Easy transaction, product better than advertised
Fast delivery within 3 days which is great in these covid times....product was even better than expected from what was described on the website . I will def be buying again from them in the future
Mark was super helpful and knowledgeable. Steered me away from a BMX which would have been too big and heavy for my 7 yr old. Stock was limited due to Covid, but obviously not the stores fault. Love the after service initiative that you take your new bike in to get checked and serviced 6 wks after purchase. Very happy so far, interested to see how the bike performs when my son starts riding it, it seems great quality.
Very good service
Great service! Matt from port Melbourne shop help me out with a good customer service , fixing my bike very quickly!!!! Would recommend and will be back when I need it
Poor Customer Service
Took my 3 daughters in to purchase bikes, asked staff for assistance and got completely ignored. I’ve since emailed head office who never responded. Browns Plains store, you’ll never get my business
The staff at this shop are excellent and always happy to help you with any of your enquires. This is the only place I will go to when I have an issue with my bike or to purchase parts etc.
Up from Brisbane, riding with some mates from Golden Beach to Twin Waters and my Di2 battery started to die. Popped into 99bikes and they put my bike on charge. 30 minutes later I'm charged up and on my way.
Thank you. I'll be back to actually spend some money next time!! Tim.
Biggest piece of crap bike, terrible customer service
I brought a bike for my 3 year old son for Christmas from 99 Bikes and had an all round terrible experience. It's up there with the worst product and the worst customer experience I have ever had.
First the sales assistant who sold me the bike gave me the wrong advice about the size of the bike, materials used and helmet required.
Second, the bike had been hidding in the back of the car until Christmas day. When he unwraped the gift there was already rust on some of the bolts, the bell was broken and the training wheel coming off.
Third, ...when we returned the bike and asked for a refund or exchange, they rejected our request and said the bike was still able to be fixed in it's current condition. Despite my repeated request for an exchange or refund they refused. Did a dubious job of fixing it and sent us on our way. Since then we have had REPEATED and ONGOING issues with the product. It is, in plain language, a piece of crap. If you're thinking of getting a kids bike I implore you to avoid this dealer.

Best customer service
Brought two ebikes from 99 bikes plus some accessories. Reasonably priced. Best customer service in town, never felt rushed or pressured. Went back for seat adjustment a few days later and was not a problem. Great team
Very well laid out store that has everything and if they don't have it, they can get it in for you.
The gentleman who serves us didn't try to sell us the most expensive helmet, he sold us what was appropriate for our needs at the time as recreational cyclists.
I would definitely recommend this store to any level of cyclist.
Great customer service
I recently bought a Comfier bike seat from 99 Bikes Preston, but struggled with adjusting it myself. Josh was patient and helpful in adjusting my bike seat. Thank you Josh!
1st Experience Fantastic Service, 2nd Experience Fantastic Service!
Big thank you to Brit who went on the hunt for our Merida bike around Australia and was able to locate one in Sydney last two in Australia yay! Brit had it shipped over and within a few days, I received a call to come and pick it up, On arrival at the store Tim whose assisted me was friendly, helpful and made the whole process so easy. Thanks again for your great customer service 5 stars....and love the bike :)
Rude and misinformed staff
Can’t say all the staff were bad but the young man I was served by was very dismissive when I asked questions about a products suitability as though he were only interested in getting me out the door ASAP. First he tells me the size of tube I am asking for ‘does not exist’ and he does not even take a moment to look at my photograph with the wheel and it’s dimensions (wheel size 28, is less common but it is printed on some bikes). He insisted the 28-32 c tube was suitable as he compared it to the dimensions of a bike in store of the same brand a...s mine, after I told him mine was a different model of that bike, he insisted ‘this is the right one’. When arriving home and pulling my wheels apart I find it is indeed the wrong size as I had suspected in store as the bike in store had thinner wheels than mine. I return to ask for a replacement of the right size and he insists ‘that is the one I gave you last time’, i try to explain again and again the dimensions are off and he is stone walling me repeating ‘its the right one. It’s the right one.’ Like I have no idea what I am talking about. I don’t know if it was a sexist thing because I’m a chick or what. It is only when I ask him to look at the receipt, he sees he actually sold me the 28-35c and not the 35-42c like he is saying he did. He did not even apologise. Anyway the ‘right one’ turned out to be not ideal either - a tube advertised as max 42c, sold to me for use in a bike wheel requiring a 50c because 42 c was the largest they stocked. It can be made to fit sure but I was seeking information and would have like to have been told that there are better options elsewhere instead of the usual sales nonsense when my safety is concerned. I talked to other cyclists on bike forums - and they unanimously said 42c MIGHT be ok but is pushing it and I’m better with a larger one where the range actually encompasses 50c. I commute daily near heavy traffic at high speeds and would prefer to avoid an accident in any way I can, please if possible, it’s kind of important to me thanks. I ended up buying the right tubes online and getting all my information from Reddit. Would have saved a time if time to do this to start with and save to ego battles. This store was a waste of time, bus money and stress to make the 40 minute effort to get there and be treated like garbage. I was made to pay a membership fee to be treated like an annoyance and shooed out the door with the wrong information and products, twice?? Please.
I took my bike into this store this morning to have a service and a couple of other things done. The service I received was exemplary from the service technician Henry. The service was done without fuss and Henry made sure every detail was addressed. I was very impressed.
Bad customer service, rude staff
Didn't enjoy my experience here at all. Staff seem always on edge & it's almost like you are annoying them by asking any questions. Won't be buying anythinf from here again
Recently I purchased a new Mountain bike through 99 Bikes in Bayswater. The range available was great and I was even able to test ride the bike within the spacious store. The staff have a good level of product knowledge and really listened to my requirements before recommending the bike I ended up with. I'm very happy!
Chris’s service and product knowledge are second to none.Top bloke too. Will be recommending the North Lakes store to all my Mountain Bike mates as well.Keep up the awesome service Chris, well done.
Great customer service and quality workmanship.
Dropped in on Saturday 13 June , the shop had a queue that was about 15 deep for most of the day. The guys came out and spoke to everyone every 10 mins to keep clients updated. I had a chain fixed and my e bike serviced by the service team and nothing was a trouble. They even walked my bike back to my car. I will use these guys agin .
Poor customer service and attitude
I took my bike to 2 of these bike stores in North West Sydney for the first time as the Giant shop which I never had any issues with and always got some useful servicing info closed due to the Covid 19.
The first 99 bikes store serviced my bike and when I arrived to pick it up I was made to wait for nearly 20 mins despite them knowing I was coming and all they had to do was give me my bike. I then had to return the bike another day as the issue which I clearly pointed out to the bike tech was not fixed first time. To sum up the attitude of the...
Terrific customer service
I phoned from Canberra seeking a specific ebike that was out of stock in my local 99 Bike shop. Dave checked to see if it was in stock, called me back straight away and discussed payment options. He even gave me a call when it was built and ready for collection. I was met at the door by Dave when I arrived and the suspension was set up for my weight and the battery was fully charged. Dave even dropped the price by a few hundred to compensate for my drive from Canberra. Very happy with the quality of service and price.
Ignored price match requests
99 bikes guarantee to beat any competitors price by 5%. I've requested a price match for an item 3 times and have been ignored each time. I guess I'll be purchasing from MTB Direct. Poor customer service!
