TUH is the Best

We have been with TUH for about fifty years. No matter what happens in our retirement, we would never give up our membership. TUH has a good name with health providers. Plus we know we are being treated fairly because it is a not-for-profit organisation. Show details

TUH Care Coordinator service was exceptional

I cannot speak highly enough of the service I’ve had from TUH over the years. This review specifically is in regards to the exceptional care and service provided by TUH Care Coordinator, Josephine. Her advice was invaluable and assistance provided by TUH in terms of fully funded physiotherapy after surgery was a huge help. Josephine went above and beyond any expectation of a health fund service. She explained what the fund can do to assist going forward which I really appreciate. I want to thank Josephine for listening, explaining and giving guidance. As an older person I felt valued and that is priceless. Show details

Great insurance

Friendly helpful staff when I have need to contact them . Great value policy. Used recently and ended up just paying the out of pocket cost. Have referred multiple friends and colleagues to TUH Show details

Such a great health fund!

We have been with TUH for some years, and have only had positive experiences. It was very simple to transfer from our previous fund, and since then we have found the service and the rebates to be superior to what we had received from that same previous fund. It is very easy to lodge claims online, and the rebates arrive in our bank within a couple of days. On occasion, I have needed to discuss something with a consultant , and each time my issue has been resolved very quickly. We have recommended TUH to several friends. Show details

Health fund seems excellent! They pick up the phone within a minute or so. But the app is a bit sad. Still I'll take quality people over an app everyday of the week! Show details

Not exorbitant, great support and easy claiming

We joined TUH about 12 years ago after much research into health funds. I was managing a medical school in a University at the time and had plenty of input. TUH had a scaled repayment that I think topped out at six years of membership. The other thing I liked was that they paid the doctor or surgeon more than some others. They have been very helpful with both my husband and I and now we are retired we are very happy knowing that we have TUH with us. The cost of the insurance has not risen exorbitantly in the years we have been with them. I highly recommend them. Show details

Expiry of Card

I have always experienced good service from this Health Fund. But today I was disappointed when my optician claimed for me using my current card, and it was returned as no benefit, card expired. Why was I not sent a new card when my card "expired". I had never been told the cards "expire". The problem was resolved when I contacted the Fund, but I wasted a lot of time on it. Show details

Run by English teachers not maths teachers

Everything about the process has been difficult and convoluted. Everything is written in an extremely wordy way rather than just plain direct English. I have Have a lot of technical issues just accessing my account and I am dreading making evan a simple claim. Because I've had quotes in the past it has broken my ability to log in with my email. Show details

When only the best will do

Have been a member for about 5 years now. Have had several Hospital admissions in that time.
I love that I was followed up with various offers of assistance for my recovery. I was the recipient of several welfare checks and offers of extra assistance outside of my benefits that did not impact my contributions. The annual bonus is always received with gratitude. TUH offer so much more than other funds. I’m hoping they see me through the rest of my life. Thank you to all at TUH. Don’t change when you amalgamate . You’re great now. ⭐️⭐️ Show details ·  2

Easy to get tge information I needed

After receiving a quote for some major surgery, which had a huge out-of-pocket expense, the consultant explained how I could apply for a lower out-of-pocket amount. She also detailed some data which allowed me to make some informed decisions.
I had my surgery, stayed in the beautiful Greenslopes Private Hospital, had some wonderful doctors, nurses, orderlies and staff, and I know that all of my bills were handled by TUH and no one ever bothered me with any trivialities.
Mid last year I considered changing funds. I rang and spoke to TUH and decided to stay with them. Thank goodness!!! Show details ·  1

Backing for preventative health

There are a small number of people who need prisms in their spectacle lenses to enhance their quality of life. For a number of these people (I am one) the advantages are substantial and enable a productive mobile life still to be lived despite, in my case, an ABI.
However there is no extra benefit in optical for such lenses. For walking sticks etc which are other forms of mechanical aids there are benefits. This problem needs to be rectified and benefits should be given to those in need.
A recent request to TUH to review was this was dismissed without, I feel, a full review and the offer for a face to face discussion was also denied.
Time to change and make benefits available. Advice is sought.
