A good move – I contacted Walkers because I wanted my wooden furniture handled carefully in the move - a dozen pieces in all. The removalists exceeded my expectations - Bryce and Mark were a combination of strength and elegance, and there was zero damage to my stuff.

not given a contact number only the run around. Walkers took advantage of my vulnerability, I was left in limbo without an accurate amount as to the upfront charges. I had no clue my things were going to go by rail, nor about the add ons & ons I was grossly overcharged for months of storage none of which just less than one month. I couldnt wait to get my stuff out of their aura. The sales rep was so defensive. I ended up paying almost $7,000 if not they said they would not release my small load. I was charged on the space I used and the storage time. The communication was unprofessional. New person each time, it was like a revolving door. Walkers only want money not the responsibility. I should have read the reviews of Walkers Move & Storage before handing them my card. Live and learn My expensive lesson. Buyer beware.

Went from good to bad – We used Walkers to move our family interstate from Sydney. several thousand dollars. Emails about goods damaged by the movers and enquiries about when we would be refunded for the unused boxes supplied by Walkers went unanswered. No one ever seemed to know what was happening when we called up either, and the people that we needed to speak to were often away from the office. Overall, this was a great disappointment that could have been overcome with better communication and organisation.

Damaged goods and bad communication – Logistics for a move of 2 crates from tasmania to western australia. Goods where damaged due to the mishandling of the crates. as yet have received nothing. The customer service is so good they wont answer emails so court action is the next move. Take my advice and steer clear. They are only after your coin and not concerned with anything but that.

Professional movers with great attitudes – Walkers were excellent throughout the whole moving process. Timely correspondence. Friendly staff including guys on the ground. 100% would utilise again and would 100% recommend. 4 bed house with narrow doors and 4 levels and they achieved it relatively easy!

the white goods were difficult to move to the truck. Our new house was an hours drive away and after a long and tiring day it ended with all positives. Only one glitch was a tv box was left off the truck initially so the truck had to return to the depot to collect before the truck could be loaded, which delayed commencement but the staff were apologetic and soon we were back on track. Overall we were extremely satisfied with our experience and would highly recommend Walkers to anyone moving house.

reversing stairs at both ends. The removalists who carried out the work at both ends were quite extraordinary. They negotiated all difficulties with imagination and good humour and their non-stop work rate was inspirational... although tiring to watch! You can rightly be proud of the way they worked, and they did so with continuous courtesy and cheerfulness. I’m sure it will come as no surprise to learn that we had no losses, no breakages and no damage.

plasma TV. We drove up to Brisbane and it was delivered on the appointed day from the rail yard and all unpacked into the the appropriate rooms of our two-storey house and all packaging taken away. Very impressed. There were no hassles at all.

Pressure was off – We had a four bedroom house with two living areas. We moved to the country. The removalists had everything under control and the move was all on time. We would highly recommend Walkers for your move and we would definitely use Walkers again.

Stay away – Charged me for a small commercial move but treated like DIY project with huge implications from my end as they failed to remove all items out of shop into a shop. Moving Home – We were so impressed with Walkers. Juliette came to give us a quote. She was so professional, friendly and kind. We went from a three bedroom unit in Sydney to a three bedroom house in the Gold Coast. The packing crew were tidy, quick and efficient. The uplift went smoothly and everything was delivered on time. The crew unpacking were happy to put everything where we wanted it. I’d definitely recommend Walkers Moving & Storage.

pack all items. The goods were delivered all intact, nothing was broken or scratched. Ten years later I contacted Walkers again and the same staff is still there and the service is just as good. It says something if staff stay that long, it must be a good place to work. So far everything is going well and the second container will go much later than the first.

Amazing Service – Moving a 2 Bedroom house from the Central Coast to Sydney The all team was so knowledgeable, approachable, personable, endlessly patient, painless and straightforward.

helpful. Their quote was more competitive than another removalist, though we did not actively canvas with other companies.

The deposit and payment terms were clear, and I received prompt replies. The pickup was smooth, and the movers were very capable and polite, especially considering our apartment was a walk-up (second floor). We did not request them to pack anything, but the wrapping of furniture and mattresses was part of the package. The primary reason why I am not giving 5 stars is there was no inventory done during the pickup. (We were very tired from packing and forgot to ask.)

We requested them to hold our items in storage while we looked for a new rental. The removalists who delivered our items were with another company (I coordinated with them directly, after referral from Walkers). They were also capable and polite.

Overall good experience.

Overall a Disappointment – My move was a 1 bedroom apartment in which I packed it all myself, loaded it by the door and even sold multiple items after the quote. I was told, verbally, by [name removed] that the quote would be amended and costs reduced. The guys who came to do the initial remove were kind and did a good job. The guys who dropped it off, I was not present for but they didn't put things back together (which was a part of the package). So, I had to sleep on an air bed for 3 days waiting for them to send someone out.

I have to tell you, I feel bamboozled and hurt by this company. They knew that I was in a predicament in which I needed to move quickly before a long holiday and took advantage of it and I am appalled. I won't give them 1 star because there seem to be a few good seeds there, but I would NEVER use or recommend them to anyone ever.

They also did charge my credit card for the second half of payment without consulting me and actually did it knowing I was overseas and DAYS before final delivery. Dodgy, dodgy!

Excellent Service – From the first phone call for a quote to pick up and move to Victoria, Walkers office staff and the guys who came and picked up our three bed contents, were very helpful efficient, and friendly. Highly recommend Walkers.

My move was a pleasant experience – I moved from a large 50 square house to a 3 bedroom unit up 4 half flights of stairs. Access at the pick up point was excellent, however access at the unit was not so good and it was really hot and humid weather and of course the rain bucketed down towards the end of the move. I had no damages and when I wanted to buy their lunch they refused to let me and insisted on paying for their own food and drinks. Next time I move I will be requesting the same guys from Walkers do my move!

Great service and well priced – We moved with walkers twice in less than a year while we were building our new home, they were fast efficient and well priced.
