PROS: Excellent for someone who has no time and knowledge of bikes and has plenty of money, you tell them what you want and give them money and they always deliver, very helpful staff. You can go into the store and see the physical product. CONS: They try really hard to get you to join their "customer tracking club" and have incentives like 2… Read more
tier pricing, that can be up to thousands of dollars difference. They currently have the Bunnings strategy to take over the whole Australia bike market and push out the little stores. They basically sell the same online stock but with their markup prices, for example the same $3 plastic bike mirror from ebay they sell it for $30. If you have time look online at "local" ebay sellers before you buy from them.

Top service and advice – My wife and I went to 99 bikes Morley as we were looking at e-bikes and Morley is an e bike specialist. Cass greeted us and worked through a suitable bike for my wife even suggesting an alternative to the one we were considering based on some good feedback she gave. After arranging to get the bike in from another store she then moved to helping me… Read more
select a bike. I had concerns over the frame size and the ability of the front and rear shocks to handle a larger frame such as me. Cass pumped up the rear shocks to the suggested level and offered a test ride for me to test the suspension and the motor side of the bike. After riding the bike we agreed to put a deposit down to hold my selected bike whilst they got my wife’s bike in to test ride. As promised a week later we received a message from Cass to say the bike had arrived. We went down and confirmed the bike for my wife was suitable with a test ride. Ultimately Cass and the store helped immensely with advice and even looking after us with a discount on the price as well as some extra parts such as suspension pump and fitting a water cage. We couldn’t recommend Cass and the store more highly. If you are considering a bike whether it be a kids bike through to the ultimate racing road or mtb bike or e bike then make sure you go and have a chat with them and see if they can help you out.
Norco Slight – Ipswich sales and service are excellent, have always valued their advice on anything bikes, thx Tim.
Fantastic Service in Penrith Store form Ethan – Spoke to Ethan and he was fantastic, extremely knowledgeable about the products I required. After talking options he did the height measurement and configured the bike I chose (without an pressure) and also help with bike conversation bars for other bikes. And he also went out of his way to show the best practice of put new bike on our bike rack on vehicle. Thank you Ethan for Fantastic Service. Show details

I bought a Pedal Roar 24” Kids Bike from the store. After bringing it home, my kids took it for a proper test ride and we realised it was a 6-speed bike, even though the website advertises it as 7-speed. I called the store a day after the purchased to ask about this and inquired about the bike’s speed specification. At first, the staff member… Read more
said it was 7-speed. When I explained that I had purchased the bike a day before and it was only 6-speed, he cut me off and said it was actually 6-speed and that the website specification was wrong and might need to be updated.
To me, this sounds odd, but I can only take his word for it and hope that the advertisement is corrected and reflects the full and accurate specifications.
Thank you for taking the time to reach out and for… Read more

Looking into a cracking /rattling sound from the pedal area – Excellent service from a very helpful staff member Jason. A pleasure to deal with Show details · 1
Follow-up · The cause of the sound was a damaged link in the chain. The team member replaced the damaged chain with a new one which took about 5 minutes. The problem was solved very easily and I have not had any issues since

my experience only the Cannon Hill staff recognise this fact and so I'm happy to drive 35-40 minutes from the south western side of Brisbane to receive this immediate service when I call to book in my wheelchair. Much appreciated again!

If I could give 0 stars I would. Bought a new bike before Xmas. (Roughly and $800 bike on sale down to $500). Bought new pedals just after Xmas at same store. Employee from the store fitted the pedals. Pedal fell off and the pedal had stripped the thread. 99 bikes apparently replaced the crank arm and completed the first free service. since it was… Read more
replaced have been back 4 times because pedals and pedal arms were slipping immediately after the service was completed. Was told it was fixed. Literally rode the bike out of the shop and went back in 5 minutes because it wasn’t fixed. Bike mechanic was told it was still happening and his response was “I don’t f*%king know what’s wrong with it.” Finally fixed the slipping issue after we had left the bike at the store but it caused the gears to make noise and the pedal arms were to creak. Took it back again and was told that my 12yo son was “riding it faster than it should go, and wasn’t greasing the chain often enough.” Also told “chain was loose and it’s not a road bike”. I would have thought the chain would have been check at least when it was brought back numerous times. Then told we had to buy degreaser and chain lube for the bike (upselling). 2 month old bike sounding like a used bike and being told it’s the 12yo old fault. Have bought bikes from Kmart that have lasted longer than this one. Lip service and no accountability followed by offensive language and being told it’s user error. Not a chance I’d tell anyone to go there or ever go back. I’d rather pay to go to another bike store to get it sorted than deal with 99 bikes. They did fix the bike for free over and over but the whole experience was very disappointing
Thanks for the honest feedback, I am really sorry to… Read more

the lemon. As I write this I have owned this bike 92 days with 42 days of it being in the 99 bike repair shop. Ist issue Brakes which sadly 99 bikes were slow to fix. Very slow. Second issue was middle shock collapsing, leaking air/ this happened over Christmas period so 3 weeks to repair - under warranty. Then today I had the pc or power fail, possible battery or e fault so yes she is back in the shop for the 7 th time in 3 months.
In my frustrations as I had no bike over holiday season, I purchased a Merida e160 from 99 Bikes and after one month cannot fault her. She is perfect. Tested and still perfect.
Hopefully 99 Bikes will honor bike satisfaction guarantee and refund me.
My review here is to share my story should you be deciding which bike is best.
I should add, I am loyal to 99 Bikes, not holding them fully responsible, though their service and communications played a big part in slow return to me which was nothing short of disappointing.
They do stock the Merida which I bought from them. My 5th purchase in 4 years.

also want to put a deposit on a new 29inch Sivler back that I saw on their Internet site & this time I was speaking with two staff members their names were Chris & Declan very helpful and both of them I thought when out of their way to help me as they could see I wasn't a professional bike rider but they treated me like I was one. In by the way they were making sure this was the right bike for me & my height as I have had a medium 29 inch frame but now I want to try a Large or a XL frame. They only had a Large Sivler back which the staff member Declan advice me it maybe to big for me which I thought was good Ducking customers service . But I felt comfortable on it so I asked Declan could he please ordered me a XL 29inch Sivler back which he did for me ,thank you Declan for your help . A few days after putting a deposit for a new bike I started to get worried about maybe that I should have taken Declan advice just in case the bike frame was to big for me so I rang back to store & spoke to Chris who said I wouldn't lose my 50.00 Dollars deposit this was a relief. Two months later I went to their new store at Royal Park to pick-up my new bike, while picking up my bike I also met another two staff member their names were Ben& Chris once again Ben & Chris,Declan all of these staff members have great public relations skills in reassuring me if that I have any trouble with the bike or frame in that it is to big for me, that I could swap it over with in 30 days of purchase . I have purchased a few bikes in my lifetime from other stores & been ripped off, but have never been given so much advise & help from the staff members at 99Bikes Royal Park well done.

Just walked out of there, terrible service. Rude brown man very unhelpful telling us “it’s too busy on weekends to test ride, people steal them” 3 professionals in our 40’s…. I said well we want to buy today but need to test drive….. nothing. Well done losing at least $10k in sales.

Hey, my name is Alex (commonly known as Leadfoot). I recently went to a 99 Bikes store in Artarmon as I was changing my lifestyle & wanted to include something thrilling & adrenaline-pumping. choice for my desire of a bike between $700-$900, at a sale price of $769 down from the original $1099 & all I had to do was join the club. One of the store workers named Liam immediately convinced me that this was the right choice for me & I happily put a deposit onto it & within days picked it up along with the equipment needed, altogether paying less than 3/4 of the full price. The bike truly is a beast & quite capable, whether on path, off-path, road, or wilderness & bike tracks. Quite a strong & wonderfully designed thing & my getting used to mastering the switching between its geers & suspension hardness is truly fun activity to take on at any time that I am bored - or just need some adrenaline pumping & a thrill. Great job 99 Bikes!
Happy to purchase bike at 50% discount for $1700 at the end of year sale. Dissapointed to return to the store two months later and see the same bike for $1500. I had been conned. Show details

bought a bike from the store is because all the bikes we own were purchased second hand or left of the side of the road for council to take.
The staff are also very helpful in providing advice on how to fix a bike we find or someone gives to us.
