Not Happy Chappy – We brought this fridge mid 21 and from the day it was turned on i have regretted every minute. My main concern is the noise of the fan that transfers the cold air from the freezer compartment at bottom to the main compartment of the unit. A serviceman has changed the fan under warranty thankyou, but still the same - constant air noise sound. Its… Read more
been in two homes now size wise and still the same. We were told basically to live with it. The best part of this fridge is when you open the door because this will stop the fan and brings a welcome relief. As other folks have mentioned main freezer drawer is poorly made and never slid without catching. Gave Westinghouse opportunity to respond but not interested. Never again, very disappointed, pay a reasonable price you expect better.

Cheap and nasty – I had a good look at this fridge when I was replacing my old Westinghouse. Normally the sign of a good fridge is it’s solidness, ease of opening and closing, versatility and internal quality. This fridge failed all of the above. Just open and close the bottom drawer and watch it wobble sideways! The interior plastics are super thin, the shelves… Read more
lack adjustability and the ice maker is laughable. The salesperson was lost for words and suggested F&P instead! I tested 3 fridges on display and they were all bad.
Design faults – I first raised this issue on 22/04/2022 and this was sent to the Electrolux rep via the Good Guys. I never heard from the Electrolux rep. The left-hand door magnet bangs against the right-hand door when you open and shut the left-hand door only (Happens multiple times a day to get the milk, juice and water out of the doors). I had a repair man… Read more
sent from the Good Guys come and adjust the door (still bangs). He came back and replaced the whole magnet (still bangs). The repairman and the Good Guys sales team then got in contact with the Electrolux rep and I never heard back from the rep.
Today after weeks and weeks of emails trying to get someone from Electrolux to speak to me, I finally got a phone call. I just got off the phone with Alyssa from Electrolux. To say she was unhelpful and rude would be an understatement. She talked over the top of both my wife and I on the phone and claims that it is “common sense” that in order to grab an item from the left side of the fridge you need to: - Open the left-hand door and grab the item - Then open the right-hand door - Then shut the left-hand door - Then shut the right-hand door otherwise it obviously will hit the magnet (and it is not an option to just open and shut the left-hand door by itself). I stated that the whole point of a French door fridge is to be able to open a single door to grab an item and that I have used multiple french-door fridges over the years (Samsung, LG and Fischer and Paykel) and that they have never had this problem and I was able to open the left door grab the item and then shut the left door. It should be advertised by Westinghouse that they can’t design a French door fridge that is able to open and shut a single door like all the other manufacturers can and they should educate their reps to educate the sales staff in their distributors that Westinghouse offers an inferior product in comparison to their competitors so the sales staff can advise potential customers.
I would buy from another brand that can design a fridge, follows up on emails and doesn't employ rude customer service representatives.
Awful warranty support – One important aspect of a product is warranty support, ease with which you can log a call when it is faulty. I have a faulty LHS door, and waited 1 hour 27 minutes today on the 131349 number, starting at 1:27 pm. No answer. I will not be buying Westinghouse or Electrolux products based on this experience.
Nice fridge - two design flaws – A great fridge that will to fit into our fridge space. Love the French doors whereby you can open one side only. However, the vegetable crisper goes right across the bottom so you have to open both doors to be able to get at the fruit and vegetables. Also the bottom drawer of the freezer is attached to the door, so every time you open the freezer that drawer is exposed.
Good value, but not great. Expected a little better from the brand – We previously had a Fisher and Paykel top mount fridge freezer with normal swing doors. The freezer draw on this unit is not as easy to access as the swing door. A swing door would be better than a fixed bottom draw, but the french door freezer version of this fridge has a center divider preventing you from freezing anything wide. We are a family… Read more
of 4 with two kids. Our old fridge was not big enough, this one swallows up our weekly shop with space still. The dark colour is darker than it appears online. I would call it closer to graphite rather than dark stainless. I would stick to the standard colour next time to match the dishwasher and microwave better. But is does not mark from hands. There is a slight vibration when the compressor kicks in but this is probably just a one off. I easily fixed it with a tiny piece of rubber between the steel pipes and the plastic drip tray. Sometimes the divider between the french doors does not retract fully and you have to push it in to close the door or it bangs on the closed door. I'd probably stick to Fisher and Paykel next time if I could afford it.
