusted Holden ute, the dealers answer was they all do it, it is the servo, I do not care what it is, it’s bad form to have a car making 1955 Holden ute noises when the park brake goes on or off. The next thing is noises coming from under the dash, Church bells, several people from the Dealership looked and shook their heads, then another chap came and looked and suggested it was the phone talking to the car, good try no cigar without a phone in the car still church bells, I have become quite fond of them. Last for today a warning alarm, seatbelt? Door? I don’t know but I do know If I stop the car and restart it’s no longer there. Dealers opinion handbag on the seat (wow) Now for Quality Design why Toyota design a car that is easy to steal, Camry, Land Cruiser, Corolla are there among the most stolen, it’s worth having a look on YouTube, Come on Mr Toyota, up your game unless you have something to gain?. Here is an idea a pin number on the media screen that cannot be bypassed. It would take your boffins half a day work this out, would that not drop insurance rates for the owners, your customers ? Now for Servicing, Why are dealerships so expensive, Tesla has no service charge as there is no service program , the only difference in these cars is an ICE engine or an electric motor, suspension ,wheels, tyres, gearbox, doors, windows, brakes, lights, all the same is it that Teslas are built better, no. Dealers need your money to put up fancy showrooms and pay their electricity bill, cars these days are built to a better lasting mechanical quality. Final advice find an independent qualified mechanic (not a franchise) ask your friends who they use, have your car serviced by them using genuine parts and ask them to use a good quality oil, they will sign your logbook and recommend taking it to a dealer if it happens to require work on the car under warrantee, this is legal and law for the dealer to perform warrantee work on the car under government law via the ACCC, do not let the dealers tell you otherwise. They will try.

I’ve also struggled to get through to their service department, with calls going unanswered and not returned. This level of communication is unacceptable and reflects poorly on their customer care.
When I dropped the car off, I also mentioned a strong, unusual smell and asked that someone investigate it. I’ve received no update or communication about this — which I consider a potential safety issue and should have been given some priority.
I also paid to have my car hand washed & vacuumed - cleaning job on my car was completely unsatisfactory and well below the standard expected, especially given the premium Toyota charges for this service.
Even the outside windows haven’t been cleaned/chamois properly, which is basic attention to detail & my boot wasn’t vacuumed?
Won’t be going back!

Following the purchase, I decided to investigate the reasoning behind this sudden price increase. I contacted and visited seven Toyota dealers across Melbourne, and was advised by one dealership that the technical updates referenced only apply to upcoming models—not the one I purchased. This confirmed my suspicion that the explanation provided by Berwick Toyota was misleading.
I feel extremely disappointed by this experience, which I believe was deceptive and unethical. I have been a loyal Toyota customer since 1995 and have purchased multiple brand-new vehicles over the years, but this is the first time I’ve encountered a price change after placing an order and paying a deposit.
Such practices reflect poorly not only on the dealership but also on the Toyota brand. I urge the franchise owners to uphold their reputation by ensuring ethical conduct and transparency within their sales team. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Berwick Toyota to other customers.
