because we wanted a custom build and a more personal experience, where we could actually choose finishes and details that make the house feel unique. We got to include special touches that just wouldn’t have been possible with a volume builder, like a fully custom kitchen, raked ceiling, timber shelving that we picked by hand, and recycled bricks we chose with Dean at the brick yard, and they make such a difference to the overall feel.
Working with Dean was honestly fantastic. Building a home can be stressful - there are so many decisions and it’s probably the biggest thing we will ever do - but we felt like we were in great hands with Dean. If something didn’t go to plan (as it inevitably does with building), Dean sorted it out quickly and without any drama. You do hear horror stories of things going wrong on home builds and so when challenges came up, we felt relieved to have someone like Dean on our side.
He somehow made the whole process enjoyable - to the point where we’d actually love to do it again one day! He was always responsive, patient, and happy to answer questions. Even though our site was a bit out of his local area, he never hesitated to attend site and personally check things off.
We absolutely love our home and couldn’t recommend Dean and Wren and Wright Homes more highly.
