Wish I went with someone else – I took out travel insurance for my 2.5 month trip as the trip has cost over 100k One of my flights booked through a travel platform that i paid nearly 5k to for my flights went under. I lodged a claim through Worldcare and was declined. I went with them because of all their good reviews and how happy people were. Spending over 100k I needed an… Read more

insurance company that was good. Clearly i was very wrong to go with Worldcare Travel Insurance. It's not really worldcare when they aren't covering everything Go with someone else

Worst insurer ever – More exclusions than inclusion and if you have a genuine question you will need to wait 2.5 hrs on the phone like i did today, only to be told they cant help and to check their website, becuase the staff memeber i spoke to had no idea. Show details

A Good Deal – I travelled to Europe and the USA in April 2018 and now in August 2019 wanted to do another round the world trip. My insurer of last year wanted to increase my premium five fold. As I had made no claim previously nor had anything other than my age increased by a year I declined to proceed. World care were the best balanced alternative in value for what I needed. Show details ·  1

Claim Free – We have used World Care on many occasions for annual insurance as well as individual trips. They do not seem to be competitive any more so have not used them for future travel.  Show details

Value – Good value and very easy to set up, particularly if you get the multi-trip option. I have been using Worldcare for travel insurance for a couple of years with no concerns.  Show details ·  1

Travel peace of mind – The insurance is great value for a person who travels regularly. In particular you avoid those nasty extra rental car insurance costs. We have had annual insurance for three years and that means we don't have to worry for each individual trip.  Show details ·  1

Happy with Worldcare – This is our first year with Worldcare.. We were extremely happy with their competitive pricing and when we submitted a small claim, we received immediate settlement. Can't be much happier than that!  Show details ·  1

Satisfaction Guaranteed!! – We purchased an annual Frequent Traveller Insurance Policy to back up our Credit card Insurance which had a $200 excess. We are so glad we did. We have nothing but praise for the company, the representatives, their manner of dealing with us personally and the process of making a claim. We had to cancel our trip overseas, due to unfortunate… Read more ·  2

circumstances, but in doing so we have realised what a great company we had chosen for travel insurance! We received 100% of the total not reimbursed by the airline and travel companies with minimal angst.

Amazingly simple – We never travel without insurance, but we had never had a claim before. Yes, there was a huge increase once we passed a certain age, but as we travel regularly, the annual policy is what we wanted. Both my husband and I managed to get stubborn chest infections which required several visits to doctors for antibiotics in various cities in Europe. … Read more

There were 3 visits. On our return I rang Worldcare and they walked me through the claim, which we did on line. It was quick and simple and we had our costs reimbursed within 48 hours.

lengthy claim process – We got the 12 month multi trip policy and had to make a claim for a hospital visit in the US in June 2014. They were very pleasant and helpful at the time but the claims process is still not finalised. The kind hospital did not make us pay and instead were going to contact worldcare. This did not happen and then we started getting bills. Eight… Read more

months later we are still getting letters and phone calls (at 5am) from the hospital and collection agencies. In order to get our claim processed 8 months ago we had to fill out multiple forms and got pushed from department to department and had to explain ourselves over and over again. The company were not proactive and when I missed an email because it went to SPAM the process stalled for 2 months while I thought something was happening it appeared they had yet another form to fill out. It seemed they took a long time to decide if the claim would be covered but in the end found it impossible to wriggle out of it. Finally after 6 months they paid their US agent and to my knowledge the hospital still has not been paid. I think the process of delays is meant to make you give up or else they are extraordinarily disorganised. choice had recommended them lengthy inefficient claims process

First class service – My partner broke his collarbone when skiing in Hakuba, Japan. We phoned Worldcare straight away and they told us everything we needed to do, what paperwork we needed to bring home etc (i.e keep receipts for any medication, even if just from the Chemist in Japan). They were sensitive, sympathetic and helpful. They contacted our airline to make sure… Read more

he had a bigger seat for the flight home. When we got home our claim was able to be processed over the phone and he was reimbursed straight away (ie. the unused ski passes and ski hire - we missed the last 2 days, the medical care and medication we bought). Next time we travelled there was no fee or premium for making a claim previously. I thought there may have been! We do 2 or 3 overseas trips a year, so we now buy an annual travel insurance plan with Worldcare. It is a good deal getting the annual cover even if you have 2 holidays a year, it has paid off straight away for us.

Absolutely would use and recommend Worldcare. Reliable No faults

Beware of misleading information – We arrived Singapore 5pm on the 22/4/13 for a flight with Scoot airlines early next morning (23/4) at 2am. Our flight was cancelled & rescheduled for 2am 24/4. I contacted World care & spoke to a [name removed] who surprisingly informed me that we were not covered under the Travel Delay Expenses because it was an operational issue with the airline… Read more

& we should seek compensation from them. Scoot airline would not compensate anything at all & even scoffed at a complimentary upgrade to business, so we were forced at our own expense to pay out for two nights in a hotel plus travel & food expenses, and we were only able to afford a very cheap dingy hotel & cheap canteen food.

Upon arrival back to Australia I again rang World care & spoke once again with [name removed] only to be told she got it wrong & she had given me the wrong information. Yes, I was fully covered & would have been entitled to a decent hotel plus decent restaurant meals. How convenient for World care, & how could a competent claims officer get it so wrong with a straight forward claim enquiry? Are they instructed to do this to save on claim expenses? To conclude - don't believe everything you are told over the phone. Read & check & recheck your policy & don't be fooled like I was.
