I had 2 other garages check, and they both told me that there was a good chance that the engine would need to be removed to fix the leak, and given the cars age, they didn't recommend spending that much money getting it repaired.
I took my car back to Tyres and More, explained that the car was still leaking oil - they then told me that for $300.00 they would have it all resolved and when I heitated about the price they said "I would be silly not to do it" as there would be no more leak. I asked for a written quote so I could discuss with my husband and the very last line of the written quote stated "may have other leaks!!" So I do not recommend using their services!

should have told me that they couldn't get standard hight king springs. I Googled it and I could get them. But they said that's not one of our suppliers. Will why couldn't they tell me before the job then I could have bought them and got them to fit them. Now I have to pay someone else to do the job again.

We have used this Garage for about ten years for servicing all our cars and for fixing when needed. For tyres etc also. We find them extremely honest and the best we have ever been to in the 30 years in the area. Even though now we have moved to Middle Dural , we still use them as we know that they are trustworthy ❤️

inspection, it became clear that the wheel bearing had not been changed at all even though I had been charged for this. The damage caused by this not only meant I had to replace the bearing but also risked further damage to my vehicle had I not acted quickly.
When I contacted the company to address the issue, I expected them to take responsibility. Instead, they will not respond or acknowledge their errors, and offered no assistance whatsoever. Their refusal to stand by their work was incredibly frustrating, especially considering the significant amount of money I had already paid for the repair.
This entire experience has left me feeling cheated and angry. Not only did their poor workmanship cost me more money to fix elsewhere, but it also put my safety at risk. I would strongly advise against using Tyres and More for any vehicle repairs. Their lack of professionalism, accountability, and care for their customers is unacceptable. Save yourself the hassle and go to a company that stands behind their work.

I had no issue from the very start dealing with Robyn on the phone and I was very happy with the Tyres she recommended, which in the end we purchased and had fitted to my wife's Trailblazer 4WD. Wise Choise Tyres and more Lonsdale. If you want your wheels looked after take business elsewhere. Chipped the paint on the rim of my wheel when fitting the tyre. Did not tell me he had chipped the paint when I picked it up, I noticed it a soon as I had paid.
Follow-up · Did they offer to fix it? What was their response? - They did not offer to fix it. Blamed the paint on the rim instead of tasking responsibility for their carelessness. Was the chip deep? - The damage was not able to be rubbed out and repainted. It was necessary to fill the chip before repainting.
I needed tyres for some show wheels I bought for my car and I was recommended to Tyres & More at Hillsdale. Victor and his team had my new tyres on my wheels in no time and at a reasonable price. I'll be back i the future for some more friendly service and new tyres on my other cars.
Follow-up · I wanted Federal 595’s but they’re no longer available. My next choice were AR1’s but weren’t available in the size I wanted. I paid by eftpos. I live local, so I dropped my wheels off and picked them up when they were fitted. Bunnings is almost next door, so you could go shopping or to their cafe while you wait.

But knowing this ahead of time, I just book 1-2 weeks in advance! They're good with regular cars as well as 4WDs. Knowledgeable with tyres, too. Aside from getting our VW Amarok driving nicely again, the guys there have been extraordinary with helping us with another car (Hyundai Tucson - and we're now part of a class action lawsuit against Hyundai!) and the guys did all they could for the unknown engine failure: actually helped me to figure out which cylinders were failing with compression, and were very honest about what my next steps should be (ie not worth it to fix it!). I could have spent over $12K on this car unnecessarily replacing the engine, and the car probably still would've had problems. I appreciate their honesty and that they don't take people for granted. I like that the front desk guys (Adam especially) are really friendly - and all the staff there I've spoken with (Graeme as well) know engines and explain things in ways I can always understand. We keep going back because they do a great job on our cars, the prices are good, and the customer service is wonderful.

Grant and Kylie are some of the most reliable and trustworthy people I've ever had the pleasure of doing business with, and if you look at my other reviews, you will see that I am an incredibly harsh judge of poor customer service and untrustworthy people.
From Grant's assistance in buying a used car on a very tight budget when our old one was crashed into, to Kylie dropping us home every time our cars were being serviced, including the double trip she happily made when we were so tired we forgot our house keys at the garage and locked ourselves out.
Grant will never overcharge you and will give excellent economic advice if he believes a car is on its last legs and isn't worth putting more money into. You do not need to know anything about cars in order to receive his excellent guidance in this area. He will not steer you wrong. If you aren't quite able to keep up with his technical advice, Kylie will be able to sit with you until you do. The other younger staff in the garage are equally happy to share their advice and guidance, all having been mentored under Grant's excellence.
This family business are a Blackwood institution and there's a reason they are always fully booked out by the locals.
Even if I move away from the area, these guys will be worth making the trip to from anywhere in Adelaide for work on my cars. I suggest you do the same.

UPDATE - April 2019
The second time I went to Tyres and More Peter (owner and manager) assigned me a part-time mechanic to do an oil (with filter) change, rego check, and fix two punctures. This machanic (by his own admission), stated to me in person, that he hated being a menchanic and his work definately showed it. He did the following - 1) Put the wrong oil for the oil change - when confronted, Peter refused to change it!! 2) Filled out the log book incorrectly - I had to fix it. 3) Instead of fixing one tyre he simple moved it to the other side of the car. Several days later I noticed it was going flat again. 4) Put far too much air in the tyres. I discovered this the next time I went to the garage for petrol. 5) While driving it (I was present in the car) drove far to hard and rough.
Very disappointed in the significant change in attitude - won't go back !!!

Dodgy busines who don't use a reputable wholesalers – The wholesaler suppled 19 month old tyres and this business did nothing to check with the customer this was ok before fitting. Once fitted, the wholesaler refused to accept return/swap for newer tyre. The business has no interest in taking care of customers. Deal with a reputable company and always get the dealer to confirm new tyres will be less than 6 months old before having them fitted.
