The company is not able to replace the cord needed to operate honeycomb blinds. We bought 4 blinds in 2019 and the cords do wear out if you are operating them every day. Now they are saying I can buy a new cord but it might not be the correct size...

U Blinds is the worst company I have ever used for security doors and windows. In the past I've used other companies to put security windows and doors on with nil issues. I started contact with U Blinds in August 2024, it's now the start of April 2025. The security window are held in by the skews jutting out awkwardly to keep it in. Other… Read more

companies have metal strips that line the window edges that screw in neatly and look professional. The doors are still yet to be finished. After 3days of "installing" end of November 2024, the installer simply left with just putting doors on the rails and then leaving. No locks where installed to the doors. No security doors for the front of my house, missing doggy door I had ordered. Finally a different installer who seemed to know what is was actually doing came out end of February 2025, to inform me the security doors on my front door will not fit and if they manage to put them on they will damage my front door handle in time. I want a refund. The rear sliding doors were out with a cm gap, and new doors need to replace them. The sliding door to my laundry is also measured wrong.

U blinds refuse to refund me, though they are in breach of site 60 and 62 of Consumer Affairs Victoria. Site 60 - Services not done with due care and skill. Site 62 - Reasonable time of supply.

All I get back in response is "Thanks for your email, we agree to your Terms and will have our Security expert Contact you once the Replacement Doors have Arrived. As discussed we are Committed to Completing your Installation to Australian Standards. Once again thanks for your patience."

Though I find this email unclear, will they issue a refund for my front door screens as they will just damage my front door handle which I love and do not want damaged. What measurements are they going off, for the other doors? When will someone be in contact with me in regard to installing - hopefully the correct sizes? Meanwhile I don't feel fully safe in my home due to this, I feel so much stress from the whole debacle, last thing I needed during my first pregnancy.

Save yourself the time, money and stress and go with another company. Never pay in full when they have not delivered on their product. What a mistake I made.

major stuff up on their end. They’re now telling me I have to wait another 5 days. WHY? This should be fixed immediately. I doubt I’ll see them in 5 days time and I doubt they’ll tell me that they’ve changed the date again. I am beyond furious right now!!!! Zero communication from them! Do not use this company – Do not recommend Ublinds at all. My father paid in full on the 2nd Oct 2023 for plantation shutters to be installed. Now on the 6th Dec 2023 we still do not have any shutters installed. Numerous issues and problems including having the wrong size shutters ordered and delivered, then the right size shutters delivered weeks later but no hinges… Read more

included so the installer could not install them. Then it was, the hinges will be delivered from QLD and now it is the hinges will be ordered from China.

The only comments we get are “we are very sorry for the delay and “we will let you know as soon as they are available” with no action whatsoever from management.

My father has stage 4 cancer with minimal time left and having moved into a brand new house in September he will most likely never see these plantation shutters installed at this rate. Living with chemo treatments and sleeping in a bedroom with sheets stuck to the window instead of his paid for in full shutters.

An absolute disgrace, and no resolution insight. Everyone who answers the phone has a stock standard unhelpful response and management won’t refund the money paid or escalate any installation.

Oh and there are boxes and boxes of useless shutters in the garage which they refuse to collect and are blocking the garage entrance A constant reminder of what a terrible business you are.

So disappointing.

half months when they arrange installation, they demanded balance to be paid prior to installation which I refused because I had no trust and [Name Removed] threatened me saying, if I won't pay after installation then they will come back and remove the blind. If you want hassle and poor customer service then use U Blinds. I will never use U Blinds again and will not recommend to anyone. I am running a business and if I will delay any work then I always look after my customer by offering them some sort of discount or some free service but U Blinds do not care about their customers. STAY AWAY FROM U BLINDS. They are very good in making excuses and giving grief to their customers.

I should have read the reviews before dealing with this dysfunctional company – On 3 December 2021 I paid a 50% deposit of $1000 on ordering shutters from a very pleasant U Blinds salesman who estimated delivery to be in late January. more we phoned again on 2 March 2022 to learn that the blinds were in the warehouse and would be installed any day soon Waited another week to be told that the blinds would be installed on 14 March. On 14 March the installer phone to say that he was not well and would come a week later. I expressed my disappointment as we had closed the bookings for the guest cottages which were to receive the shutters and blinds. Today on 21 March the installer arrived demanding payment before doing the installation. In my 74 years I have never had to pay in full for a job not completed. By now I had read the poor reviews and instances where payment was made only to find defects thereafter and customers struggling to get a refund or the fault rectified. On speaking to someone at U Blinds I informed them that I was not happy to pay before I was satisfied with the installed product only to be informed that had I properly read the contract Ii would have known that this was how it worked. I explained clearly that I would pay on the nail the minute the product was installed to my satisfaction and not a minute earlier and if they were not happy with this arrangement the installer could go and I would forfeit the $1000 deposit. I was informed that I was liable and would be sued and lose my credit rating to which I replied that as I never purchase on credit this would not worry me. Finally after consulting the boss she relented. The product was installed very neatly and we are very happy with the quality and appearance. However we are NOT happy with how we were treated by the company and would certainly find it impossible to recommend U Blinds to any friends.

After speaking to her she apologised for the trouble we were having with our lack of warranty and assistance on the poor standard of our inoperable blinds. and haven’t heard from her since. We now have a VCAT hearing date for May and have had a positive response from the ACCC.

As per other reviews this company is one of the very worst to deal with. In our case we had Venetian blinds installed in several rooms at a cost of $3000. From the time they were put up they did not work correctly with the turning mechanisms failing so blinds offered no privacy when shut. Pull cord needed the strength of two hands to make the blinds open and shut. We had to make 6 phone calls just to the salesman [Name Removed] before we got any progress. Eventually an installer came out again had a look declared that he didn’t know what was wrong with them and couldn’t fix them. Told us to ring [Name Removed] the manager. Spoke to [Name Removed] who talked the talk but obviously had no intention of assisting us. A total of 17 phone calls with no luck. Eventually we had Consumer Affairs Victoria get involved. They also spoke to [Name Removed] who agreed the blinds were faulty and told them he would sort matter with his director and get back to us with a solution. Obviously nothing eventuated. As others have done in other states we are now in the process of commencing the process of going to Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal and then taking further action through ACCC as they now have a history of this type of behaviour. Our advice is deal with this company at your own peril.

chase up twice. No call back. On Friday I get a call asking if ground is level. They sent out an installer to measure and quote the job I told the guy there was new concrete. To date I was told to email Sally who I don't believe exists. No response. Now emailed sales

They are not worth it. Stick to other companies please. Do yourself a favour.

Save yourself the time & effort. Don't use Ublinds – This really has been a comedy of errors, but I'm not laughing. We ordered a full house of blinds for our brand new house in November 2020. It's December 2021 and we still haven't received our full order. It took 5 months for the first lot of blinds to arrive. Turns out the salesman/quoter didn't measure the window frames properly. the installer had to butcher the frames to make them fit (see picutre).

In addition to this, there were: - holes & damages to both the roller blinds and plantation shutters which meant they needed replacing - incorrect sized roller blinds sent - incorrect motor sent for automated blind - missing panels for plantation shutters.

Not to mention the installer clearly hadn't used deodorant for a week or two.

After waiting a further 2 months to have this fixed (and requesting a different installer), they still hadn't ordered the replacement shutter.

The plantation shutters in all the windows had to be removed & replaced due to the butchering of the frames by the first installer, this left us with no window coverings for 2 weeks.

After waiting a further 2 months, the remaining plantation shutters hadn't arrived. I asked U Blinds to have this sorted out or I would be getting the rest of the order elsewhere & seeking a refund.

Their installer didn't arrive when he said he would, instead rocked up AFTER 9PM AT NIGHT wanting to do the job.

Unprofessional from the start till now.

Don't get sucked in by their price. It's not worth it.
