Worst dryer I’ve ever had – Dryer makes items smell like damp dirty socks from the get go. Despite many phone calls to whirlpool and extended warranty claims have been refused. It’s useless, do not buy Show details
Drain pump broke just after the warranty expired – The dryer broke just after 2 years of usage. The dryer started making extremely loud sound. Tried to call Whirlpool for spare part, but their spare parts phone number doesn't answer. Called another number and I was told that the person responsible will call me back, but they never did. I called appliance fixing companies but they said they can't… Read more
get parts either. Think twice before buying Whirlpool appliances in Australia. Mine broke just after 2 years, and no one can fix it. I may have to buy another dryer. Extreme waste of money and bad for environment.
Pretty good however has a few issues – This was an upgrade from a 20 year old tumble drier. Overall it’s pretty good. I do not have issues with condensation or dust any more which is fantastic! The cycle takes a lot longer however I knew about that before buying this. It has taken me awhile (have now had it 6 months) to work out it’s little quirks. I wanted to raise 2 issues in case… Read more
this helps someone - 1. This machine does not have a child lock on the door. I have solved this problem by putting a lock on my laundry door, for a machine that has to be put on the ground, in my opinion it is dangerous if you have 2 kids under 5 running around like there are here. On the day it arrived, my 5 year old mentioned drying her sister in it which totally freaked me out. 2. It is really hard to get large items like sheets and quilt covers dry. They end up rolling into a ball (I need to wash all bedding weekly for the high maintenance 5 year old due to allergies), it needs to be paused, the item shaken and then put back in. This is with 6 dryer balls in and lots of troubleshooting to work out if this can be fixed. It is great for smaller items and clothes.
I don’t know if these 2 issues are unique to this machine or apply to all heat pump driers. Overall it is pretty good value as all the other options were much more expensive and glad to have a European appliance.
Broke down after 3 years of light use. Terrible service from Arisit (whirlpool warrsnties) – We like the features of this drier and although it takes a long time to dry it does it well. Very disappointed it broke down after 3 years of light use in winters only. Called the warranty department to see if they can issue warranty based on the ACCC consumer warranty but Aristis is running away from it and blaming whirlpool which doesn’t even… Read more
have a phone number. Aristis support is terrible, the ladies there are very rude and do not want to answer what is the expected lifespan of this appliance. I would expect this drier to last at least 6 years but wonder what whirlpool thinks about it. I love when the Aristis lady said: we took over from Whirlpool in August 19 as en excuse not to answer in the ACCC. I will submit an ACCC report on Arisris and whirlpool.
Excellent dryer - very happy with this purchase – I got this dryer from Appliances Online after reading the great reviews here on productreview - and I'm happy to say it lives up to my expectations. The dryer is easy to use - the instructions are straightforward, and it dries clothes well. I'm SO happy to have a dryer that doesn't make the walls drip, and that is better for my clothes - being a heat pump dryer. I absolutely recommend this dryer. Very happy with my purchase. I'm so disappointed in this dryer! Takes 6 hours to dry! – I'm really disappointed in this dryer! It started taking forever to dry clothes under a year of having it, even with small loads. We had a technician out under warranty who said there was a faulty part, a foam filter, which has broken up and clogged the machine, he cleaned it out and ordered a new foam filter which took months to arrive. For a… Read more
short time, it worked a little better but there was still a lot of the foam stuck in the machine, and it barley works at all. The warranty period is now up and we are stuck with a $1000 dryer that doesn't dry.

Dries clothes well & quiet – This dryer is quite fast, it is also quiet (compared to the one it replaced) and it sits well on top of our front load washing machine. Haven't had a power bill since we installed it, hoping the promised savings show up. I recommend having the drain hose go into the sink as the collection tank (if used) fills up pretty quickly. Fantastic value and works really well – Works well and drys things without an issue. The only thing it doesn’t do well is chuCking something that is lightly damp (90% dried in the line) that you want to blast the last 10%, the sensors don’t pick up that things are wet. There is something oddly satisfying about emptying the water container after a cycle knowing that is goes straight down the drain rather than going all over the room as steam Show details
Very Efficient (Doesn't heat the room like other dryers so no dampness) – I brought this for my Aunt and she is very happy with the products performance, being efficient and economical is most important for her (although some settings can take a while to finish) being a pensioner also the fact that it came with a 5 year manufacturers warranty gave me confidence in the purchase. Works perfectly well – Bought this dryer a few weeks ago and so far I am very happy with this product. The price is better compared to similar models, making it good value for money. Show details
Great investment – An excellent dryer that is easy to operate. Saves a lot of energy as well. European made unit and very useful during winter and rainy days. Has used the dryer many times with mixed type clothing and happy with the performance Show details
Great product – I bought this Whirlpool 8kg Heat Pump dryer recently and it has been amazing. It replaced our old vented dryer. Drying times does take longer but in the long run it saves a lot of money. Great design and made in France. The touch function is pretty straight forward. Clothes come out soft and well dried. Just remember to empty the drain… Read more
container after each cycle and clean the filter. Fast delivery from the team at Appliances Online. A well made product from Whirlpool, good on you guys for maintaining quality. We hope this product will last for a long time. I've noticed they said 4 years warranty on the Appliances Online website, but from Whirlpool said 2 years. Not sure if you have to register for warranty to get the 4 years?
Works Well – Have had this for a couple of weeks and it is working well and as described. I have tried a couple different programs but tend to use e-cotton cycle the most for towels, clothing and socks. I have found it easy to use and to get it working I only have to push two buttons - on and start. Drying times seem reasonable with most loads completed in… Read more
about 90mins. I use the lock so my child can't turn it off when he plays with the buttons while it is running, and it can't be started while it is off. I think it looks great and appears well made (packaging said made in France). Very happy with it.

Good with problems – I've had the dryer a week and have finally got the hang of it. The instruction booklet is as clear as mud but I did get online help albeit fairly vague. The dryer is big and very pretty, well made with a solid door (glass) and tough looking hinges. The touch display did take a while to work out but once I did, things improved. The large water tray… Read more
fills after one load and needs emptying, but this is easy. There is also a hose connected which can be put into a sink for continuous draining . Laundry comes out soft and fluffy after a couple of hours.
*** Update, a year later and I've noticed a really annoying problem with this dryer, it's the condenser filter. This filter is at the bottom of the machine and it's awful, it is just a piece of thin foam that has already worn out allowing dust to enter the condenser. This is an absolute appalling design fault and the reason I have reduced the stars from 5 to 2. Because of this I no longer recommend the dryer because it's a ticking time bomb until the condenser is so full of fluff the machine will need fixing.
The machine is also hopeless at drying quilt covers, it will eventually dry my super king quilt covers on the Big Items setting, but this is after I have had to keep stopping the machine to pull apart the incredibly tight ball the cover becomes. Having a reverse drum would have solved this problem...oddly enough it can reverse, but the genius that designed the programming seemed to have had an aversion to using it...bizarre. Two big design faults on what should have been a really good machine....it's still very pretty though but looks aren't enough.
Really amazing – The only heat that comes out is from the back and is about the same as you get with a fridge or freezer, The water it removes is in a pull out tray at the top left and NO STEAM anywhere. We've only used the mixed load setting so far but it was fabulous. Everything (underwear, shirts, socks, towels, etc) except the towels came out soft and dry but… Read more
the towels were slightly damp. We just put them in again on the same setting and they came out perfect. It's really amazing just how much water is collected even though we used the maximum spin speed on the washing machine prior to using the dryer. The filter just inside the door has to be cleaned every load but it's really easy. Just lift it out, pull the sides apart, roll the lint up and put it back by reversing the process. There is another filter at the bottom left but the instructions say to leave it until notification is given on the display.
