asked for some trouble shooting and Westinghouse said they dont have any technicians to do that. There are better companies offering far better service. Look elsewhere.
Good fridge - short lifespan – The fridge is good when it works however it has a very short life. The fridge compartment is well laid out and the space is useable. The water and ice maker take up some room but it is not an impediment to the use of the rest of the fridge. otherwise dead space. The ice maker fills after around 1 day. There is some ice to use once it is left over night. The drawers for the freezer compartment have made the large volume very functional. Our fridge was purchased in October 2021. In late April 2024 the freezer area was not freezing well and soon after the fridge would beep and the display showed the word ‘HI’. We contacted Westinghouse who advised the fridge was out of warranty and for us to call a repair person. A local experienced repairer came and inspected the fridge and provided a short note stating that there was an issue with the compressor and evaporator and it could not be repaired but should be covered under warranty. We sent this information to Westinghouse and they sent their own repairer out (a week later). That repairer confirmed the first advice and said we should hear from Westinghouse regarding a refund or replacement. A week went by and we contacted Westinghouse, they said they had not heard from their repairer but would follow up. Another week went by and we had not heard from Westinghouse and we followed up and they said they had not heard from their repairer. We called the Westinghouse repairer and we told the materials had been sent twice to Westinghouse, but would be sent again. After making this review Westinghouse asked us to contact them (the Westinghouse motto might be ‘Call us, we won’t call you) and after a little while they decided we could buy a new fridge from them at a discount - all up about 1 month after the first contact. Taking into account the amount paid for the new fridge, fees incurred to our repairer (which should have been a warranty call, but Westinghouse said it wasn’t covered) and the food lost it seems that Westinghouse fridges have an expected lifespan of 7 or 8 years.
Poor Service – Its been 5 weeks and my fridge is still not working properly, visits by the technician and still not fixed.Its hard to get them on the phone with an average time of 45 minutes and poor customer service. Unfortunately all my kitchen appliances are Westinghouse as i have used them for the last 40 years but the service now leads are lot to be desired . Terrible after service when icemaker died at 2yrs old and no warranty – Fridge itself is fine but icemaker broke within 2yrs. Tried to get replacement on warranty but 1day out so no luck. Cost $160 ish for part and same again to install. I expect better from a $3,200 fridge and definitely better after service. Wont recommend. Show details

Terrible fridge – Ice-maker broke within a few months. 2 months out of warranty the fridge has stopped working completely. Electrolux service is terrible - they think it's fine to wait a week for a repair when the product has totally stopped working. Show details
Massive fridge with great ice and water dispencer – Beautiful looking, functional and good priced fridge. Would be better if the freezer space could be a little big bigger. Stainless steel is fingerprint proof but the handle is not. Show details

water. Massive leak from water filter housing. Contacted Westinghouse who insisted that the water filter wasn't in properly and that it was my fault. Absolute rubbish. Contacted Harvey Norman Ballarat who also contacted Westinghouse and they were told the same, my fault. HN sent someone out and they took one look and said they send a replacement fridge straight away. Great stuff HN.
So far so good with the replacement, great looking fridge, quiet and lots of fridge and freezer space.
Given Westinghouse service has received so many poor reviews over a long period, you would think they would have lifted their game by now.

continual constant noises that this westinghouse makes.
Contacted the manufacturer, who stated that the Whooshing, Whirring, Clicks, pops, crackling, water sounds and high pitched humming are all "considered to be within the normal operation of the motor for the refrigerator", and also advised me that if the technician found no fault we would be charged $145 service call fee....
I would never own another westinghouse.... grrrrrr!!!
