Just used these guys for a new set of tyres for my Ranger. Great recommendation from the Experts... Love the ride after these guys have done their magic. Would not go anywhere else in the Pakenham Area. Show details
Called into Bundaberg branch for quote on tyres and was quoted an amount including tyre disposal fee about $8 per tyre. I asked if I kept the old tyres the price and was told the price was the same. I used to be a customer but now feel ripped off. Show details
The Balcatta technician claimed my tyres were over 10 years old, which is simply untrue. You can’t realistically drive on the same tyres for that long, and I know exactly when mine were last replaced. I clearly instructed them to change only the two front tyres, but they seemed unhappy about not being able to charge more in one visit. After the… Read more
service, my car started pulling to the left and even hitting the curb. Instead of addressing it, they dismissed it as a pre-existing steering problem. My car was driving straight before coming in so I wonder how it's suddenly hitting the curb now. Don't rely on this place being honest. I would not trust them with my car again and strongly recommend going elsewhere.

Paid $2,730 on 18 March 2026 for steering rack bushes, drive shafts, diff drop kit, and diff oils on my 2017 VW. Got the car back with a steering angle sensor fault that did not exist before I dropped it off. What happened is that while they had the steering shaft disconnected, the steering wheel moved around 800 degrees from its correct position… Read more
— and nobody noticed or corrected it before handing the car back. They tried to reset it with their own scanner on the spot — couldn't clear it. This is written on their own invoice, so they knew about the problem before I even left the shop. I scanned the car myself at home with my own diagnostic tool and found multiple active fault codes: B116804 Steering Angle Sensor Faulty, B116829 Range/Performance, B116807 Mechanical Malfunction, and B116854 No Basic Setting. The steering angle was reading -809 degrees — completely out of range. I have timestamped screenshots proving all of this.
After that, I also noticed the gearbox started shifting badly — holding 3rd gear while doing 80 km/h, harsh shifts, completely wrong behaviour. I went back to Tyrepower to raise both issues. Their response? They said they "didn't touch the gearbox," that my car has "too many modifications," and told me I should find a gearbox specialist. But they were happy to accept the job and take my $2,730 knowing the full state of the vehicle. You can't take the money and then blame the customer when things go wrong. The gearbox issue is directly consistent with the steering angle sensor feeding bad data to the transmission control unit — something their own work caused.
Because Tyrepower refused to take responsibility, I had no choice but to take the car to a VW specialist who used factory-level ODIS diagnostic software. They confirmed the exact same steering angle reading (-807 degrees), removed the steering wheel, manually adjusted and adapted the G85 sensor. That cost me an additional $348.70. The ESP light is now off and the fault has been resolved for now — but the specialist warned that if the steering wheel had gone even one more turn while it was disconnected, the G85 sensor would have physically broken, and a full replacement would have cost $1,500+. I was lucky it didn't snap. I also had to drive the car like this for a week before I could get it to the specialist because I need the car for work — a week with ESP faults, bad shifting, and warning lights on the dash.
So to summarise: I paid $2,730 for work that left my car worse than when it came in. They let the steering wheel spin 800 degrees while the shaft was disconnected, created a steering angle sensor fault, admitted it on their own invoice, couldn't fix it, and sent me on my way. When I came back about the gearbox issue they washed their hands of it completely. I've had to spend an additional $348.70 out of my own pocket to fix what they caused, and I'm lucky the sensor didn't break entirely — that would have been $1,500+ on top of everything.
I have all invoices and independent diagnostic screenshots to back everything up. Photos attached.
Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere.
If you want your wheels to fall off and then not to take responsibility by all means shop here otherwise you've been warned
Yesterday (Thursday 3rd April 2025) I employed the services of Tyrepower Tahmoor to replace two front tyres on my car. When I collected my car, I noticed that my windscreen was cracked (which it had not ben prior to dropping the car off, there was not even a chip in the windscreen.) I reported this to a man that I overheard being referred to as… Read more
[Name Removed]. [Name Removed] was immediately combative and his first response was "Well, it wasn't done by us love." to which I responded with, "Well, it wasn't like that when I left it here this morning". After some unpleasant back and forwarding, [Name Removed] found someone who could operate the camera systems to show me my car driving in and out of the building and two workers who walked through the office and commented "It wasn't like that when we brought it in, we would have noticed that!" [Name Removed], and the man operating the cameras tried to tell me that a rock must have been flicked up from a passing car in the car park or, off the road running alongside the carpark, and cracked my windscreen and, if this happens, it is not their fault. This is where I strongly disagree. I left my car in the care of this company which means, they are responsible for the car and for any damage caused to the car whilst in their care. When it became obvious that the camera angles did not allow for a clear view of the windscreen as it left the workshop, (and apparently they do not have cameras inside their workshop) [Name Removed] turned to me and said "What is it you actually want? Do you want me to buy you a new windscreen? I'll buy you a windscreen and I will pay for two new tyres you obviously cant afford to buy", to which I basically told him that his attitude was poor and left. To top it of, the newly replaced tyres were over inflated which I had to rectify. I have windscreen insurance so that was not the issue. What I wanted was the truth and an apology, not to be treated like I was trying to pull some scam. The attitude of this man is disgusting and I cannot help to wonder if I had been male, would I have been treated in such a disrespectful way.

Tyrepower Launceston fitted 4 "new" Pirelli tyres to our car week 9, 2025. Upon getting home found the tyres were manufactured in September 2022, two years and five months old. of the manufacturing dates which were supplied and the response was, Pirelli cover their tyres with a six year warranty from fitment date. A review of this warranty revealed a five year cover. I found the T & Cs contained many exclusions but have a read of these yourself if interested and form your own opinion. Therefore Dear Reader, sight and verify your new tyres before fitment and then decide if they are acceptable. On the positive side the Counter staff were friendly and efficient at the time of having the tyres fitted.
Shocking treatment – Went to the Perth 4x4show Tyrepower stand on Saturday 9/11 ,was offered a set of 4 x Toyo AT 3 tyres at a special show price of $1012.00 and discounted alignment at $115.00 providing it was done at the Bibra Lake branch. To secure this I was told to pay a $ 200 deposit, which I duly did. I was told I would be sent an email with the details later … Read more
On Monday morning I checked my mail and noticed on the deposit order form they had sent me a price of $1366.40 instead of the quoted price of $1012.00 excluding the wheel alignment. I immediately called the Bibra lake branch and spoke to [Name Removed] who referred me to [Name Removed], the same person who I spoke to at the show. He agreed to do it at the agreed price of $1012 and alignment at $115. I duly booked it in for installation on Tuesday morning. I waited for them to complete and was presented with an invoice for $200.00 more than the agreed price. I immediately queried this with the staff who told me they couldn’t get hold of [Name Removed] to verify this as he was in a meeting. After waiting for more than an hour for a response from [Name Removed] I had had enough and told them to remove the tyres and put back my old ones. They then agreed to reduce to the agreed price, which I duly paid. The whole experience left a bitter taste and I will never deal with them again. Additionally I requested them to please set tyre pressures to 55 rear and 40 front ( I am towing). On getting into the car pressures were not ( see attached pic

Tyrepower INGLEBURN. Very helpful staff, reasonable prices. My tyre pressure indicator was still coming on after I put air in all tyres. They checked for any punctures free of charge and were honest as this was a fault in the car's system. Show details

This review is not about the tyres; it's about the bad manners and banging the surcharge on a card payment. This mob bangs it on by stealth without giving you chance to choose mode of payment, and then claims the bank does it automatically. Any retailer can opt out of the surcharge and absorb the surcharge as a goodwill gesture. I can go into any… Read more
national store or service and spend $450 and not pay the surcharge on a visa card but this company has opted to bang it on his system and not show it up front or even on the receipt. You find out later when checking out the bank statement. This is a grub act as far as I'm concerned; something I expect from a little cake shop or little variety store but at least they inform you up front.
Contacted Tyrepower Balcatta for a quote two weeks ago! Still waiting to receive a quote? Extremely disappointed- Poor service - Go somewhere else- worst service ever!
Tyrepower Artarmon - possible scam on pink slips. I went to Tyrepower Artarmon to get a pink slip, and was told i needed 4 brand new tyres. I said that's odd, because the dealership where i got it serviced a few months (or 3,000km) ago said the car was fine and had at least 10,000km left on the tyres. Tyrepower then said they had plenty of tread,… Read more
but were cracked. I looked and saw no cracks. I was suspicious, all the more because what a coincidence that Tyrepower just happens to find that i need $800 of new tyres which they happen to sell, but nothing else needed fixing? I then took the car to my dealership's service centre, and they passed the pink slip, and said the tyres were in fact just fine. So, it seems like a fraudulent quote. Avoid.

I recently visited Tyrepower Hornsby with an urgent wheel puncture issue. Walking into a busy shop like this, you might expect delays or indifference-but that wasn’t my experience at all. like my problem mattered. The young lady at the front desk was notably pleasant. She listened carefully, acknowledged the hassle I was dealing with, and immediately offered a practical solution. It sounds like she understood that time was important for me, and she was able to arrange for my tyre to be repaired within 12 hours-faster than I’d anticipated. The pricing was fair and exactly what I expected, with no surprises. What stands out is how the staff balanced being busy with being attentive. It looks like they’ve built a system that works for both urgent walk-ins and regular customers. That’s not easy to pull off, and it made a difference for me. If you’re looking for a tyre shop in Hornsby that gets the job done, treats you with respect, and doesn’t overcharge, it seems like Tyrepower Hornsby is a solid choice.

Great service from Tyrepower Kyneton. Had Rovelo Montaro tyres fitted to our Tiguan. Did a trip to Sydney, Canberra and back. These tyres appear to be excellent with a soft ride and quiet. Very impressed so much that had my SAAB 93 Convertible fitted with Rovelo R1 tyres and so far so good. Tyrepower LIED to me – Had 4 new tyres installed on23/12/24 plus wheel alignment. When I went to pay I was told that they were not going to charge me for the alignment. thought I would give it a few days to see if things settled.
However, because we had Christmas, New Years holidays I contacted tyrepower this week. They booked me in for today. When I went there they took the car then they came out less than 5 minutes later and told me that they could not do the alignment because they only do basic alignment and my car needed a more comprehensive alignment as the tyres had already started to wear after barely 4 weeks so they suggested I take it to a front end specialist.
When I took it to private tyre front end place, they did the alignment and told me that there was no way that tyrepower had even touched the alignment. The front was 35.7mm out and the rear was 6.4mm out.
So I guess they LIED when they said they did the alignment which is why they didn’t charge me NOT that they decided to not charge me as it was Christmas. I am going to send a formal complaint to head office
incompetents – Dropped my 4x4 off for New tyres that were ordered a week before to be told they sold them to someone else. Told to bring it back the next day as they have ordered some more. arrive today to be told they have not arrived as they have not been ordered.
