When was this model made what year
Tripping Safety Switch. We bought a Westinghouse, Fridge Freezer, model no. WTM2800WB seven years ago in 2013 from the Good Guys. It has been a good fridge up until now. However, it is now tripping the safety switch in the fuse box, after running continuously for only a day and a half, then it stops, turns all power off to other power circuits in the house. We are hoping this is a quick fix, anyone else had this problem at all ? What is wrong with it?
I have a Westinghouse Model WTM2800WB, can you tell me how old it is & if i was to sell what price would i get?
How to reverse the door?
Just pull the [white plugs] out with a small flat head or knife to expose screw holes on the other side. If you open the door and have a close look you'll see them. Then use a big Phillips head to undo the heavy screws and switch it to the other side. You may be able to use a hex bit or very small spanner on the bottom if that's more convenient. Good fridge.
Thanks a lot!
How to reverse the opening of the door?
I have had this model for years. I was wondering when it was made and when it was discontinued? What is the life span?
When was this model made
The button that turns light on or off when the door is opened or closed is broken I was wondering if that button also turns fan on in the fridge when the door gets closed as I have noticed that the fridge no longer makes a fan/motor noise when I close the door since the light button got damaged and I don’t think the food is as cold
Hopefully you can help.
Thank you Chrustine
The door switch is probably designed to turn the fan off when the door is open. If the fan no longer works I would ask a technician to fix it.
Hi I have a fridge that belonged to my mum WTM3300WB model. Can you tell me how old this fridge would be as mum has dementia and can't remember. Also we plugged the fridge in and it appears to get extremely hot on the right side and at the back on the right side, is this normal?
Hi. To find out how old the fridge is look at the bottom at the back there is a small plastic cylinder where the power goes in. It's some electrical component. The date is stamped on the bottom of it. Heat on the sides and back is normal. Note there is no old style black metal radiator on the back. The radiator is under the sheet metal on the sides and back. Being summer it will be hot if you have no air conditioning like me lol. Make sure the fridge gets as much ventilation as possible within reason. ie not hard against a wall.

Has anyone had problems with defrosting for too long, and food being slightly soft in the freezer?
Yes the freezer does not freeze properly so can't keep any meat, chicken, etc. in it until I get someone to service it and it is not very old! Very disappointed and wish I had not purchased it.
I have just read the review on the westinghouse fridge wtm2800wbn and would like to know if anyone else has had a better experience with it..I am not sure now whether to go ahead with the order i hve placed for one.
Thats the model I have. Had it for almost 6mths and its going well. I have it set to mid on both the fridge and freezer compartments and it keeps things just right. Noise is minimal. There are noises you have to get used to as it turns on then parts of it expand/contract as most things do when they are heated and cooled. for $600 I'm not complaining. If you want super quiet with super energy efficiency and super design expect to pay $1500.
