These guys are not sales people; they know bikes and build them. The owner is so honest and helpful. I was interested in his $5000 ebike but he suggested one that was much better suited for me, which a couple of thousand dollars cheaper. Quality parts; quality ebikes; quality service! I've been extremely happy with my volition dingo max bike - the bafang motor and battery are powerful and last 60 + km of riding and the super plush suspension is a dream. The customer service at volition was great and I would definitely recommend checking them out if you are after an e bike!
Classic bike like a little Harley Davidson. I had to be reminded of the speed limit-Too funny at my age. Wonderful brakes, great handling and comfort. Totally bonded with this little Beast.

Sydney and halfway back again, which says a lot about how well the bike has held up.
Both the motor and battery (900 watt hour) are still going strong, with only a slight drop in battery performance which would be expected with this amount of heavy use. The bike is comfortable, smooth, and genuinely enjoyable to ride, which makes the commute something I actually look forward to each day.
It’s handled regular long-distance riding without any issues, and the build quality has really impressed me. If you’re looking for a dependable e-bike for commuting, I’d happily recommend the Koala Cruiser and the team at Volition

6'3"body no problem. I commute to work each day, 27km each way, the charge is not quite enough to get me return trip (just), but I will be getting a 2nd charger and will charge at work for the trip home. The route I take has a few hills, 130mtrs of climb typically, I average around 35kph for the trip. Off road its amazing - rarely do I get out of assist level 1, and I switch it off all together for approx. 40% of any ride. Comfortably get 50km, including a 6 km leg from home to the trail head. Get to an incline on power assist 1 and it feels like a jet pack pushing up up the hill, great fun! Highly recommend!!
I would go somewhere else – My experience with Volition custom Ebike’s are they are not of a very high standard, of what could and should be good bikes. They say their bafang motors are custom tuned, if so, it’s a bad tune, on sports mode the battery power only lasts 10 minutes or less on their biggest battery, that’s not much of a ride. system, which is a great system when used properly, but the bike from Volition I don’t believe are the right standard or quality, their the bikes frames or components are not straight (eg [Content Removed] gauge), so expect the belts to come off. I would recommend [Brand Removed] in the USA, you may pay a little more, but after all said and done it won’t cost you much more, but you’ll get a far superior product. They do an incredible job with their Bafang Ultra motors with the Archon X1 controller system, it has an estimated 5 times more power and 5 times more efficient on power consumption than on the Bafang motors Volition push out, I’ve used both and it’s night and day, I’d never go back to a bafang Motor without the Archon X1 controller, if you can’t afford a whole bike, then get the bike frame locally but get the motor from [Link Removed]. Lastly about customer service, while [Brand Removed] can be challenging to deal with being US based they do eventually get back to you and know what they’re talking about, the customer service offered by Volition is perhaps the most concerning, they really don’t seem to care, they make up endless excuses for their shortfalls and just plain lie about their products and knowledge. I wouldn’t recommend Volition Ebikes, while few and far between, there are alternatives for good quality high powered ebikes and when you get it right it makes it all worth it, get it wrong, expect an expensive painful exercise. The worst in the industry – Whatevevr you do, DO NOT BUY A BIKE FROM VOLITION. I wasted over b$6000 there and now starting Legal action. chain,Motor, Gears, brake pads worn after 10 kms. Nuts were missing in crutial areas that made the bike unsafe. If you want to be unbelievably frustrated and waste your money then go there, otherwise keep well clear of these inexperienced cowboys. If they reply to this i'm sure they will not take any responsibility. Keep in mind these issues were raised with them in less than 1 week. Im happy to show pics and emails to anyone who wants to see how bad they really are after you take delivery of your so called great ebike.

going gets tough (or I get tired) the bafang comes of strong and smooth. Dual suspension and fat tyres mean all day in the saddle is not an issue

While there the owner was extremely UNhelpful with the bike I had brought from QLD to SYDNEY to get a battery for, it was a difficult frame, and gauging by the website it seemed he could help me as they apparently made stuff in Australia and I was keen for a solution.
Against all my gut feeling I chose to buy a controller which was double the price of a standard one because allegedly it had increased performance only I found it was just a standard controller for double the price and and somehow not even as good as the one I had removed which was extremely disappointing.
When I contacted them they immediately disagreed, offered no solution reminding me they are the best and exclusive blah blah bla they aren’t anything but [Content Removed] and misleading in my experience. I got the same response I expect when buying stuff from [Content Removed] that isn’t as you expected when you receive it.
There are many great bike shops around Australia, I highly recommend avoiding this one, why not support a good one.
I say bad and not terrible because they did actually send the goods unlike the [Content Removed] “electrified.com.au” also reviewed on this site and was the following problem I had unfortunately.

(didn't have to charge it for the entire week). The Cruiser itself was good looking and definitely turned some heads! Just one thing to be mindful of if you are tall the position on the bike can get uncomfortable after a while (no seating adjustments) but it didn't bother me for my 20-30min commute.
Overall the team was very professional, responsive and pleasant to deal with. I would definitely consider a Cruiser as an alternative to a Moped to navigate through traffic at speed or parking right on the beach!

need the extra performance. Following purchase I had a few more questions regarding maintenance and they were only too happy to help me out. Post purchase service is excellent. My only gripe is that it took a bit longer to get the bike than it would another shop, but I suppose that is the price you pay for dealing with an in-demand business.

Now while I bought the bike without seeing it, I knew the specs that my bike came and I thought it was value for money (compared to having to build it yourself). The bike was built well, the Bafang G510 on it fit seamlessly into the frame and I thought they did a good job with the build. The screws and nuts on every aspect of the bike was loose so make sure you do a good check of EVERY nut before you head out for a spin. Everything was loose - from the nuts in the stand to the ones in front.
2 months into using the bike, the derailleur hanger snapped and the bike chewed my derailleur up. While I know that a hanger is a consumable, I paid 110 bucks to get the derailleur replaced at the local bike shop. Mind you, Volition’s derailleur hanger is so unique - and can ONLY be bought from them. Literally no other bike shop stocks their variant of the derailleur hanger. I ended up purchasing two derailleur hangers from them and got it shipped over and installed.
All in all, I did about 300kms with the bike.The advantage of buying a Bafang motor from Volition is they reseal their motors making them more waterproof compared to buying one off AliExpress and building yourself.
I ended up selling the bike 4 months into using it as I felt that I had outgrown the speed and wanted something faster - my friend’s diy bbshd (cadence sensing) went heaps faster than this. But the Volition Max is a good torque sensing bike for those who prefer that assist mode.
