Absolutely terrible experience with Travel Insuranz. I lodged a claim over 6 months ago and have heard nothing back despite multiple follow-ups. Bought a policy in August 2024 for a trip to Europe scheduled for May 2025. Due to a health reason I had to cancel my planned trip. Although I had exceeded the cooling off period, the company was happy to give me a partial refund. Great service and understanding. Show details
I would not recommend this company at all. I submitted my claim 3 months ago and I have not heard back since. What I was told that my online application vanished and they can't find it so I had provided a tracking number but still unable to track it then I did the whole application process again on paper..... And nothing ..... No reply to my emails ECT. Stay away from them. Show details

were fantastic. In the $16K (which was all our costs) paid to us they even calculated the $ amount for the Qantas points value for the cancellation. We are doing the same holiday next March and will be taking a policy out with them again.
Very happy with this company – Recently went on a cruise where my husband and I caught influenza A and had to isolate the pretty much the entire trip missing all our stops. Put a claim in, the communication was good all the way, 4 weeks after the trip and i had the approval and the payment for my claim into my account. Very happy with the outcome and the company. Used sneaky fine print to get out of doing their job – Super slow to process my travel insurance claim only to find some some fine print reason not to cover me for the purchase of new flights when mine were cancelled. I had to follow up to get a response, was then told my claim was going to be rejected and I'd get notice the next day. I asked to speak to a manager, this request was ignored. 2 weeks later it finally comes through rejected.... Will not be using Travel Insuranz ever again! Show details

I would never choose them if it saved my life – 2020 year of doom for most of us as we some lost jobs. Boarders closed and Covid affected the majority of us. longer banking with them or a sibling who paid for the insurance under her card migrated overseas and now all accounts are closed. Not only will you have to continually follow THEM up but they won’t do anything about getting the money they have put into someone else’s account as it “has not bounced and returned back to Travel Insuranz account” The night I filled out the refund form was the same day I emailed their CS team to advise of change of bank details. 3 days later I received an email saying the account nominated that we paid our insurance policy with, was the same one they paid the account in, which someone else has JUST landed free money SMDH. I gave them enough notice, got a reply 3 days later. It still an ongoing issues. I will NEVER and I hope no one else uses these guys for insurance. They deserve to go bankrupt.
No refund for corona virus – Sadly I've had to cancel my trip to US in June (almost 3 months away) due the corona virus. Accomodation and flights all get refunded, but not my insurance from Travel Insuranz. After the 14 days cooling off period it's tough luck mate! Show details

received a response that I quite frankly did not expect to receive from an insurance company, "Thank you for your email and we’ve extended the policy to 13th March. On this occasion, no additional premium was due. We hope Daniel enjoys the rest of his trip!"
