I hope this is right. They increased the price for no reason and lowered value of Qantas points for no reason. Show details
Wespac Greed – Spoke with multiple people over a couple of weeks to try and negotiate a reduction on yearly card fees. One time I was on hold for 44 minutes. Each time I was offered a different reason. " Qantas charge the $75 yearly fee" another person said " the $75 is a Wespac fee" " if you have had fee reductions before, we can't do it again" " if you have a… Read more
mortgage with us we can waive the fee" Bottom line is Wespac was not willing to negotiate and with multiple incorrect excuses, people should be aware of their poor customer service. PS, look out for record breaking profits this year..
Application took more than a month to process, Ridiculous! – Wanted to give Westpac a go due to their credit card offer, the online application process was poor and not user friendly, received conditional approval after few days and provided verification documents shortly after, but the application has been going for more than a month and it is still ongoing, I could have gotten a mortgage with that duration, poor service and considering cancelling my application Show details
Dishonest and deceptive advertising – I signed up for this credit card in November 2022. The offer included a bonus of 100,000 Qantas frequent flyer points providing $3000 was spent on the card within the first 3 months. Both Qantas and Westpac acknowledge I met this criteria. However, after 5 months when the frequent flyer points had not been credited to my account I began to… Read more
experience major issues. Westpac indicated that it was not their problem, it was all to do with Qantas. After numerous hours on the phone to Qantas, being disconnected several times while on hold, and then being given conflicting advice, I was informed that the 100,000 bonus points were not Qantas FF points, rather they were Altitude FF points and these points could not be transferred to Qantas.
When signing up for this card the website indicated it was a Qantas Platinum Credit Card, the Qantas logo was on the website and there was no mention of these bonus points not being Qantas. Interestingly, the website has recently been changed and this information has now been deleted. Fortunately, I have a photo of the original website with the Qantas name and logo.
I lodged a formal complaint with Qantas over 5 weeks ago but have heard nothing in reply. I have contacted Consumer Affairs Victoria who suggested I contact ASIC.
I believe Westpac and Qantas have advertised this product in a dishonest and deceptive manner. My advice to future customers: DO NOT GET THIS CARD, IT IS NOT WHAT IS ADVERTISED
Great credit card with good Qantas points promo – I have had no issues with this card and signed up during the bonus Qantas FF points promotion. However although my points did come through, it took nearly 7 months for this to happen, way past the original deadline. I had to chase up a few times hence why only 4 stars.
No Issues so far. Everything working as adverstised – Have been using this card for almost a year. Application process was easy and had no issues being approved. Card arrived within a few days from approval. Spent the minimum amount for the bonus points and receive it after 90 days in my Qantas FF account. Recently, it got replaced with a Mastercard card (previously Visa). No annual fee for the first… Read more
year, just a 50$ for selecting Qantas FF rewards. Used it overseas with no issues. Points are automatically transferred every month to my FF account. Points conversion rate is not the best but it does the job since I dont spend large amount every month. Would recommend but there are better cards in the market at the moment (higher bonus for higher spending)
An OK card – Still waiting for the 60000 Qantas bonus points. They charge $50 extra for earning Qantas points though. Reduced first year annual fee. Earning rate is lower than other cards only 0.5 point per dollar. Foreign transaction fees and exchange rates not good. Show details
60000 bonus points !! – Got 60000 bonus Qantas points after spending few thousand dollars in first few months. Pros 1) Bonus Qantas points 2) Qantas Reward points 3) Ease of managing the payments 4) Low annual fees 5) Complimentary insurance Cons 1) Foreign transaction fees and below average exchange rates. Good sign up bonus – I signed up because there was a 60,000 Qantas Frequent Flyer if you met the required spend which I did. I did that and the points were delivered to my Qantas account within two weeks. Apart from that, it's just another credit card. I do like their feature where you can make a purchase and lock in a payment plan over defined period at a reduced interest rate. Show details
Westpac Qantas Altitude Points 80,000 hasn't come through – Guys, Westpac got pathetic service when it comes to what they offer and what you receive.I am waiting for my 80,000 qantas point for the last 4 months and nothing has come through so far. I applied for card because there was an offer if you spend $5000 in first three months you will receive 80,000 qantas point, and I have spent $5000 in first two… Read more
