acknowledging I would lose my deposit. I received a call from the owner to say he was sorry for my position and that, even though the couch had now arrived, he would refund my deposit. It went to my account straight away. Very generous and unexpected. I will be back, and I hope others will support this quality business.

Didn’t live up tp previous purchase – Having purchased a custom made dining table and chairs several years ago, i was a return customer. The post purchase to delivery communication was poor- that is,non existent . The couch has finally been delivered- it’s okay. satisfied with the product, however I have to remove one star because of bad experience with the delivery services. The delivery scheduled without notifying me. I only found out the late afternoon that my product will be delivered next day morning.

Bad customer service – I went to visit the Nunawading store today with my kids, after browsing some of the sofas online. The salesperson at this store did not greet me as I walked in, which was pretty standard at all the other furniture stores that I previously visited. She then proceeded to give my children and I judgmental stares as my children went around the store with me to test out some sofas. Admittedly, one of my kids ran to one of the sofas, which I quickly addressed and reminded him to walk in the store. This salesperson looked up at glared at both of us.

I found the shopping experience here to be very disappointing and I was interested in purchasing one of the lounge suites but the lack of customer service, as well as the unwelcoming vibe was enough to make me walk out.

Excellent quality furniture and great service – I have purchased a number of furniture pieces over the last few years. I have found that the quality of their furniture is far beyond other major stores. The customer service over the years has always been of a high standard they know their products and give good advice. The one thing I like about Urban Rhythm is they are not pushy they give you time to browse and look at the furniture. Well worth a visit especially when they have a sale on. Show details ·  1

Excellent service and products! – We were impressed by the lay out of the store in Richmond and how easy it was to view all furnishings etc. We saw what we wanted immediately and with the valued opinion and assistance of Rachelle ended up with a sofa, chairs and cushions. She was excellent in recommending the design and materials involved and we are now living with them. They are well built, upholstered and comfortable. consultant we saw was very pleasant and then left us to have a good look around which was great.

However, one of the pieces we would like to order is an extending dining table. We wanted to "test" opening it and closing it again to make sure we could both manage it easily (we had been shown how to do this at Nunawading two days prior) and I have had similar extending tables in the past. Sadly, another consultant came over and made us feel like naughty children for touching the furniture without the consultant present! She kept an eye on us for the rest of our time in the store (which was cut short as I felt so uncomfortable). We are both professionals in our 60s; I'm a qualified interior designer. We really didn't appreciate her rather condescending tone. We are considering spending several thousand dollars with Urban Rhythm and we need to be really sure of our decision. We wanted to be given plenty of time to discuss the options together, on our own, and to ask questions of the consultant(s) when we were ready. Needless to say, should we decide proceed, we shall be ordering from Nunawading.

Human Error times two – I happily purchased two dining chairs - more than I would ordinarily pay . Two weeks later I picked them up from the depot - got them home, wrong colour. I emailed and they were prompt and helpful, extending apologies for 'human error'. Six weeks later I received a call saying replacement chairs were ready. at the Nunawading store. Carried two chairs into the Centre, up narrow escalator and into store. Replacement chairs were wrong again. Same colour wrong. Staff were apologetic. I hauled the wrong chairs down the escalator and back to car. Was told that the right chairs would be ready next week. I agreed to another swap at the Nunawading store. I'm a little dubious now. I suspect next week's chairs might be right chairs, but floor stock. I was going to buy two more chairs in a different colour, but I now think I might purchase more dining chairs elsewhere.

August 4th 2019 Update: Very unimpressed

Very unimpressed with Urban Rhythm. After twice getting seat colours wrong (distinctly different colours from the colour ordered), I now have floor stock. The chair sticks to the floor indicating that sticky pads have been removed. They did give me two clearance scatter cushions but that doesn't compensate for floor stock when I paid full amount for the chairs.

Beautiful Product, Terrible Customer Service – Product looks great, hopefully it will last, but overall a disappointing experience, would not recommend this company, customer service is somewhat lacking.

best table to compliment the chairs. The table is perfect and was very reasonably priced, the purchase process was easy and quick and delivery which I was told was 4 to 6 weeks arrived in 3. The team they use for deliveries was also great. They gave a window of time for arrival so I didn't have to hang around all day and they delivered on a Saturday which made it so much easier. Overall a great experience, thanks Urban Rhythm!

Amazing service! – We bought our first sofa setting from Urban Rhythm over 15 years ago and a chaise sofa a couple of years after that. help with fabric selection which would otherwise have been overwhelming for our Melba sofa and piecing together a beautiful Oslo table with the black Lotus chairs.

We understood that our beautiful sofa was being made to our custom order and that it was a busy sales time of year, so we appreciated that it would take time. Admittedly I felt like a child waiting for Christmas, but the furniture was ready within the window promised.

We live in the city and have a lot of stairs that all of the furniture had to go up. I was concerned with how the delivery would go, so at the point of sale I explained these things. The delivery guys were first class and delivered everything upstairs. The table was delivered with legs separated from the top so that it could fit upstairs. The guys took time and even some ingenuity to put it all together. They even took all of the packaging away so that I wouldn’t have to deal with its disposal or recycling. We are thrilled with our furniture and will happily recommend Urban Rhythm to friends.

Poor service - dreadful non matching furniture - total lack of care - shameful & total lack of servi – Purchased 4 Newstead Dining Chairs in Tassie Oak with Champagne finish. Purchased 1 Hawkesbury Dining Table - Tassie Oak with Champage finish. ALAS not one of the chairs match & none match the table. Quick to sell - not quick to come forward & admit their fault. is completely different to the chairs. Andrew - Warehouse Manager came out to look & didn't seem to offer any explanation only they will be collected their carrier.

We are so unhappy with their total lack of service & responsibly & customer care & require a full refund. Andrew stated that we should have bought the table & chairs together which we did so this is such a lame excuse for their poor workmanship - SO BEWARE if you purchase from URBAN RHYTHM & only buy a matching suite (eg table & chairs together) as they can't guarantee that in fact they can get the wood/ finish to match! Terrible to deal with - terrible lack of follow up - terrible lack of care or concern that these items don't in fact match - no responsibility by any staff members - apparently they can only sell but can't follow through with a complaint - BUYER BEWARE in the case of URBAN RHYTHM! We have stated we would like a full refund as what we purchased is in fact not what was delivered.

I have emailed the Nunawading store, I have called the Nunawading store, I have visited the Nunawading store with absolutely no response only ohhs & ahhs! & absolutely no positive action, response re the above. Apparently they can only sell & are absolutely powerless to provide any other assistance.

The amazing Alberto couch 3 weeks old – Bought this Alberto 3 seater at Nunawading store. Wanted Australian made and scored Melbourne made so very happy! This sofa is very comfortable and has that ahhh factor as you nestle in. I chose Warwick fabric and I've scotchguarded it with Guardsman. sofa has been made to a very high standard. I want to thank the older lady at the store for her exceptional service. I've never had such attention to detail in purchasing any piece of furniture.
