Dodgy Pricing Add-ons! – Beware of the tricky online prices that keep changing! My experience is that the headline price is NOT the price you will pay. It looks attractive and then they add delivery fee to the fitment centre which is calculated and added in a curious (Dodgy?) way to say the least. Got the same price locally and just drove straight in - no stuffing around… Read more

online, no wait, no hidden charges and no middle man should I need aftersales service. Tyres were in stock.

I did not go with Tyresales but sure lost a heap of time trying... and then took the time to write this review to (I hope) help others.

Best to go old school - Use the phone and compare that way!

Overpriced – Purchased 4 new tyres for my mum trusting that their prices are good. After 1 week she had an issue with a tyre and so I had to buy another tyre. Found that I overpaid by $180 across the 4 tyres fitted and balances compared to what I would have paid if I just went to the shop that the tyres were fitted at. Sure I could have looked harder at the… Read more

start, but I was time poor and trusted the brand. Key learning is, dont assume that the prices are competitively priced - they arent. Called customer service and was basically told, we are usually cheaper but it depends ....

Why oh WHY did I use Tyresales.com.au ??? – I chose to use Tyresales.com.au as a new and much more convenient way to purchase a set of 4 tyres for my 4WD. I initially booked in on the DAY BEFORE my planned trip to Frazer Island - I re-considered and changed the date to 5 days earlier, notified Tyresales as well the Fitment centre (Mazda Redlands bay). I arrived at the fitment centre… Read more

(Redlands Bay Mazda) whom kindly directed me to the waiting area where a complimentary breakfast was on offer. 10mins later I was informed that my tyres had NOT ARRIVED. NOTE TO OTHER PERSPECTIVE CUSTOMERS: Carsales system does not keep record of any updates / changes that YOU make online to your booking. I returned home to find an email informing me that my tyres were being delivered to the FC today. Following my 20km round trip home to call and complain, the best they can do is re-direct my tyres to a fitment centre that is located 14kms from home. That will be an additional 30kms round trip! also much later in the day. *Bad Communication between Tyresales and the fitment centre. *Bad record keeping / no facility. ALL changes to a booking should be kept by tyresales and advised to the nominated fitment centre automatically. *Additional kilometers travelled (after a mistake is made with a booking) is a cost to the customer On Top of the total price paid for the tyres. Need I mention the price of fuel at the moment? SUPPLIMENTAL: 5mins on the highway north on our way to Frazer Island, the steering wheel began to shudder from 90km/h to 110km/hr, AND my right rear leaked and was almost flat when I reached the air-down area at in-skip point. Wheel alignment was NOT performed, wheel balance was NOT performed. My car should NOT have left the fitment centre with a leak.

Read the small print. Buyer beware – Purchased a full set of Pirelli Tyres for my Subaru family wagon. Was assured they have 12 month warranty before buying as I was wary of buying expensive ticket items online. Local tyre fitter warned me, if something went wrong Tyresales would not do anything about their so called warranty and he was right. Said all his customers complain about… Read more

this. Was too late by then.

After 13 months of normal, (mainly highway use), and only 16K kms, 2 tyres are completely finished and the other 2 are have weeks to go. Car is serviced every 6 months by Subaru dealer with full rotation, balance and alignment. Proof of this was supplied.

Tyresales stuffed me around for weeks, while asking me to contact Pirelli myself several times. Also had to call and email Tyresales myself every time I needed info or wanted an update. Countless promises to call me back with an update the next day by one customer service rep were never met.

After Pirelli sent back their report, concluding there was nothing wrong with their tyre, I was offered $184 back to purchase new tyres. Laughable to think that after spending $920 for new tyres, plus $180 for fitment and ongoing alignment costs to avoid this situation, I am now up for 4 new tyres only 13 months later!

To boot I also got my shocks, springs and ride train inspected due to the disbelief that it could be the tyres. Everything was in working order.

Overall the tyres are rubbish. I am part of a massive Subaru facebook group that rated these tyres. Every single person that purchased them over the last few years, said they would never buy them again. Every single person got around 12 months average use! One person only got 7 months! Pirelli don't make these anymore. I wonder why?!

In conclusion these Pirelli's might be rubbish tyres, but shouldn't the buck stop with the seller?

Very poor. Buyer beware.

Bad experience – I had my tyres replaced on the front of my vehicle, not the rear as they have tried to convince me. I know tyre dates are written WWYY yet their customer service team, mainly Alana insisted I was lying. I asked them to take my complaint to a higher level and she’s still telling me I’m a liar. Tyresales is good if nothing goes wrong. Obviously they handle complaints poorly

Beyond what I expected, top shelf customer service we rarely see these days – Due to the recent storms and a nasty bout of Covid I was unable to contact Tyresales as early as possible. If you are lucky enough to speak with Jacinta you will treated with courtesy, respect and receive the best customer service I have received in a very long time. We live in a semi rural location on the New England Highway and the potholes post… Read more

storm were next level, swallow up your car size. We were driving home one night post storm, I was busily missing potholes and then I was high beam flashed by a truck and landed in one of these monster pot holes. No damage to my alloy rims or suspension components but a horrible bulge on the sidewall of my Yokohama Advans, see photo which was bad enough to render the tyre useless. Sadly the tyres were still new and are fitted to a low mileage car, barely 300 kilometres on these tyres and a written off tyre, not a good outcome. I put my case to Tyresales and they were kind enough to sort out a new tyre for me. Now that is rare these days where most companies are so profit driven they forget their customers, this was an unexpected outcome. I was prepared to shoulder some of the cost and I told them up front. So, Tyresales customer service is excellent when put to the test and this is a perfect example of where the actions back up the talk. I notice there are some negative reviews about customer service and that seems to surround email response times and fitment centres, I am lucky as I have access to a number of fitment centres where I can pick and choose when and how the tyres are fitted, not everyone has that luxury. Well done Tyresales.

picking the right fitment centre is important – This is my second time I ordered tyre from tyresales. Additional costs for delivery for certain brand/model. My first experience was bad for the getting tyre to fit. The centre was having hard time fetching my order. I believe picking the right fitment centre is crucial. I picked another fitment centre this time, I am contacted via sms once the… Read more

Pathetic Service – Once you place your order customer service goes out the window. Over 48 hours for tyres to be despatched, and only after contact customer support. you for a date. To top it off drop the car off for the tyres to be fitted, phone call 4 hours later to be told the tyre machine is broken and can't fit the tyres. Can take the tyres and go else to get it fitted (which will have to pay someone else to fit) or wait to see if they can fix the machine and fit the tyres sometime in the next few days. Finally got the car back after a full day (8am drop off - 5pm pick up). Complimentary car clean didn’t happen - in fact the car was has residue on near the wheels which we had to clean off ourselves. Completely pathetic service all around. Don't let the price fool you, pay the extra to get good service from a reputable tyre place.

Excellent Customer Service – I was checking tyres for my BMW 325i it is an old 91 Bimmer that I am slowly restoring, I came across Tyresales who I had no idea were affiliated with Carsales, I ordered two rear tyres for the Bimmer 205/75/R17 Kuhmo PS71 priced right cheaper than another supplier who I have just written about in my reviews with no arguments or questions about… Read more

tyre placard. Tyresales supplied them to my nominated fitter within two days, the nominated fitter contacted me when they received the tyres booked the Bimmer in for the time and date that worked for me, no hassles no argument's and I even had the nominated fitter fit the tyres that I wanted to my Optima Gt same day as the other tyre supplier refused to fit to my Optima GT. Great Customer service form Tyresales sent me several emails advising me about the nominated fitter receiving the tyres that I had ordered and followed up with me to ensure that I had the tyres fitted to my Bimmer.

Fantastic tyre sale on line – I recently bought four Kumho tyres from Tyresales for my new van. The price includes shipping, fitting, balancing and wheel alignment and disposal of old tyres. it was the lowest price I could find. The tyre were delivered to Eastern Tyre Centre in two days and professionally fitted. Very friendly services here. The van drives like new and I couldn't be happier. Bill

If something goes wrong you are on your own, do not expect Tyre Sales to help – Tyre fitter had trouble fitting the tyres, tyre were noisy, then one blew out, solved the noisy issue. Bridgestone just brushed us off and tyre sales offered no real assistance just left us dealing with Bridgestone. We had to buy two new tyres. Tyres we 2 months old – heavy duty truck tyre. Don’t risk it, buy locally fi you can or form someone who will assist if the unthinkable happens-how lucky do you feel?

Re Toyo AT2 – We were up for replacement of our Toyo AT2 tyres, we decided that as our last set had given us 65,000k we would run with them again. I approached our local Toyo distributor and told him I was researching new tyre prices and what price could he supply. Long story short...Tyresales were $30 a tyre cheaper supplied and fitted. I had them fitted at the Toyo distributor. The hole process was painless..

horrible tyres – bought a set of 4 Winrun 255x60x17 tyres for my 2008 VW Touareg worst tyre purchase I have ever made. They are noisey on the road, after standing over night tyres sound as if they are running on cobble stones, and vibrations through the steering diminishes as tyres warm up.Too soon to comment on tyre wear.Would never purchase Winrun tyres again.

Never deal with TyreSales anymore :( – Ordered 4 tyres and received email confirmation of delivery. I visited the fitting centre as per the appointment, sadly, it's not delivered. Tyre Sales don't say sorry for the miscommunication. I requested refund and it follow up with almost 20 emails, few phone calls, and 2 months to get the money back. I never had such worst experience any businesses before... I learned patience and thats good part of it.

Great price and service – Before purchase I read many poor reviews of Tyresales and an equal amount of great reviews. Took the punt and I am glad I did. Bought a set of 4 Kuhmo Ecsta PS71 tyres in size 235 - 40 x19 during Black Friday sales from Tyresales. They were $212 each incl fitting, balancing and a wheel alignment. Great value. I got a call from my preferred fitter saying they had the tyres and we set up a time for fitment the next day. I was happy with this and with the communication on order progress from Tyresales. This is not a review of the tyres as I have only done 10 km on them but initial impression is good. I have no complaints with any part of the transaction and would recommend Tyresales for your next set of tyres.

Buyer beware!!!!! The poor man pays twice – Have always purchased tyres from Tyresales but won’t be anymore as the business is designed to put you, as the consumer at a commercial disadvantage. Buyer beware! Even though Tyresales is part of the Carsales group, their tyre offerings are far more inferior than others due to being an online and volume based business. They don't even hold… Read more

stock, they just drop ship and use anyone willing to fit them for peanuts.

I purchased Yokohama Geolandar Tyres which have a standard Hazzard warranty for two years (the reason why I’m happy to pay the premium over other brands). As Tyresales is not a preferred dealer, they do not get this warranty and only 12 months that they provide their customers . My tyre bruised at 13 months (of course) and only found this out when it’s my first time I’ve had an issue with a Yokohama Tyre in 20 years.

Support doesn’t work, they will pick up the phone only to instruct you to email them….which won’t be responded to.

The response over the phone was that I as the consumer purchasing tyres from Tyresales should always read the fine print and that by purchasing tyres from them I have voluntarily elected to have an inferior warranty of that would be otherwise provided by the manufacturer of the tyre. I would not purchase tyres from here as the ambiguity over the difference between their offerings vs regular bricks and mortar tyre stores is too high and comes with too much effort for the sake of saving $10 per tyre, and now is going to cost me $360 for a new tyre that would have otherwise been covered under Yokohamas Road Hazzard Certificate.

Edit 1/11/2021; have received a call from Yokohama direct at least they have good service and care; they said judging from the photo it was impact and that this would have been covered under their warranty if I purchased the tyre from a reputable retailer such as Tyrepower or Bob Jane. Still would highly recommend Yokohama as a tyre (the perfect all rounder) just not Carsales/Tyresales..... won't be shopping there ever again.

Terrible and abusive customer service by Tyresales – I have had a really bad experience with Tyresales customer service team. 1. They never email you on time, it takes them more than a week to get back to you on a query. And if you have missed a deal because of the the delay they have shown in replying, they would not honor you the deal, rather say "You had an opportunity to buy it during the deal,… Read more

why did you not buy the deal." Because they are so quick to respond on Trust Pilot, I have the time logs of their response time. 1st email: 2 days 2nd email: 3 days and me chasing it up with 3 emails 3rd email: 8 days and me chasing it up with 3 emails

2. They treat their customers like trash, on call the customer service representative, I normally don't name call but will do here, "Chris", would not listen to me and would interrupt me continuously. I am in the customer service industry myself and I have never seen someone so rude, demeaning and arrogant. It feels as if he hates his job and his life, and would take out his frustration on customers. I have only got best wishes for you Chris.

3. They say they price match with other competitors but when you ask them to price match they get offended. Chris (the not so content with his life dude), would tell me "You are trying to bring us down", of course if you are going to offer price match, customers are going to ask for it, why be a crybaby over it?

4. They have got all the time in the world to comment instantly on Trust Pilot and be defensive about their service, but they would take days to reply when their customers are in need. This shows that they care about their reputation more than their customers, if they would have cared about their customers, they would have called me and tried to resolve the matter and not write "We pride in our services", sure you do. How about you help your customers instead?

It is a shame that a company with such terrible customer service is still in business. Save yourself some trouble, go to a nearby tire shop and save yourself the hassle to deal with these not so smart people.
