My 2 dogs absolutely love the chicken chunkers! It's the only pre-made product I've found that doesn't flare their skin allergies, and supports their gut health. Wish I could buy it in bulk! Show details
The cocker loves it! – have been givng it to my Cocker Spaniel (name: Tiger) since he was 2 yrs old - he is now 10. I have not had any issue with this Product. Tiger gobbles it down! Show details

Beagles are a fan – I have 2 beagle pups, 12 months and 10 months young. They'd started to become finicky with their usual dry feed, served up with fresh chicken and veg. Have tried these as another garnish for their dry feed and they appear to go down very well without any digestive incidents. To those who aren't happy with the product because of "contamination" - return it to your place of purchase. Show details
An easy and convenient Dog's Dinner – My 10 year old Chihuahua Kelpie Cross eats three small meals a day with Chunkers for Breakfast and Dinner. I like to add some steam cooked Chicken Thigh or Breast too, well diced. He has his little biscuits too. Supper for him is usually beef or roo dried straps and a dental stick. He loves Kangeroo. Sometimes he initially turns his nose up at… Read more · 1
his Chunkers but always comes back shortly after despite my steamed chook being absent. I'm ok with that as he does need to lose some weight, just like me.
For Christmas dinner he just had a bowl of freshly steamed chicken thighs which he adores. I prefer he usually gets a balanced diet that Clunkers offers.
To keep his Chunkers fresh I freeze them but put a few days worth into a sealable container stored in the fridge, not the freezer. I put some of the cooled Chunkets into his ceramic bowl and microwave them for 12 seconds to warm them up. He likes that, especially if I mix in some stemed chook.
A good trick I learned was that before putting his Chunkers into the freezer, I flatten out the pack to spread the chunks out evenly. So when it's needed it's easy to twist and turn the pack to loosen up the frozen chunks to top up his fridge food container. I have never had a problem with his food spoiling using that routine. It does say on the Chunkers bag to consume it within 3 days once opened, hence my freezing method. Weighing in at 6kg, my little boy could never eat a pack of Chunkers in 3 days.
I won't let my little mate eat human or cat food which is bad for him. The worst being: Chocolate, Milk, Cheese, Onion, Macadamia nuts, Garlic, Grapes, Avocados, Apple cores, Yeast dough, Caffeine and even Bacon. He drools for Bacon but none for him, or me nowadays. Cat food is a big No-No for dogs.
Dogs love it – I found this product amazing for easing the bloating, they love them. I have a jack russell + fox terrier and feed every single morning, they love them and all bloating has gone. Never seen my dogs so excited when I say "chunkers" every day lol. I recommend these and I buy lots and just freeze them. Show details · 1

Garlic in chunkers – I have read that garlic is toxic for dogs, why is in chunkers? I don't understand. Actually this part has been added to this review - I just saw multiple reviews about this same concern of mine and VIP has done nothing to change this toxic product shame on you VIP Show details

Garlic? Just take it out – What are you guys thinking? Just take out the garlic - you should already know this and have acted on it ages ago. We don't care if it's the last ingredient - in fact, it just supports the fact that it's an unnecessary ingredient and one that potentially carries a long-term risk to pets. Baffling. A no from me. YOU TRY TO KILL MY DOG – NEVER EVER BUY THIS BRAND OF FOOD! My dog is currently suffering from garlic poisoning. Why would you put garlic in food when it is clearly toxic to dogs. To all dog owners please PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS BRAND! Show details

Not happy with Woolworths price hike – My dog loves the chicken but Woolworths have put the price up to $6, was $4.25 28/01/2022 . I might have to put her on rations. Only has them at bedtime. Show details · 1
My dog likes them but doesn’t love them – **EDIT** my dog won’t eat them any more. He turns his nose up at them. Won’t buy them again. These are great value, my dog likes them if he’s hungry enough but he doesn’t seem to like them a lot. They have a strong garlic smell and I think that’s why he only eats them if he’s hungry. Health Risk to dogs – Our dogs loved this food & we found it very convenient to serve, but after having to throw 3 bags of it out after opening them to find the contents had gone off, we've ditched this dog food. A one off I could accept but not 3 times. Show details

Irristable – Pet food that looks good and natural . My dogs just love it. There is never any left over. They enjoy the. Lamb flavour as well but I think they like the chicken the best. Show details · 1
Something's changed, used to be good – They used to be good, my dog loved them and I could buy a week's worth at a time but a few months ago their appearance changed, I didn't think much of it but in the last few weeks they have all smelled bad when I open the bag even when well in date, sometimes they have a really salty smell like off ham. I also discovered white mould earlier in… Read more
the year as others have mentioned. The bags used to be vacuum sealed, they don't seem to be anymore which likely has something to do with it. After reading other reviews and seeing others are finding the same I now know it's not just me, I am choosing to cook my own dog food now.

If my dogs eat it it must be ok! – Bought this For the first time only three weeks ago, I need his last of my two small dogs entire week. Given we also have a number of cats it will get you to almost any of the food stuff, the dogs must like it, because they never leave it for the other for animals get hold of it. They would never not eating it, but they will balk at my dog and other processes tinned foods. I have just tried them on the lamb as well and they are very happy. Show details
This food goes off very quickly – This product made my Malshi very sick with tummy grumbles and not eating for over 24 hours. The product goes smelly and sticky after a few days and well before it's use by date. Should I be freezing it in small portions? Show details

Brilliant – absolutely awesome my 4 dogs love them excellent nutrition for them , never had any issues but please for the love of god after opening divvy up into portions and freeze as it doesn't last long in fridge at all 3 days tops before they go off or start to grow mold Show details · 1
Not ideal – Opened a bag and fed to my shitzu ( a week before due date ) .. next day she had tummy grumbles and wouldn't eat .. checked the bag of chicken chunkers and there is a white mould throughout the whole bag , and all over the chunks .. Lucky my dog is okay , or you would have a lawsuit on your hands gggrrrr :( Show details

Dogs love it - Use it quickly though – My two small dogs love this food, and I have got it repeatedly as it is very affordable and I add it to their dry food for dinner. But I have had numerous defective bags where the ziplock has come away from one side of the bag. Even with non-defective bags, properly sealed and in the fridge I have found the product does become smelly about three… Read more
days after opening and probably off by the fourth day. This has meant that over time I've had to throw out 1/4 or 1/3 of a bag here and there. Your experience may vary as my dogs are small and wouldn't get through all that in four days.
Chunkers Chicken – My 11 month old staffy x loves them he gobbles them down and looks for more. The bags always stay fresh and the product is always moist I highly recommended them thankyou Show details · 1
Dogs love them – Every bag I’ve had have been fresh, my 3 dogs, (1 adult & 2x almost adult), all love this product & have them for breakfast every morning. Must be kept chilled & helps to stay fresh if the zip on the bag is closed properly. I’ve never had a bad bag or had a bag go off half used - I always use the full bag right to the bottom.

Perfect they never go off when closed properly – It’s the only thing I can get my pug to eat and they are always the right colour and they do not make dogs sick they are probably already sick and quick to blame this product. If the bag is closed properly with the zip lock it cannot go bad and I roll it over as well. Some of the reviews are a bit over the top and I would only listen to the good reviews as some people like to mess around with reviews.
Amazing! But watch portion size – My dog loves these! She eats them with her kibble every night. I think the problems other people might be having is the size of the portion. If we give her too many or forget to also give her kibble her poos do become soft. She has never been sick from them though. We will continue to buy the chicken ones for a long time.
Very thirsty dog after eating this pet food – Its says on the packet that 1.5 of the net weight is "salt" so i work that out as 15 grams in 1 kg. My dog eats this meal and less than a hour later he is drinking water like hes eaten a bowl of chili peppers. Somethings not right with this dog food. The following day i give him natures gift sausage and hes a few licks at his water after eating.
Clunkers Chicken – Bought this for a very fussy Jack Russell puppy, she loved it at first but went off it when we bought the second pack. Unfortunately the packet was no good after 3 days. The chicken balls were off, so we decided to give the rest to our older 12 yr old dog to eat. He does eat anything, and enjoyed it. That was the main problem for us- the product wasn't fresh enough once opened, after 3 days.
Dog loves it! – I find the reviews on here interesting, because there are so many bad ones. My little dog (Pug X something) things it's wonderful! He can't get it down quick enough and I've never seen him sick in any way from it. Anyway, I searched your product online to find out the variants and came across this site with the poor reviews. I haven't thought… Read more
to weigh the packet but will in future just in case and will let you know if it falls short.
Hopefully our dog will continue to love it because we'll be buying more of it.
Best food for our babies – I have two small dogs ( Maltese and schnitzel) . We have been using the chicken chunkers for the past few months and have noticed the babies bowels are great after changing from a previous wet food. They love their food. They won't even touch half of the other tin food such as Pal and my dog . A very happy customer. Keen to see what other products that may be released
You Poisoned My Dog! – We bought Chunkers chicken balls for our dog as a treat. After the first meal the diarrhea was so bad, and so fast, that we had to throw out a lounge room rug. Then again last night she had diarrhea, was incredibly sick with it and my husband had to stay up in the case he needed the emergency vet. How dare VIP keep this product on the market… Read more
knowing that it is doing this to family pets! The reviews on here certainly not flattering, and food poisoning in a dog is not a matter to be taken lightly.
I won't buy this product again – This product WAS great and my old dogs ate it, until I bought another couple of bags and the food smelled off (not fresh). This dog food could/should have been a wonderful alternative to dry food for older dogs with sensitive teeth etc.. Such a shame! The cost of this dog food and also wasting space in the supermarkets fridge meat dept. is ridiculous. Unhappy Customer to say the least.

Chunkers Chicken with egg – These meatballs poisoned my dog. After 2 days of eating these she became to hemorrhage and vomit huge blood piles and her bowel movements were nothing but bloody liquid. After spending over $1,000 at the vet she is doing ok, but not 100%. I am not a happy person because had we not rushed her to the vet they said she would have died.
Product smelt when opening – I purchased chicken flavour at woolies, when I opened the packet the odour was so bad that it spread through the house, I'm reading all these reviews and nothing has been done to solve this issue. Clearly something is not right, the used by date still had 1 month to go, I'm not happy. This product could do damage to my dog, please do something rather than replying with same comments not acceptable.
thankyou for your feedback I will pass on to our quality Assurance team for investigstion
Not happy anymore – When buying at Coles most times the packets are almost out of code. My dog ate the first lot after opening the bag and now turns his nose up, will not eat them, he would rather go hungry, in desperation he now eats his biscuits. Wondering if individual bags inside a bag would work I buy him the 7 pack inside a bag opposition's product and he loves them
Will not use, made dog sick & scratch ?allergy – Hubby thought these were good- he has lost sense of smell. Used for a month and noticed dog started to scratch, never had fleas, always treated with Sentinal Plus all rounder. Intermittent restlessness followed by vomiting up food on a regular basis. Quiet distressing. We back tracked & the only change was the introduction of the clunkers-… Read more
chicken, egg & parsley. We are removing this from her diet. The food label is very limited with information. Preservative 223 so we are hoping we can stop this itching. Convenient serving size prevents over feeding Lack of details on label of contents
mine loved it – No dramas feeding mine this product find it much better than the rolls .. happy pups and I mix with good biscuits No rotten pks or such
