workmanship and professionalism were the only aspects that salvaged parts of this project once the work commenced.

However, the rest of our journey was marked by repeated failures:

Poor communication and planning from the design phase through to installation. We were constantly chasing quotes, updates, and corrections to plans and contracts riddled with errors.

Instructions ignored despite being provided in writing, from appliance specifications to finishes and pantry details.

Major OH&S concerns: heavy cabinetry and shelving were left to a single installer, posing serious injury risks. My husband felt compelled to help lift units to prevent an accident. This is unacceptable and unsafe.

Delays and rework caused by missing components, incorrect orders and incorrect installation, and lack of communication and follow-up by Verto Kitchens, leading to additional costs and rescheduling of our plumber and electrician. The project was well over time.

Project management failures forced us, the clients, to act as de facto project managers, rescheduling trades, correcting supply errors, and even assisting the installer on site. We were assigned a project manager but did not hear from him until the very end after repeatedly asking Verto Kitchens for someone to call us and let us know what is going on with out installation.

The final straw was Verto’s dismissive communication, at one point we were simply told by their office admin team “we are busy.” For a project of this size and cost, that response reflects an alarming lack of accountability and professionalism. The most concerning part was the response from their senior management highlighted their dismissive approach to customer concerns. In summary: Verto Kitchens did not deliver on their contractual obligations to manage communication, quality assurance, or subcontractors effectively. The end product itself may be fine, but the process was unnecessarily stressful, drawn out, and unsafe.

We have undertaken several renovations over the years, many larger in scale than this kitchen. While we acknowledge that every project can face “challenges,” as Verto Kitchens describes them, our experience went well beyond normal hurdles. What we encountered was a clear lack of project management and a consistent pattern of substandard service and communication, falling far short of what was promised and expected for the scope of works. Unless Verto urgently improves its project management, customer service, communication, quality assurance, and OH&S practices, I cannot recommend them.

Installing a good kitchen is not enough. Customers are paying a significant amount of money, and Verto Kitchens needs to step up and operate professionally in all aspects.

quality of his work. The builder, electrician, and plumber were all professional, easy to work with, and completed their tasks as required, which helped the renovation run smoothly.

However, there were a few areas for improvement. The plastering work was disappointing. The plasterers had to come back to fix issues, but even after their return, the results were below standard. Now that our house has been painted, the imperfections are glaring, with poor cornice work and uneven patches on the ceiling that stand out like a sore thumb.

Additionally, we never really received a formal handover of our kitchen from Verto, which would have been a nice touch to conclude the renovation. It’s a process that could help address any final questions or ensure everything is completed to satisfaction.

While we would recommend Verto Kitchen for their overall coordination and the quality of most of their trades, we suggest arranging your own plasterer for a higher-quality finish and encouraging Verto to implement a proper handover process for their future projects.

Cabinet maker yelled at me (in my kitchen) when I asked a question about the 2 cupboard doors. Response of management was he must have been having a bad day..... they apologised on behalf of him... not good enough... mechanism in our new dishwasher) the new installer that attached the new door said the wrong screws were used and not attached properly. Overall I wouldn't recommend this company. 3 week turnaround has taken months.

Our kitchen rebuild was an absolute nightmare! What was supposed to be a 2 week project turned into 12! We have been left with damaged floors & the GM did not offer any customer service whatsoever! A most dissapointing & frustrating experience.

Avoid this company. After taking our $1000 deposit they had to change our design after a it was discovered that a load bearing wall could not be removed. impossible to get responses from and when we could get a hold of them with our questions they were rude and dismissive. We told them.we wouldn't use them if they didn't provide us with a breakdown of what we were paying for but they still refused and wouldn't give us our money back. So this greedy company took our $1000 and did zero work. If you want a kitchen company that is transparent, polite and fair ,DO NOT use Verto and do not pay them a cent until.you have all of the information you need. They will happily keep your deposit and refuse the give it back if you ask for details about what you are paying for. Unbelievable they can get away with it.

We had a small disagreement over hardware for corner cupboards, but this was eventually resolved. Really nice, well finished kitchen. Installers knew what they were doing and made sure every surface was up to standard. Very pleased with the finished result. Show reply

Little or poor project management and site coordination – From day one there was no Verto Kitchens site manager onsite to coordinate the multiple trades that were engaged and we had no project manager to contact. inferior quality sink. Project management and advice on products are the specific services that Verto offered and is the reason we chose to use them. This project has not been managed by Verto professionally. We have been forced to inspect the work and resolve installation problems. We are meant to be on holidays but instead we are dealing with problems caused by Verto's failure to project manage correctly. We have also been requested to make the final payment - even though the kitchen is not finished. We now have an unfinished kitchen and we can only speak to the receptionist as there seems to be STILL no project manager taking control of the kitchen finish.

other builders to quote on the same job. Verto were the only ones who gave us an itemized list of everything they were doing and costs involved, the other builders just threw a total number at us. It was a no brainer to have Verto do the job. All the staff and trades people involved were very friendly, polite and respectful, even if something wasn’t their job they would still find out the information for us. I can honestly say that we highly recommend Verto kitchens at Bundall.
