I discovered 2 weeks ago, that I needed to replace at least two of my tyres due to low tread. I began to research online, suitable tyres for my SUV. Upon completing this task, I began to contact local dealers to find suitable tyres. Much to my dissapointment, 98% of the tyre dealers either, didn't have stock for the tyres required, or the price… Read more

was too expensive. I eventually contacted Tyre Right in Coffs Harbour and spoke with the Manager. I was working under a limited time frame, as I was about to leave Coffs Harbour for a 5/2 hour trip north. By this time, it was Friday afternoon. The Manager advised he would be able to have the tyres by Tuesday morning. The price was acceptable and much cheaper than other dealers I had contacted. I accepted this and he sent through the quote. I received a call on Tuesday morning, (3.3.26) to advise that the tyres had arrived. I advised I would be in shortly. I arrived and presented the vehicle for the fitting of the new tyres. After the fitting, I attempted to pay via Afterpay. I had already installed the Afterpay card to my Google Wallet. Despite numerous attempts by myself, and the Manager researching online to find a solution, every attempt to pay using the Afterpay card resulted in a transaction failure. inevitably, I had no option than to pay the total amount, which I could not afford. I did so, and left the establishment. Upon driving the vehicle, it became apparent that there was an issue. After reaching 100 kmh, there was pronounced vibration through the front accelerator pedal, my leg, steering wheel, and front drivers seat. I stopped and advised Tyre Right, who suggested I return, which I did. They advised that the problem was a wheel balancing issue, and proceeded to rebalancing the wheels. Upon completion, I left and started on my way again. Upon reaching the same speed (100 kmh), the same problem occurred. I called Tyre Right again, and spoke with the Manager, who advised he had received a similar complaint from another customer (who had tyres fitted the same day) with the same problem. He (The Manager) suspected that their (Tyre Right) balance machine was faulty. Due to this situation, and the fact that I was in transit out of town, he said he would ring around and see if he could organise a location that I could drop into to have the tyres rebalanced. The manager rang me back, and said he had contacted Tyrepower in Ballina who could do the job if I was there by 3:30 pm. I said I was unsure if I could make the time, but agreed to attempt to get there. I arrived at Tyrepower Ballina(20 mins late) and was seen to by the site Manager. His manner was impatient, rude and scolding, seemingly blamiing me for being late. I had not made a strict appointment, but was offered a time, which I did my best to keep. Upon tending to my vehicle, he then advised he only rebalanced the front as I was late, and suggested if the problem continued, to contact a local dealer to have the rear tyres rebalanced. After driving for some time it was obvious that the problem had not been fixed, but I had no option at this point, other than to continue to my destination in QLD. I contacted the Manager again at Tyre Right and advised of the outcome. He advised me to get in touch with a local Tyre outlet in QLD once I arrive, and have them investigate the problem. He said he would pay for the cost associated with the work. I eventually arrived at my destination in QLD later in the evening. The following day (4.3.26), I researched tyre outlets online in my area to see if I could find a local tyre outlet. I found a tyre outlet in Woodford (QLD), who agreed to see me the same day. Upon their completion investigating the wheel balancing problem, they advised the following: The rear tyres had NOT been balanced at all. The overall tyre pressure was set at 48 psi (12 psi over the reccomended pressure) The front wheels were bouncing up and down upon testing. They dropped the tyre pressure down to 36 psi. They correctly balanced all tyres and refiitted them accordingly. Upon driving the vehicle after this, there was a vast improvement in the comfort of the ride and the overall feel of the tyres, with virtually no vibration.

Check your tyre pressures – Bought 4 tyres & a wheel alignment. Customer service was good, tyres & wheel alignment was done promptly with no problems. Decent price & friendly staff. But..... Thought I would check tyre pressure the next day to see what I should put in them for a reference. 4 wheels had different pressures. 1 had 36 1 had 41 1 had 40 1 had 35 And no the… Read more

higher pressures were not the rears. Here I thought the right tyre pressure was important? So my warning.... CHECK YOUR TYRE PRESSURES!!

Very Happy Customer – Tyreright recently fitted 4 x good brand All Terrain tyres to our Trailblazer and the wife wasn't 100% happy with their wet weather handling. We contacted Tyreright and they immediately replaced the month old tyres with brand new top brand tyres at no extra cost. The customer service is almost too good to believe Show details

Not the cheapest, but I think the best overall – Best experience I've ever had from a tyre fitting service. They asked me what I was looking for in terms of a tyre... low road noise? wet weather grip? value for money? low wear? low rolling resistance? etc etc. Once they'd done that, we discussed options and they ordered the tyres in for me. They were ready at the appointed time and fitted my… Read more

tyres super fast. No trying to sell other services to me, just plain John Bull service. The reception and waiting area are great... large and airy, you can see your vehicle being attended to, free coffee, comfy chairs, TV, and heaps of space. Staff super attentive and friendly. They may not be the absolute cheapest, but in this case you get what you pay for.

Tyre Wrong – - Came into get two rear tyres replaced, they replaced the front ones instead - Member of staff lied twice. He seemed to perfectly remember my old tyre brand, but somehow forgot what tyres i wanted replaced. Oldest trick in the book to get you to replace all four. - Sleezy upselling tactics using fear based responses.

Absolutely Brilliant – Just brilliant Townsville dealer! Had a blown tyre due to large unavoidable pothole in bucketing rain out west of Townsville. Slow leak. Aother dealer wanted to sell me 4 new tyres. "Cant have different brands he said" We have Pirellis all round, so dump newish Pilellis and put 4 China tyres on...yeah right. We rang others, no-one was much help,… Read more

Rang and explained our situation to Andy and that we needed to be back in Brisbane next night. He was very positive. Pulled up, he recognised the car (Skoda Superb wagon) waved us straight in immediately and started on the tyre. Called me over, showed me where the steel belts had parted making the tyre unserviceable. Grabbed a new tyre and within a few minutes fitted and balanced it. In and out within 30 minutes. Outstanding service and excellent pricing.

Beware - do not deal with this company – I booked my car, Shop said Mickey Thompson or Coopers for same price, chose MT, booked in for next day At 1:30, turn up at 1:30, no tires, and guy tried to change day, I had a puncture in one tire on the car hubby put a in and the front tire had a blowout so spare was on the car. Staff drove to depot to pick them up, 3:30 he comes back, fits tires… Read more

I pay and drive off.

I get home three hrs later and hubby looked at tires and noticed they were "MasterCraft", not Mickey Thompson, checked invoice and it listed Master craft with the price of the mickey Thompson's $450 ea ($1800) and no wheel alignment as requested and expected when putting four new tires on. Has Mickey Thompson on the bottom though ? I didn't think to check because I got my car back two hrs after it was booked in and had to do stuff plus I live an hour out of town.

Be very careful, they lost one guys wheel and he was waiting two months later for it, and an old guy come in with a puncture and they turned him away stating "too busy", yet they weren't too busy as they only had my car and this other guys, and three guys out the back.

I've been here before, and they even charged for tire disposal.

Hubby will sort this Monday because these guys aren't open Saturdays, so, I won't ever go back to this company. Hope we can sort it.

Tyreright Windsor NSW - Great service – Hi all, I went into Tyreright Windsor NSW aiming to replace 2 tyres - tyres were 3 years old. My tyres are low profile and quite rare, so they ordered them in to do the job. After putting the car on the hoist, they told me the tyres were good and did not need replacement. This meant the ordered tyres were unneeded and they would be out of pocket.… Read more

Will never again deal with Tyreright, St Leonards, Tassie – It seems apparent to me that Tyreright @ St.Leonards policy is to never admit there's a problem with their tyres, and will do everything to avoid this, resulting in not taking care of a customer's real problem, and in my case, permanently losing repeat business as I used to make all my tyre purchases there. Things I experienced were, indirectly… Read more

accusing me of lying, also possibly thinking I was trying to scam a free set of tyres 'cus it was 10,000Ks before I went to them with the problem, but I don't drive everyday and it took that long till I experienced wet weather roads, and the bloke I talked to was so arrogant-delusional as to claim he knew more about how and where I drive my car than I do.

Everything I said and suggested in order to establish the problem and ways to resolve it was met with an expressionless face and a dismissive attitude that conveyed the customer is 100% wrong and lying and there's nothing wrong with their tyres, and if there is anything wrong with them, it's all the driver's doing.

Toyo Australia, after a few emails and phone calls also has this policy of never admitting there's a problem with their tyres. And the head of the Technical Department had a similar arrogant dismissive attitude as the Tyreright sales-rep, for the Toyo guy also was delusional in claiming to know how and where I drove my car, and of course means he was indirectly accusing me of lying.

And Toyo Japan, forget about it, they never even bothered to respond to my email.

Thus with all avenues explored, knowing I wasn't going to get my problem sorted by any of these companies, I dropped off the 1\4 to1\3 worn tyres at Tyreright, the same sales-rep just stared at me through the office window, never even came outside to deal, and I bought some wet-weather grippy mid-range performance tyres from Beaurepaires Lonnie who's policy is to take care of a customer for the life of the tyre.

The problem was the set of Toyo Nano 3s (bought from a shop on the mainland) I put on me Dawta's car were super grippy in the wet, even grippier than the GT Radials I've been buying from Tyreright for a few years. So back in Tassie I wanted to try them on me ute, but the Nano's I got from Tyreright had less wet grip than the cheap and nasty Bluestreaks which don't even have silica in them, yet they still out-performed (in the wet) the Tyreright Nanos.

Conclusion, the Nanos on me ute were duds, I suspect something went wrong during the manufacturing process, as they also had numerous tiny cracks on all tyres and lost 1-2 psi every day for the first coupe of weeks. Tyreright St Leonards would never admit the tyres are faulty.

For comparison, there's a particular tight 90 degree left-hander @ the crest of a hill on the way to the village. With fresh mild rain (that's when roads are very slippery) I can take that corner @100kph running GT Radials, a gingery and smooth 80kph with the old crappy Bluestreaks...and was shocked when I lost the front-end @ 70kph with the advertised super grippy Nanos 3s.

None of these companies even deserve the 1 star rating.

Most businesses I've dealt with over the last several years in Tassie are exceptional with genuine customer care, aftersales service, friendly and helpful staff or owners. Tyreright St Leonards is definitely not one of them. Anyone can be a delight within the initial product\services - money exchange phase; the true nature of folks is when you have an aftersales problem.
