Best travel insurance ever – Very easy to identify which policy best suits your needs. We had to cancel our trip to NZ last year due to Covid. As we had purchased the policy prior to Covid, Kit refunded in full within a matter of days.We have used kit several times and have a current policy, for our upcoming trip to NSW. Good cover and fast response – This was my first time using Kit travel insurance. My basic policy was well priced and easy to set up. I had to cancel the trip due to Covid. Kit's online claims service was good to use, with clear guidelines. Once I had all my documents in order, my claim was processed quickly and I received the full amount back. reply. Claim form and appropriate documentation resubmitted via from my personnel email account to claims@travelwithkit.com but NO COMMUNICATION from them at all. I travel frequently and this is the first and last time I would ever use this company. DO NOT USE THEM.

Surprise result – My overseas trip had to be cancelled owing to COVID. To my surprise and delight my complete premium was refunded to me. Not what I expected from an Insurance Company. Will use Kit again when next I travel. Show details

Took a while to process COVID cancellation claim but they came through and paid a full refund so we're very happy – We chose TWK because it was listed on the Seniors website, included a good discount for seniors and covered for travel to Iran. It was easy to set up online. Show details

Better than I expected – Covid-19 canceled my overseas trip. My policy (bought 5 months before my trip) was well passed 14 days cooling off period. To my surprise, I got my refund back within a couple of days. Show details

Not what we were expecting – Easy to use, looked as if it would be good value, BUT after many emails and phone calls our claim was never fully completed.We had major problems with the person who was doing the claim,he kept sending us emails saying that he did not receive info. etc that we sent. instructions. I did make a claim on my return home and even though the company was inundated with claims mine was processed within 3 months. It was my first time with this company but will definitely be using them in the future.

Lacked help when needed most – It was easy to take out but terms were not stated clearly and precisely. When making a claim the response time was very slow. The response I got was only suggestive of an outcome which diswaded me from proceeding further. My claim was settled about a month after I lodged it which was impressive given the huge number of claims all insurers must be facing during this crisis. In contrast, my partner faced endless requests for more info, and unreasonable demands that he contact overseas providers and his claim is still not settled. Not good enough – Items and cash were stolen in Bangkok., We made a claim, As far as completing the claim they were very quick. Quick to pay us less than 50% of the total value we lost. They sent an email basically " this is what you are getting" and at the same time, sent by EFT 50% less than what we claimed, We had receipts, a Jewelers valuation, a Police report, etc. Absolutely no reason for this Company to gip us out of 50% of our claim. They should say in their PDF "We only pay half of what you claim". Imagine if you could not supply what they requested, you would get ZILCH, I could take them to court and win, its a no brainer to win, But I avoid grief just like you should think twice and AVOID this company. I only paid for what I needed – I've been looking for a travel insurer that allowed me to pay for what I needed. This brand has packs that you can add so you're only paying for what you need. I was travelling for work so I could add the business pack and the water pack.
