Never Ever Ever Join Voicetalk – Absolutely deplorable company (if you can call them that) I implore you to never use them!! Disgusting customer service, long waits, no contact, they are terrible.

Terrible service and support – Voice talk are a telstra and optus wholesale ISP. We selected them for our home NBN service. Worst mistake ever made. My mother is blind, they forced her over onto the nbn and promised to have it installed for her and she wouldnt have to worry about anything. The installer came around, left the modem/router on the kitchen table and said im not here to install it. i test the line. He said just plug it in you cant go wrong. My mum stated she was blind and you can clearly see she is by just looking at her.
Its now been 3 weeks. No internet, no phone, nothing. The support was rude and arrogant. Insisting its her fault even though she explained to them before signing up it needs to be installed for her as she cant see. They want to charge her to get someone else out to install it..... sending her invoices and ringing demanding payment already on a service that is not connected yet.
My mother has resorted to calling me. I have been in the industry for 10 years. I have access to wholesale networks and i have sent a tech out on site I work with on a regular basis. I can see its setup correctly. It cannot make contact with the authorisation server to even try and authorise the connection. There is no line sync between the router and the dslam/exchanges. cannot communicate with router from wan to lan.
Their technical support are script readers from a international call centre. They dont have a clue what im talking about which is basic language in the industry.
DO NOT go with this company. Not only are their plans way over priced but they are just a reseller/wholesale company of telstra and optus. So essentially you are just paying more for someone to be the middle man with even worse support.
They are now wanting to force a technican of their own (they mean telstra) to go out there and check the connection as apparently my mum never requested a tech to install it for her..... Yeeeeeeah i dont see a blind person saying "SURE! i can hook up all this stuff without being able to see it"... obviously she stated im blind and i wont be able to install this for myself. The sales person said thats fine it will be installed for you.
I have spent hours and hours on the phone to them. Got no where. Its such a basic fix. However they need to escalate this to telstra who in turn want to go out. To go out they will charge Voice talk so voice talk are trying to charge my mother. In other words they dont want to pay for their stuff up.
What a joke.
