The updated drawing was emailed to me on the 25th July! Tender was updated upon my request after two weeks! They started to communicate with me again in October to proceed to the next stage! At that stage we decided to pull off from this builder after engaging a significant amount of money. Very slow pre construction process and they do not provide a wide range of custom things I asked for, even though they claim them as a custom builder.

idea, and the U Homes team have been nothing short of amazing throughout the process so far. They’ve helped me finalise the drafting, offered clever tips and tricks to optimise the layout, and ensured every feature I wanted was incorporated with great attention to detail.
What really stood out was how much they listened. They truly took the time to understand what I wanted and delivered a design that exceeded my expectations. I now have the perfect layout, and I couldn’t be more excited for the next stage of the journey.

Poor Quality and unresponsive builder – I bought a built brand new house about two years ago from this builder. The only positive thing I can say about the builder is the fact that the house layout can be customised. This house has an excellent and a very efficient layout. doors not closing, gaps in skirting etc. Some cracks are as big as 70 cm long.
I reported these issues to their customer care and maintenance, and only after many many follow-ups, they finally did a plumbing inspection after a few months from my initial report. The outcome was that, there were cracks in the drainage causing movement in the soil, resulting in cracks in the house. According to the builder all those cracks were in the drain portions that were underneath the external concreting work that I had done after the handover. Therefore the builder had a convenient excuse and asked me get the drain repairs done, following which they would allow a few months for the house to resettle, and then work on the cracks, and other issues inside the house. I argued that there is no chance of drains getting damaged by external concreting work. The drain pipes were at least 80 cm underneath the ground. This was not acceptable to the builder. I had no choice but to get the drain cracks repaired at my own expense. Now, while the repairs were being done, one of those drain damage was found 'Under the Foundation Slab'. I immediately contacted the builder's customer care over phone about it, and also wrote many emails. The customer care told me that this information has been passed on to the maintenance team. Until the next 4 months no one from maintenance contacted my regarding it, given the severity of the issue that the crack was under the foundation slab. After 4 months when the building manager called me, he said that he had no idea about my email or my call to customer care, and did not know about the crack under the foundation slab until that moment. I don't know how to react to this. This was unbelievable. I had even sent a pdf with the pictures of how things have gotten worse inside the house in every room. This includes gaps betwen floor and wall tiles in all bathrooms. The building said that they would come back with a plan. It has been 6 weeks since then, and I have made further follow-ups via email and phone calls. The maintenance manager does not seem to be bothered, and I have not received any response.
I will be escalating this issue, especially the one where a crack was found in the drain underneath the house slab with the relevant legal bodies. I hope no one has to go through this kind of an ordeal with a builder that does not seem to have any integrity, after delivering such poor quality work.
Good experience – Fantastic job done by Binal, Reece and the construction team. We have a beautiful house and living here for the past 2 months has been good. well. The site manger Reece kept us informed of every stage as we could not go to the site often. The admin staff Brigette, Jeanette, Millaray were also very quick in terms of responding to my questions. The house looks beautiful. So far so good. Good work U Homes: Unique Build. STARS - Colour selection process was non existent in our case. It was quick 30 mins appointment with lot of things missed out which took few months to resolve. We did not get exactly what we wanted in certain areas (eg. kitchen island waterfall). We understand that there has been some change in management and hopefully this issue has been addressed. We dealt with Ash to resolve our problems. He was switched on and addressed our issues straight away. 3. Mid and Post construction Experience - FIVE STARS - Construction phase was smooth and quick. Quality of work is of high standards (As we wanted). We dealt with Reece as our site supervisor and I must say that he has got great attention to detail. Any problems we saw or thought of were addressed before even raising them with him. He is very pro-active. Love his work.
SUMMARY - I can not speak highly enough for amount of support we received from Binal, Ash and Reece. Over all great team. They know what they are doing (Just need bit improvement on colour selection process)
Wonderful Experience – My experience building with Uhomes has been fantastic. From the design stage to the final handover everyting worked out without any stress or pain.
