Oak flooring at my home – I installed oak engineered floors to my home several years ago now and I can say that i could not be happier with the flooring. It has aged very well under heavy use with a 30kg dog that runs up and down it all day long with my 2 young children. There are barely any scratches that are noticeable in the surface of the flooring. I had the… Read more

Woodpecker laminate timber flooring in my apartment before that and had no issues with it at all. I have always mopped it with a very dry mop but mainly used one of the microfibre brushes to clean from day to day.

Woodpecker nsw spotted gum – Not worth the hassle, has been down 2 weeks and already timbers splitting and coming apart. Turning up at the ends. Company doesn't offer any solution and says there discontinued.

Poor quality! – I recently installed Woodpecker engineered timber flooring. No instructions included in the boxes. I looked online and they had instructions for various products of theirs but unfortunately not for product I purchased. I phoned them to see if I could get instructions and was unprepared for the verbal barrage I was about to receive. I was told… Read more

that it is the flooring shop that purchased the product from that was responsible for providing the instructions. I informed that it was her companies product, surely they were responsible for providing the specifications that they "the manufacturer" want the floor to be laid to. I was then informed I was incorrect and the instructions were on the internet. When unable to provide a url for said instructions I was informed that they would be emailed to me.

The product itself was well packed but 30% of the boards (T&G) were cupped and it caused a lot of grief in the installation causing an uneven floor surface.

Never again. Poor customer service and overall a poor product.

Be warned

Laminate Flooring by Woodpecker Flooring – I have recently replaced my old laminate floor as part of renovations with new laminate floor boards branded as Woodpecker Flooring (www.woodpeckerflooring.com.au). I have purchased them from the Focus on Flooring in Osborne Park. Bubbles and swelling started to appear on joints of laminate boards two weeks after the installation. The cause of the… Read more

bubbles was occasional water drops that would fall on the floor during normal household operation i.e. wet hands, pets, food, drinks etc. If a drop of water lands on a joint and is not wiped off withing a minute, a bubble appears. We did not really have time to do floor mopping prior to noticing the first bubbles, hence mopping is excluded as a potential cause. My old laminate floor did not have any problems and it was there for many years.

Nine months later the bubbles are everywhere growing like mushrooms. The boards have waxed joints, which I thought would protect from any moisture when I bought it, but it does not. I went back to the Focus on Flooring and they were very quick to respond and send the warranty claim to the supplier Woodpecker Flooring. The supplier has inspected the floor and bluntly advised me to disregard the unsightly bubbles and swelling, which was not good enough. The product comes with a lifetime warranty, but any warranty claims are ignored by the Woodpecker Flooring. In saying that, I do not even see how warranty would work here. Replace extremely poor quality floor with the same poor quality floor.

I personally would recommend to stay away from laminate floors by Woodpecker Flooring. There would be a number of stores around Perth that sell Woodpecker products. Be careful. Spare yourself big disappointment and costly replacement.
