VoltX installed a 40kWh battery with 10kW 3 phase inverter and 3 power circuits on UPS backup. The installation was finished by lunchtime and we haven't paid for electricity ever since that day, not even a daily fee. Our account is currently in credit after several weeks. Show reply

only had to wait a week to get the batteries installed. The team that installed the batteries were here on time, the batteries were delivered at the same time. The team worked through explained to me what the process was and had the job done in about 5 hours. They were able to setup the on line app and register my system with me before they left. My house was also cleaned up by the installation team. They do leave the boxes that the batteries come in but this is in the documentation and they give you an allowance to dispose of the boxes at the tip. We also have had follow up calls to see how the system is working. Very pleased with Voltx so much so we have referred Voltx to friends of ours. No issues with this company easy to work with has been our experience.

I have had a Neovolt battery supplied and installed byVoltx since early July and it has performed as expected apart from the inverter Wi-Fi going off-line frequently. Voltx has offered no support. I had a number of phone conversations with a person from “tech support” who offered no support whatsoever and who now does not take my calls. The support help was great. Prompt response via email. When the battery covers came, they covered the battery very well. The whole solution is now working well. Only small issue is I had to install a wifi extender from my router in order for the communication device to have access to the wifi signal. Show reply
Follow-up · There is no noise or sound. Installation was over a whole day. After a month or so, found that i needed a wifi repeater as shown in attachment photo. Cheap solution for a full solution. The canopy covers are in fact necessary to keep the operating temperature of the batteries within a recommended range.

stages from quote, pre installation, support, sales and installation. Each one of them assured me the next agent will let me know who the installer will be BEFORE committing.
I've spoken to [Name Removed] at the enquiry stage, [Name Removed] and [Name Removed] from Product and Services, [Name Removed] from Support, [Name Removed] from Sales, [Name Removed] from Installation and [Name Removed] from Customer Service.
My enquiry was made on the 30th of April and confirmed a date for the installation on the 20th of July.
Long story short, there was a lot of back and forth during each stage regarding the who the installer is going to be because the previous agent told me that the next person will be able to answer my enquiry. I was hesitant to provide further information regarding spacing size, photos and location because each person I spoke wanted different information from me and when they have it, I would be passed onto the next team. I followed along with their sales process and provided everything they needed before booking the installation.
[Name Removed] who I had been communicating with the most assured me who the installer will be AFTER I provide a installation date. Once I gave her the installation date, I havent heard back from her or been able to get in contact with her for over a week. During that time I have been contacted by [Name Removed] to confirm the date and time of the installation and when asked who the installer would be, I was told he will email everything to me. I did not received any email and when I called/text him I did not get a response or call back. [Name Removed] finally called me back after I emailed to cancel the installation. She confirm the who the installer is, I told her to confirm via text so I have it in writing and she did.
Tomorrow is the battery installation and I get a call from a DIFFERENT sub contactor at 4:38pm asking me questions about the installation site because Voltx did not provide enough information. He told he would be here at 9:30am when I had booked it for 8am.
Called [Name Removed] straight after who didnt pick up, so called Voltx and spoke to [Name Removed] at 4:46pm asking him why the installer changed. Was put on hold while he brings up my file, asked me who called then put me on hold, told me that the original installer had been assigned somewhere else and puts me on hold, then tells me that [Name Removed] or [Name Removed] will be calling me back as soon as this call ends and NO ONE CALLED ME BACK. It was a 17 minute phone call with [Name Removed] and I was on hold for 14 minutes, called ended at 5:03pm outside of business hours.

This is something that should have been verified prior to contract acceptance—not after the customer has relied on the agreement and committed time and planning. The cancellation has caused inconvenience and delays, especially as I was working within a limited timeframe to install a battery system and secure available rebates. Accepting a contract and then withdrawing due to internal resourcing constraints raises concerns about the company’s processes and due diligence. What further compounded the issue was the lack of follow-up. I was advised that my case had been escalated to management and that I would be contacted within the week. This did not occur. While I have been informed that my deposit will be refunded, the overall handling of this matter falls short of reasonable expectations for service delivery and customer care. Key issues: Contract accepted without confirming installer availability Unilateral cancellation due to internal constraints Failure to follow through on promised management escalation Customer impacted by time-sensitive commitments and forced to restart the process Justification provided despite location in a major metropolitan area Based on this experience, I would strongly recommend that prospective customers obtain clear, written confirmation of installer availability and delivery timelines before proceeding.

installed on the internal AC battery lines instead of the main grid lines, leaving the system completely blind. Furthermore, the physical installation was left incomplete and non-compliant: 1. The installers cut a hole through my soffit/fascia panel to route the conduits and left it completely unsealed and exposed to pests and water. I have had to temporarily stuff this hole with plastic wrapping myself to protect my roof cavity. 2. The installers initially attempted to mount the two NeoVolt units flush against each other. This completely violates VoltX’s explicit manufacturer specifications mandating a minimum 300mm clearance for thermal dissipation and maintenance switch access. 3. After correcting the spacing, the interconnecting flexible conduits were left loosely hanging and dangling across the brickwork between the units, failing basic AS/NZS mechanical cable protection and mounting standards. I have faced lengthy delays trying to get VoltX to send a technician back to resolve these basic trade errors. Every day of delay means I am losing the expected financial savings of a working system. Fortunately, I have withheld the final balance payment and will not be releasing a single dollar more until a licensed electrician rectifies this installation to a compliant, weatherproof standard. I have fully documented all defective work and structural damage with photographs. I am waiting for VoltX senior management to contact me immediately with a priority rectification date before I escalate this matter to the Office of Fair Trading.
This morning, I emailed to all at Bytewatt requesting their intervention on my behalf.
Following a closer visual inspection of my outdoor battery stack today (15 Aug 2026), I have discovered a major, dangerous installation defect that was 99% completely hidden from view. The installer entirely omitted the protective cover/lid panel on the lower battery module before stacking the top module over it.
Dealing with the VoltX team has been a nightmare from my perspective as a customer; they offer nothing but empty platitudes and generic responses instead of committing to actual rectification. This project has been a “nightmare” upon “completion”—from the non-functional system miswiring, to the trade workmanship, and now this severe safety hazard. Because the lower module was left completely uncovered, there is a large opening (almost concealed from view by the top module …. The attached video will show that) leaving the internal cavity and high-voltage orange wiring paths exposed to the open air. Since this is an outdoor system, it apparently completely voids the IP65 weather rating, poses an immediate short-circuit or fire risk when it rains, and threatens my warranty. Responsive customer service. Workmanship of installed battery has top notch. Clean up after the job been remarkable. Would recommend. Only thing to point out installer did not go through the battery app, probably I shld have asked for a demo. However I called customer service and they were more than helpful.
