Westinghouse 492L French Door WQE4960

2 weeks ago it was with excitement that my new WQE4960BA fridge arrived. It was my first ever new fridge and it’s the most gorgeous silver colour. It was only after I had set it up and filled it up that I realised it has serious design flaws. 1) No logical place to store eggs. The flimsy egg containers do not fit into the side drawers. I’ve ended up buying a more robust stand alone egg container and thrown out the set that came with the fridge.

2) Filling up the water container is seriously hard without spillage and the little plastic jug that came with the fridge would take me over 100 top ups each time.

3) The worst of all is the ice tray container. It is flimsy and does not fit logically into the freezer compartments. The ice tray is hard to fill, harder to get the ice out and you actually have to take the whole compartment out to get ice.

The is Australia and we use ice multiple times during the day. It’s so annoying and hard that it has completely taking away from the joy of having such a beautiful looking fridge.

It baffles me that you can release a fridge with these design flaws.

I’m now having to pay extra for a stand alone ice maker to keep the family happy.
