They paid out no questions, that's a measure. I got a comprehensive plan, which included war zone countries (Israel, Myanmar), understanding it only covered non conflict injuries. The claim was for a connecting ferry in Greenland, and the transfer to it (via a small boat). Total claim was $2634.10.
It was paid out in full, no questions asked. The payment was timely, being only 2 weeks post the claim. I had paid $2000 insurance for a 3 month trip.

DONT Use WORLDCARE! – Got insurance from this company cost over $800 our cruise was cancelled the travel company gave a full refund but worldcare would only give a partial 20 percent refund even though we never used there services and didn’t even go on the trip! WARNING: NOT INSURED IF YOU CONSUME ALCOHOL – If you consume any alcohol, your policy is null and void in the event of any claim. With other travel insurance policies you could find this by searching "alcohol" in their PDS. Worldcare hides it by referring to alcohol as "intoxicating liquor". Search Alcohol and you'll find a few hits but nothing to say your not covered. Deceiving to the consumer. Buyers be warned. Show details

Lack of customer service – Unfortunately though I have read some good reviews of this company, none of their phone numbers on the website work. I've tried three times going through their automated phone system to no avail. No hold music or anything. I was promised reinstatement of the balance of the policy term after the pandemic restrictions. I asked for reinstatement when things opened up and Allianz said no they made a mistake. years away from my overseas work and now the two carriers who should carry my flights are resisting reinstating my two business fare tickets. Allianz won't assist in a practical way. World Care turns out to be Allianz's subsidiary so their broker/agent is not my representative. There's been no advice from either Allianz or World Care on what my rights for recourse are to cover the cost of the return leg of my travel. What does anyone out there suggest.? What transpired is that I was offered reinstatement followed by refusal and offers to reimburse me with the balance of my policy payment several times. I have refused reimbursement of the balance of the policy. This is because I believe that I am entitled to have my flights back to the start of my flights out of Johannesburg. So far World Care ALLIANZ is recalcitrant despite the fact that they undertook that the options under the Policy as it was issued would be reinstated. I have no alternative but to do what I can to ensure that I and others like me in my situation do not lose their entitlements under their policy's.

All I expected – This is the second time I have used Worldcare travel insurance. Fortunately no need to claim this time. On a previous trip we did need to claim and the process was very good and they walked us through the steps so there was no problems. The claim was resolved in a matter of days to our satisfaction. Be careful when you take a policy with this company – I waited at the airport for 7 hours for Jetstar to cancel my flight and was only offered an unreasonable alternative the following day. I am out of pocket for lost accommodation, carport parking and connecting flights. I put my claim in promptly and 10 days later asked for proof of flight cancellation by your company. two weeks have gone by for you to advise that you wont payout if a there is a mechanical flight breakdown. That is appalling. I would say I have taken out at least 10 policies with Worldcare Travel and the only time I have had to make a legitimate claim you have dug up some fine print on page 53 saying you wont cover if there is mechanical breakdown. What a joke. If I was robbed and put in hospital you probably have some fine print for that as well.
