If you want a company that will suppprt you in time of need when travel gets cancelled DON'T bother with Woolworth's travel insurance. Such a waste of money buying the insurance.

The policy was a waste of money. It seems Woolworths, like most insurance companies, tries to wriggle out of any policy on fine print wording. Find another insurer as i shall be going elsewhere.
Simple policy and claims process
I have used Woolworths twice and found their policies simple to buy and good value for money. I had an unexpected medical situation while I was away and the claims process was simple to complete and they honoured the claim within a week.
Don’t get this product if you think you are at all likely to make a claim
Unfortunately due to circumstances out of our control we had to amend our travel plans. Woolworths deemed this to be a delay expense and would not cover the claims we had made to recoup the costs incurred.

Finally Travel Insurance that works
This is the first time that I have used Woolworths. The past 10 years I have used World Nomads. Last year my first ever claim was rejected. I was appalled by their service and vowed never to use them again. This year my research found Woolworths. Their price was very competitive so I was a bit wary. But I took a chance. And unfortunately I had a claim, advised them by email straight away and have been very pleased with their professionalism and response to my claim. My claim was paid in full as per my policy. Finally a travel insurance company...that actually works. I definitely will keep using Woolworths Travel Insurance and totally recommend them to all fellow travellers. Also, I need to add that I am over 65 and travelling overseas for over 6 months. Woolworths never placed any of those ridiculous restrictive rules that other travel insurance companies place. Telling anyone, no matter what their age, how long they can leave Australia for personal travel is a restrictive practice that needs to be abolished.
