does plaque off cause diarrhoea in cats
Hi Helen. I can only talk from the point of view of Plaque Off for Dogs, I have no experience of Plaque Off for Cats. They are two separate products. I have used it for many years in relation to dogs & found it very effective with NO side effects.
Ok thanks, I will keep on searching.
Yes my cat got diarrhea! It didn’t happen right away, happened after about day 4-5 of having it! I stopped it immediately

can plaque off cause diaohea in cats
I have been using PlaqueOff for around 2 weeks for my Golden Retriever - 3 scoops per day (he weighs 35 Kg)
it seems his breath is worse than before - no difference to plaque on his teeth either - should I persist?
Hello,
I have only every used Greenies for Cats. You would be better off asking a vet.
Hi. I would say 'yes' to your question. If there was a significant amount of plaque it can take a little longer than 2 weeks, possibly up to 6 weeks & then you can keep on top of it. You could try gently scraping the teeth with your finger nail and you will find out if it is starting to soften the plaque. It is a good product, just give it time. it has to get to the teeth via the blood circulation. Wish you well with it. The Dog Man
It clearly states that the product can take up to 8 weeks to take effect and if after 8 weeks you can't see a result, then increase the dose. Up your dose to 4 scoops a day, make sure you're giving it EVERY SINGLE day and see how you go. It's extremely important to remain vigilant with giving it every day. Results also depend on how bad your dog's teeth are of course. If the teeth are really bad and you don't want to have the vet perform a dental on the dog, then start giving him a dental diet (Royal Canin Dental or Hills T/D) or Dental chews (Oravet) and well as the Plaque Off. Plaque Off softens pre-existing tartar so combining it with something that is going to "brush" the teeth will be really effective.
