I have used Wynston for 2 homes. The service on phone to Matt, quote to installation all very timely and professional.
On both occasions I have chosen roller blinds and they are excellent too many colours to choose from. Now new guaze doors can't wait.

From start to finish it was very nice and easy interacting with the person who took the measurements and quote for our house windows,(extremely sorry, I forgot to ask the person's name)
then with the blinds installation ,the person who did it, did a fabulous job , would recommend them again to anyone who wants crimsafe and blinds to be installed at their place.

disgusting service and sub par product.
We purchase a retractable fly screen for our french doors as we were promised a 3-4 weeks turn around time.
After 3 weeks had passed I called customer service and was told sorry there are delays and it will be ready by the end of the month and then an installer will call you to arrange the install date.
Once again 2 weeks passed and no email or phone call.
I called again and was told it was ready for pick up and it’s up to their installer to schedule a date once he picks it up. A few days later the installer called and booked in an install d...
Terrible quality and workmanship of plantation shutters
We are extremely disappointed with our plantation shutters. The service we have received from Wynstan has been good and they have tried to help us resolve the issues however the actual product is terrible. These shutters are manufactured overseas and the quality and workmanship is very poor. We have had the shutters for less than one year and have been covered under a warranty but we have already had to replace three separate shutters as they were flimsy and didn't close all the way. All three blinds had to be taken away, reproduced overseas an...d then reinstalled. How wasteful is that! We are now getting the Wynstan technician to come again as the shutters still don't close all the way or are really loose. We spent thousands of dollars on these shutters and given the price point, we expected superior quality. I would not recommend this company at all due to the poor workmanship of their products. If you want plantation shutters, I would suggest going with a company who makes them locally. At least you will know you have more quality assurance and the product will not go back overseas to be remade if there is an issue. We are extremely disappointed with this company and their quality assurance of their products.
Appalling Wynstan experience and outcome
We have a recent experience with Wynstan which has ended badly, after months of trying to get what we asked for and increases in cost. We have in the past had a good experience with Wynstan. We ordered Roman blinds in the bedrooms 10 years ago, and the fabric deteriorated and we needed to re-order. We needed the bedroom to have blockout blinds and ordered a pull down plain white in a block out fabric. When it was installed It did not block out the light, there was a crack between the blind and the window. When i reported this, their view was th...at “the fabric was blockout”. OK, so a mis-communication? I took that on the chin and we decided that since the previous Romans were so good at blocking out, we would get those installed in a different fabric. We had to pay another $550. The order was taken. When it was installed the length of the blind was so short that the light again came under the blind and was not blocked. We pointed out to wynstan that the blinds were too short. Response? Too bad. If we want it lengthened, another several hundred dollars, even though their finished blind was way shorter than the blind they installed ten years ago. I have walked away from Wynstan. My impression is that they no longer care about the customer. They have cut costs, and don’t listen to the customer. My advice to others is to stay away. They have become too big and are too complacent. Choose another provider and make sure that at every step you get explicit dimensions that you are happy with. Don’t trust them!
Shoddy workmanship and disconnect between Salesperson, Installer and head office. Oh, and no refunds!!
2 outdoor blinds required. Simple you’d think. Salesperson takes rudimentary measurements. Installer comes - blinds don’t fit so tries a work-around as he doesn’t have clear instructions on how the blinds should fit. One is installed back to front, with no tie-downs so it can flap in the breeze. Other cafe blind needs a piece of metal as a bracket to secure it to the verandah posts, and then not even in correct position. First time rolling up it falls off almost landing on my head while bending the dodgy mounting bracket. Installer admits he fo...rgot some bolts. I take the blind down so no one gets clobbered by it. Call Wynstan for a refund. Am told they don’t do refunds. Instead. Wynstan agrees to send out the original salesperson to fix the unfixable and not fit-for purpose blind. He comes out. Tell him we want a refund on one and fix the other. Says it’s above his pay grade. Takes that back to Wynstan who then ask original installer to remedy an unfixable issue. 2 grand for this! What a rip off. And around 6 weeks and still going of trying to get issue resolved. Would not recommend them to do any work related to anything in my house if they do not back their product. Rating: big fat Zero stars out of 5. Don’t waste your money!!!
Huge thanks to Wynstan Mosman and Frank the technician. I needed a large blockout blind for the lounge room and Wynstan delivered. A seamless experience from quote to install. 10/10
Fly screen fitting
From the very outset of the awesome customer service over the phone & the free quote & fantastic installation, I can't speak highly enough about WYNSTAN. Very friendly, professional people. The product is good quality, not to mention well priced. Will definitely use WYNSTAN again! Thanks alot
Great Looking Blinds, Poorly designed mechanism.
I purchased some really lovely cellular blinds. They look fantastic and do exactly what I wanted (ie keep morning light out from kids bedrooms). Only problem is that the mechanism is a really poor design and they don’t stay up by themselves. We have had the technician out but understand this is how they are made. Spent a lot of money on them and although they look good, they are not worth the expense.
Today our Blinds were fitted by Alberto who did a fabulous job, the Quote was done by Daniel (I think that was his name) he advised us well and we are very pleased, thank you.
Amazing service very friendly employees
From organising my measure and quote with the showroom to being provided updates from head office when my order hit a few delays. I then had an amazing installer who was very helpful. I c can't recommend Wynstan enough my products are amazing. I will be referring everyone to Wynstan and if I need anything else I will be supporting a great Australian family business

Easy to book appointment and they came to me, Angelo was fantastic and Steven who installed also did an amazing job.
staff are always friendly and helpful to get my new product and was thrilled with the services even during Covid 19 Lockdown they sent us a gift to say they have not forgotten us. can't speak highly enough...
only thing i need to add was the Grills and Doors could have been better packed to avoid rework, and scratches.
minor scratch meant a door had to be sent back, and this could have been avoided with soft foam around edges.
other than that, again i will use Wynstan again, and refer my family and friends.
I should have read reviews about Wynstan before ordering outside blinds
Sales consultants measurements were wrong by 3.4 metres.
Now there’s a large additional Cost ($ 982). Totally unreasonable.
The revised quote says shutters but should say awnings.
I’ve got no confidence in Wynstan supplying what I ordered.

Misleading and deceptive
My review on Wynstan’s poor workmanship regarding our pleated flyscreens below. In addition to these issues, I wish to warn anyone with pets, please do not buy pleated flyscreens from Wynstan. Their brochure for pleated flyscreens stated the product was “excellent for pets” which we relied on in ordering this product. The product is completely useless and our pets can walk straight out under the bottom of the screens. Despite Wynstan admitting to me on the phone after I complained to them that the product is “not pet friendly”, they are now ref...using to refund the money we have spent on these entirely useless screens. I note they have also updated their brochure to remove the “excellent for pets” wording - I don’t know why they’d do that unless they agreed that the wording was misleading and deceptive?! I also wish to note that Wynstan offered me a $200 reduction in my bill if I removed my bad review below from this site. I have reported both matters to the Department of Fair Trading. Please do not deal with this company. I have been attempting to deal with the issues we have had with the pleated flyscreens for in excess of 2 months now, I still only have 1 screen installed which we were told by the installer we cannot use anyway due to it needing to taken away for wind bracing to be installed. We have been completely duped into spending thousands on a product from Wynstan in reliance on its brochure stating it was “excellent for pets” and now Wynstan is denying the problem or that it’s brochure was misleading. I’ve attached a compare of the new and old brochures. Please steer clear of this company. I do not want anyone else to go through what we have, and be deceived into spending hard earned savings in reliance upon their brochure on product that is completely useless, and was faulty in any event from the word go.

Great service from Kensington showroom and Alberto who came to install the door was really lovely and helpful through the whole process. A few hiccups along the way but things were rectified immediately.
Questions & Answers
Regarding the pitiful examples of shutters which I have already reviewed and provided photos.!! What must one do to get a meaningful response from Wynstan Gosford or Head Office....other than asking for the order number which I provided over a month ago. I now see that I am not Robinson Crusoe in my plight.
Good luck. They contacted me too trying to look like they cared. As soon as they got my deposit they no longer cared.
Not sure if you saw my original post Lauren.....its now over 18 months since our initial install - replacements galore and all the same or worse. We had Accent shutters before our reno and have another property with Accent shutters which are perfect after over 8 years !!! Next step is Fair Trading and possibly a chargeback.
I posted my complaint (with photos) regarding shutters some weeks ago. Provided the reference number three weeks ago and chased an answer two weeks ago.....still no response from Wynstan. I see some very recent complaints and fully concur with the comments on this company. When will Wynstan see fit to get back to me. There are so many bad reviews for Wynstan... Anyone dealt with Hoppers Crossing Wynstan? How do they compare with their competitors (MSD Security and Hi-Light)? Does Wynstan have their own full time employees (fitters etc) or do they contract casuals to do the job? Thanks
Honestly, Just stay away from them. they are terrible operators. the way they treated my wife with their apparent head office customer service team is disgusting. The way they (male customer service) spoke to my wife was disgusting and left her really upset. That tells you everything you need to know about these scumb bags. Look for a family run business who actually care and know your money will be spent on helping kids go to school or pay a mortgage or anything you would do with your family.
