Must treat with care – I purchased the cook top in November 2018, it's been installed less the 18months. I noticed the cook top marks very easily even when you use a clean cloth. Recently I found the markings on the top were coming off. I rang Westinghouse customer service, the lady advised if you use any oil or other products on the cook top then the markings will come off. Only soapy water & a clean cloth. I lost it because a cook top is something that should be robust to take everyday use & to b wipe when u spill anything on it with what u have at hand. I brought Westinghouse as it is an Australian company. I'm very upset & disappointed because this was part of a kitchen renovation & now the cook top looks like the one I replaced. Lesson learnt, don't buy Westinghouse appliances.
Purchased in for $611.
Flame is yellowish and unstable on natural gas – Don't buy...low quality product; Sent video clips to Westinghouse to show yellowish, unstable flame on natural gas, Westinghouse confirmed that there is an issue, unit was then inspected and "repaired" by Westinghouse technician, however issues remaining the same. As Westinghouse was unable to fix the issue, they have since claiming that the unit now has no fault.

A nice replacement stove top – Like many homes in the suburbs of Melbourne, we had a old Simpson or Westinghouse cooktop. We just wanted something 'plug and play' - that is remove the old and put in the new one without too much trouble of cutting the benchtop, etc etc.. I believe this unit was designed to do just that - its a replacement of a standard cook top. Anyway, found the quality to be pretty good. Does all things as well as a cooktop should do and is quite stable. The cast iron trivets just allow it to feel and look heavier duty.
The only thing I found with this unit is, it takes a little time for it to light up continuously, but unless you get some top of the range premium brand, you'll always have this issue.
Good value for the price and no issues so far. Most importantly it does have the flame failure safety mechanism which stops the gas as soon as the flame is off.

After using this for 6 months
Feedback - all still good except the instructions/etchings of the knobs have rubbed off from normal cleaning. Not great considering its only been 6 months, but it works still.

Plastic knobs on a cooktop! How ridiculous – Bought my cooktop a couple of months ago. Thought I'd do the right thing and buy Australian. After only a couple of weeks the silver paint on the knobs started to come of. Was amazed to find that they were plastic. Had them replaced very promptly I must add but within a week another one has done the same thing . Can't imagine what they were thinking of to have them made out of plastic. Am very disappointed because it has spoilt the look of my lovely new kitchen. Next time I will make sure that they are made out of metal. Think I made a mistake buying Westinghouse.
