Here’s how the whole ordeal went down:
1. Booking Process is a Nightmare: The first red flag is the booking system. Instead of being able to book online or speak to someone directly at a store, you're told to call a 1300 number. Already feels dodgy, right? You’re then connected to random people who give vague instructions on how to book, but it’s not as simple as you’d expect.
2. Forced Paintball Purchases: Here’s where the scam really starts. You’re told you must pre-purchase paintballs for the day. Fine, but then you’re hit with the shocker: If you bring any friends (let’s say 5 of them), you’re forced to buy paintballs for all of them, even though you can’t buy them individually at the venue. On top of that, there’s a ridiculous “service fee” of $27 per person, which adds another $135 to your bill. And if that wasn't enough, you’ll be charged $100 for just 500 paintballs per person.
So, before you’ve even stepped foot on the field, you’re looking at a jaw-dropping total of $694.95—and that’s not even factoring in the fact that you'll likely run out of paintballs very quickly, especially if you’re using an automatic gun. You can bet you’ll be forced to buy more if you want to continue playing.
3. No Flexibility or Refunds: If you try to book a smaller number of paintballs, they refuse to allow it. And good luck getting your money back if you change your mind. I tried to cancel, and they claimed they couldn’t issue a refund because it was "up to their discretion." I even had a payment go through as a “pre-payment” for an amount I didn’t authorise. What’s worse, if you don’t have a massive balance in your account to cover the crazy fees, you’ll find yourself stuck with a declined payment and no clear way to get your money back.
4. No Guarantee of Service: On top of everything else, you’re at the mercy of whether or not the event actually happens. If it rains, they could cancel without notice—and you’ll be left high and dry, with no refund or compensation.
In summary, this experience has been nothing but a complete waste of time and money. The booking process is frustrating and unclear, the prices are inflated, and the customer service is non-existent. If you want to enjoy a day of paintball, I highly recommend you skip these middlemen and find a legitimate paintball venue instead. Otherwise, you might find yourself with a massive bill, no paintballs to shoot, and no way to get your money back.
Do yourself a favor: Avoid these guys and save yourself the headache. Go grab a drink at the pub instead and enjoy a much more affordable and stress-free day.
Does not rate a star. Took my money – I ordered melatonin. Received an email saying my order was delivered. Complained that it wasn't then received an order saying oops sorry problem with delivery address. I have a regular street address. There was no problem. I've had circular emails since. They have also blamed a non existed 3rd party. ACM? Can't find them. Scammers and thieves! Don't fall for this rubbish. Have attached photo of my "inaccessible " property.
A shocking company to deal with – Truelocal does not reply to questions regarding the removal of a listing that is no longer valid, which has a deleted ABN number, incorrect phone number and address. Beware never put a listing with Truelocal you will end up regretting it.

Do not use luxury roof painting or Sydney roof painting (same company) - very poor quality work – The cleaning was not completed properly, they sprayed over rubbish, leaves and rocks. I paided for capping to be repaired and they just sprayed over it. Please do not use luxury roof painting or Sydney roof painting, (they have refused to fix) please see photos of terrible work.
Useless, contact page broken, will not allow site edits – Tried several times to get a human to respond to a requst to delete a 20 year old listing from when I lived in WA. Still get phone calls from people in WA wasting their time and mine. True Local, if you read this, you need to provide some small degree of customer service; you are not free if you actually cost buyers and sellers time.

Terrible, IMHO this is a clickbait wordpress site – You can make a review on TrueLocal but if your opinion changes over time, you can never update or delete the review. They go out of their way to make it difficult to communicate with staff. Are they even humans working here? Truelocal? they don't have a publicly listed office or phone number, they are definitely not true locals.

Genuine guy who went out of his way to help – Called Darren at Advance Hotwater after our Hotwater system was playing up. He identified the problem immediately and was able to solve it straight away without any issues. Great price and phenomenal service especially at Christmas time when everyone is busy. They refuse to put the truth – I just attempted to put a review and they rejected it. I did not put nothing more than the truth regarding a business which soon will be in court. I did that in order to warn others as this company has extremely bad reviews in the Product Review site (which is this one). So, what is the point to cancel out the truth in the first place ?

They started three days later (Tuesday). The crew came out and I told they what I wanted. They found a manhole lid where I wanted the driveway so we discussed what would be the best solution. The crew was so easy to talk and work with that nothing was a problem. I was so impressed and happy with them and their workmanship. Shane called me to see if I was happy with the job and to organize the fence. Dwyane came out to do the fence and again the service was incredible. The communication was unbelievable, making sure that I was happy. Shane co-ordinated everything for me. I then proceed to write a negative review on his True Local listing and after a week of it not appearing on the website, called True Local. There is no actual phone number for general public enquiries but I found a number for the accounts department where one of the accounts ladies informed me that True Local do not publish negative reviews. We are thousands of dollars out of pocket because of this misleading website.
Fraudulent company – They do not publish a lot of reviews making them fraudulent. I have submitted a number of reviews. They pick and choose what they want you to see.

Excavation and drainage expert! – Luke came out and excavated an extremely water logged, messy sideway and fixed our drainage. His professionalism and work ethic were second to none, especially as the weather was against him but it did not deter him.
