All sorted. I have a date for intallation now. Past experience from years ago was excellent. This time very slow but at least sorted now.
Non responsive and misleading organisation. Faulty products.
1. Paid 50% deposit - end Oct - written quote confirmed 5 weeks delivery and in before Xmas. Total order - approx $2k. Reason for quick purchase was that we took a rescue cat to help anxious child during Covid. I told Wynstan this to please get this done so our cat doesn’t get out and we have air flow in an apartment during warm months
2. No date for installation booked until I called over half a dozen times. Was told that they ‘did me a favour’ as was booked for Jan 21
3. Dec 20 - more than 8 weeks later - installer arrived - 2 roller doors,...

Astounding that this company even managed to secure a 2.5 star (very poor) rating on this site. I doubt I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with a company so completely useless at what they do. They lie about their products, and then they cannot even measure and supplied us with easily the worst fly screens that I have ever seen, there is hardly an insect in all of Australia that could not have easily fitted through the gaps on nearly every single window. They suggested a remedy: re-making the screens and fitting them in a different mann...er, but then re-made them and re-fitted them in exactly the same manner, except this time they drove self tapping screws through the window frames to try to hide the fact that the window screens are so obviously the wrong size... again. The self tappers are visible from the outside of the window and half of the screens would still allow insects to enter the house!!! Find a much easier business to run, you are beyond useless.

got the installer to just put them in anyway he could on the last day before Christmas
so we at least had some protection from insects over the break.
no one has returned, no returned phone calls
waiting for them to be remade yet again.
had to block all the gaps with chunks of wood in the mean time
Shutters arrived and are excellent
Shutters arrived after a few months....and we are now very happy with the quality and the installer Chris, who was very polite and pleasant. Due possibly to COVID we have to take into account the delay and the long wait. But the blinds are excellent, so well worth the wait.

The whole experience with WYNSTON was worth the wait ! The plantation shutters were installed professionally and perfectly! The house looks amazing ! Marty was brilliant ! His personality and work was awesome! Highly recommend! Thank you Marty ! We love our blinds !

The experience was so seamless from start to finish, quote then check measure and installation day. Peter was our amazing sales rep so helpful knowledge and guided our decision making very personalised to our home style. Marty did an incredible job super friendly professional and informative provider genuine care. We absolutely love our new shutters the quality is just amazing. Highly recommended!
DO NOT USE WYNSTAN!!!
This is the second review I’m publishing for this company in 12 months. The first review was explaining how they could not get the roller blinds made. Fast track months later and a week before Christmas they call me and say “we can’t make your blinds we’ll be issuing you a refund and you need to go else where” when I asked them what was I suppose to do now their response was “this is what you wanted”. I wanted a refund in March when I first saw that this company was unable to make blinds and they refused, I changed 3/4 different fabrics and not...hing works with them. Also the retractable fly screen door I ordered was installed faulty so that had to be returned. I’m now left with holes in my walls, ceiling and aluminium frames from them removing their products. I have asked them to patch up my walls and do a simple coat of paint over the patches which they refuse to do and simple said “if you want it painted you can go to the shops and buy the paint colour you need”. They are rude and disgusting animals!!
Installation before Christmas!
We are very pleased with Wynstan. The Sales Consultant was friendly and helpful and beat a price offered by a competitor. He gave us an estimated install date by early Jan, which was fine for us.
THEN we got a call from our installer - Marty - who was able to fit us in this week - before Christmas too, which was hugely appreciated.
He came and installed the blinds professionally and with a friendly manner. He even pointed out a potential crease in one of the blinds and advised us on the best way to have it fixed if it didn't fall out.
The blinds look super nice in our home and we are just really happy with the service received all round. Would happily reccomend Wynstan to anyone.
We have been waiting for the installation of blinds for nearly 6 months. Worst customer experience we have ever had. Wynstan are unapologetic about the lack of communcation, will not take responsibility for several failed attempts at installation and have taken a substantial amount of money upfront with no explanation of the process. Money is taken on first measurement, but nothing is ordered until the second measurement occurs. In our case there were 2 months between the first and second measurement. Whilst Covid, in part, has been a valid ex...cuse, nothing can excuse the poor quaity of communications and customer service. No need to wait for a Manager to call you, when he does, he wants to argue with you and won't listen to your complaints and just offeres more excuses. If we could get our money back we would! Buyer beware!!!

Wynstan east Gosford agree to coming for a measure and quote and don’t show up. Then when you try to reschedule they don’t respond to requests. Really hard to deal with.

Formal complaint was referred to department of fair trading. The most unprofessional service ive had to engage in.
Installation is 5 weeks overdue. The installation serviceman claims he came and left due to parking issues and didn’t even call us nor on his arrival nor on his departure. We waited the whole day not knowing what was happening due to him not responding to our phone calls.
Blinds are great: Service Not So Great
While our first installation went well unfortunately our second upgrade installation of our blinds from manual to automatic motorization was anything but. Following booking in the installation we were never made aware we would be without blinds for 1 week (not clear or communicated). Then the installer charged with the installation did not get necessary support from factory (supplied with wrong motors on first visit) or head office, nor did he come fully prepared himself ie asking me for tape in my house to fix alignment issues of blinds or hav...ing his own cords to sync motors appropriately before electrician could hard wire blinds. After many phone calls and mixed messages, and 4 return visits and over 1 month later we now have blinds that work as intended after requesting a new installer be placed on the job. Word of advice be clear that the store who is selling the product understands your exact needs and communicates what is required, and the installer is clear on what they need to have to complete installation.

We contacted wynstans through a mutual recommendation for a local installer. Purchased 1 set of roller blinds back in September. We were told it was a 3 to 6 week wait which we were comfortable with as we understood it was due to Covid.
Post covid however we never got any call backs and had to follow up each time with Wynstan even though we had already paid upfront.
Each time I called there were different reasons why the blinds hadn't arrived.
Once it did (I had to call back to confirm this mind you) we were told it would be allocated to ...a installer that day. Expect a phone call soon. I proceeded to ask the rough time frames for the call to organise installation, we were told a few days at most. 2 weeks on still nothing so once again I called back today to check on it for around the 5th time. Today I was told it was dispatched once again to another installer in the area the property was in, coincendentally just today (the day I had to ring once again)
Questions & Answers
Regarding the pitiful examples of shutters which I have already reviewed and provided photos.!! What must one do to get a meaningful response from Wynstan Gosford or Head Office....other than asking for the order number which I provided over a month ago. I now see that I am not Robinson Crusoe in my plight.
Good luck. They contacted me too trying to look like they cared. As soon as they got my deposit they no longer cared.
Not sure if you saw my original post Lauren.....its now over 18 months since our initial install - replacements galore and all the same or worse. We had Accent shutters before our reno and have another property with Accent shutters which are perfect after over 8 years !!! Next step is Fair Trading and possibly a chargeback.
I posted my complaint (with photos) regarding shutters some weeks ago. Provided the reference number three weeks ago and chased an answer two weeks ago.....still no response from Wynstan. I see some very recent complaints and fully concur with the comments on this company. When will Wynstan see fit to get back to me. There are so many bad reviews for Wynstan... Anyone dealt with Hoppers Crossing Wynstan? How do they compare with their competitors (MSD Security and Hi-Light)? Does Wynstan have their own full time employees (fitters etc) or do they contract casuals to do the job? Thanks
Honestly, Just stay away from them. they are terrible operators. the way they treated my wife with their apparent head office customer service team is disgusting. The way they (male customer service) spoke to my wife was disgusting and left her really upset. That tells you everything you need to know about these scumb bags. Look for a family run business who actually care and know your money will be spent on helping kids go to school or pay a mortgage or anything you would do with your family.
All r same ... Bad Service and take too long to respond.
They employ contracrters and the animals in head office were extremely rude to the point of swearing at my wife as well. I have lodged a complaint with fair trading
