fridge for 16 years and it did not develop any problems. We don’t know if the cracks will get worse or if they affect the operating of the fridge in some way. Not happy, be careful buying this fridge.
Horrible noise – The fridge operates fine, but it emits an almost constant high pitch whining noise that is seriously annoying - about 7500hz if you want to type that into an online tone generator. Would not have bought it if I knew it was going to make this noise. Show details
Potentially expensive remediation of flimsy paintwork on handles on this fridge – We bought this quad door fridge just under 2 years ago. We chose not to have the ice maker or chilled water option because these seem to break down often and we wouldn't use them much. dark paintwork on the handles. Within a year, this was scraping off, looking quite unsightly. We are two very careful users; I can't imagine what it would be like for a family. The technician implied it was probably the rings on one of the user's hands that caused this, but my wife insists she is careful not to scrape the handle. Anyway, what is the use of a fridge targeting a family if it can't stand up to people with rings on their fingers opening the doors? The tech did say they get calls "all the time" for this issue and it has been extensively aired online by (not doubt irate) customers. I contacted Westinghouse/Electrolux some months about remediation under warranty. They said this was unlikely to be covered because the issue is "cosmetic", so I let the issue lapse. However, it is quite unsightly and looked shabby compared to the 4 Miele appliances we have in our recently renovated kitchen. We thus recently proceeded with a service request. I was again advised it was probably not covered under warranty and that the handles only came in pairs, (which is too-cute marketing), and would cost about $260 EACH, plus about $160.00 for the service call. This service was done today but miraculously the technician said it was in fact covered by the warranty. That was very nice, but inevitably it's going to happen again, after the warranty expires soon, over the hoped-for remaining 8 years or so of its life. A periodic $700 dollar service call, including parts - about a third of the cost of the fridge- doesn't seem to be a reasonable impost for anyone owning this fridge. If you're tempted to buy this model or similar, I'd strongly advise going for the plain stainless steel finish, not the ones with this flimsy paint job on the handles. This looks great in the showroom but not for much longer than that. I really think Westinghouse/Electrolux must address this issue. They should engineer a more resilient finish on the handles and retrofit these for existing customers. There is no similar issue on any of our Miele appliances so obviously it would be possible to get a more resilient finish if Westinghouse/Electrolux cared to look into it more closely.
Not happy I have to have a prop showing under the front foot – Pros: keeps the food at a good temperature, crisper drawers good size, interior lighting is good. Door shelves in fridge are good. Cons: Can't level fridge as the levelling feet only move about 2mm! concrete slab! It's dark SS so every time you touch it the mark shows. Freezer has drawers which waste a lot of room- shelves are so much better. No door shelves in freezer for small stuff The four doors are a pain but I couldn't find a side by side to fit my space.
Value for money – A practical design with the large freezer drawer located at the bottom of the refrigerator allowing easy access. Both the refrigerator and freezer offer a lot of space with a practical and user friendly internal layout. small fortune in replacment ice living out of eskies. This is NOT what we expected a month into a new fridge purchase. As a family of 10 we have been put out tremendously. Unfortunately due to this we cannot recommend this product as it doesn't even last one month.
Could Be Better Designed With A Few Items To Be Improved – Have it for 3 weeks. drawers feel flimsy & easily breakable. The only other minor criticism is the freezer compartments and drawers could be much bigger. The crisper drawers are too shallow to store a week's fruits & vegie and could not be removed without first removing the door storage shelf. On the whole my wife is happy with the new fridge as it fits into the existing tight kitchen cabinet space which could not accomodate a fridge any taller and bought it at a big sale discount with $400 e-gift cards othrewise could have chosen a Hitachi french door for much less with more features.

Total junk - don’t buy – Our old house Westinghouse side by side leaked tar and we purchased this model after being offered a compensatory offer. After a few months, the fridge has ok overall. Doors are bit light and have a strange spring loaded feel to it. When you close it the fridge shakes a bit, the freezer is tight and clunky to use whilst we find the fridge section… Read more
is spacious. Door storage is fine for small jars but we struggle with large or tall bottles - max 2 X 2l bottles per side. Ice maker is tiny and useless. Shelving is made of thin plastic and nowhere as solid as other brands. It’s a bit noisy but so far it’s cooling way better than the last faulty one. The dark silver finish is nice but chips off easily.
Update after 12 months: the fridge is now making loud intermittent fan rattle. Today the fridge has stopped cooling altogether and I have had to throw out $600 of food. A major failure.
Full credit to the customer care staff at Electrolux, as it’s my 3rd Westinghouse in 12 months, they approved a claim for food spoilage and due to the failed compressor, have organised for a new fridge with extra warranty (I’ll need it). Note they don’t respond to emails so you have to call.
Update after 6 months. The damn door flap won’t retract and has been replaced 4 times already. This is a faulty design and they know it, but can’t or won’t do anything to fix it. In fact they’d prefer you to quietly go away. Got another replacement which was just as bad.
How can a proud brand like Westinghouse sell Thai made fridges of such poor design, lack of thought and low quality??
Not Great – In less than 3 years the fan has blown and the fridge part stopped working and expensive to replace. The double freezer door does not allow for great storage. french door flap makes sense but is a pain and does not allow you to open one side of the crisper drawers if both doors aren't open. Usually a fan of Westinghouse, however this fridge has been a disappointment.
Great quality product but crisper is small – This fridge is of a great colour and is really well made. The temperature is consistent and it’s also very quiet. Visually, it looks good in my kitchen. The downside for me, is that the two crispers are relatively shallow and small. This fridge is marketed as one with a 600L capacity but in reality, it seems to hold much, much less!
Personally, I would not recommend this fridge to a family which is likely to have more storage needs than a single person. Alternatively, it would well serve a household that either does not have a lot of groceries and/or one that also has a second fridge catering to overflow needs.

hold the largest Christmas platter. Plenty of door shelves and spacious vegetable drawers, a generous wine/bottle rack and a lockable medical section to keep medicine safely away from children are just some of the features. The only feature I miss is the cheese/dairy drawer that was in the side by side fridge. The freezer has pull out vegetable drawers and an an ice cube section - it's adequate for a couple but a larger family may struggle with this size fridge if they use a lot of frozen food. The drawers are too small to hold a family sized pizza. The external doors are quality stainless steel and can be easily cleaned with a soft cloth and stainless steel cleaner. We're very happy with this fridge - it suits us perfectly.
Note to Electrolux - the tape holding everything in place was really difficult to remove - we needed Eucalyptus oil to remove some of the residue.
Terrible quality and terrible customer service – Fridge Purchased in June 2020, it was faulty and replaced by retailer within 24-48 hours. Food spoilt due to it not cooling. Westinghouse is part of Electrolux. They won't replace, it needs to be repaired. They don't service my area themselves despite being in the greater Sydney area but have an agent in the area. !0 days without a fridge and another lot of food spoilage! Agent has to attend twice to fix the fridge because they didn't have the part needed. May 2021 Fridge stops working again. Food spoilt and Electrolux still won't replace the fridge. Agent can't even look at the fridge for another 7 days!

Seems like a good fridge - but the bottom right door does not close properly? – I looked at 4 (four) of these french-door fridge freezers in two different show rooms. On all four, the bottom right freezer door scrapes on the dividing wall between the two freezer compartments, potentially preventing that door from properly closing. No issues with the other three doors. Has anybody else noticed this? Is this a fixable warranty issue? Show details

I love this fridge – After years of using hand me down fridges, we finally dropped some serious cash to buy this quad door monster. It is fantastic. We bought the draw upgrades for cans too. It is big and stores heaps. The freezers are a little small, but that has forced us to buy less frozen trash and more fresh food. I can not fault this fridge. It also fits in a standard gap.
