disc in L4/ L5 I was after a mattress that provided support in the right areas. We settled on the Copper Gel Mattress due to the support it offered us as well as the cooling functions, as we are in a warmer area in the North NSW. After a few more months of procrastination and crappy sleep on our current mattress we pulled the trigger and ordered online at the beginning of February. It was delivered well within the delivery timeframe, which was great. The only issue I had was as there was no tracking I didn't know exactly when it was arriving until I received a phone call late one arvo that the delivery truck would be arriving in 40 mins. Other than that, the delivery went extremely smooth. We have had it for over 3 weeks now and I have noticed a great improvement to my sleep and the support it offers to my back and hips in comparison to my previous mattress. My only other complaint is finding colourful sheets - but that is with any super king!

frame. But I also previously resolved my shoulder bursitis by getting a memory foam mattress topper for my medium firmness mattress, so knew I needed something soft enough for a side sleeper. I’d decided I needed a Plush mattress, but the research I did on my shortlist all had bad reviews of sagging over the years etc. It’s a big risk when you’re stuck with it if it’s not right! I’d looked at the Yinahla, online, but live in NSW, so nowhere near the display stores in Melbourne. I ended up phoning and asking if they could do a video call for me to see someone sit and maybe lay on it. Instead the girl sent me videos of pushing her hand into it, so I was able to gauge the resistance. Given their return policy and warranty, I took a leap of faith and decided on the Copper Gel, as it was their softest, but not claiming to be a plush. I hoped it would be in between a medium and plush. It was a bit tricky organising delivery because being a Regional area they couldn’t give a definite delivery date and time, but with a bit of liaising it all worked out in the end. I’m now 2 months in and absolutely love it. My neck pain has significantly improved (other triggers cause it to flare up, not the mattress), I don’t wake up with pins and needles or numbness anymore and my shoulder is pain free. I’m about to live in short term accommodation while I relocate and am not very happy about not being able to take it with me yet! But I’ll be getting it delivered ASAP because I honestly can’t live without it and the quality seems to be as they claim, it hasn’t sagged or lost shape and feels like I’ll have it for years to come. And as I hoped, I’d say it is somewhere between a medium and plush, because it’s not as soft as a plush, but definitely not as firm as a medium. I can’t say what it would be like sharing with someone, but books and pens don’t move around when I do if that’s any indication. Highly recommend!

So comfortable and supportive, I'm sleeping like a baby – My new Yinahla mattress has been AMAZING. It's very supportive for my spine alignment but also very soft and comfortable for my shoulders and hips. As a side sleeper, I was starting to get really sore shoulders and tossing and turning all night on my old mattress. Never slept better! – This mattress is super comfy - it has a 'plush' top but is firm and very supportive underneath. Previously had back issues and within a week or so these have disappeared. The copper gel really does seem to help with temperature regulation - never to hot and never too cold. Sleep has improved beyond expectations. Doubled my nightly sleep – After a decade of sleep troubles with neck and back pain I went looking for solutions, what I found was Yinahla, specifically the Yinahla Copper Gel Mattress range. the next decade. I eventually found Yinahla with it's 20 year warranty, Australian made credentials and enough solid reviews to give us some confidence in digging a little further. What we found was a product that is solidly made with top notch materials, engineered & designed to offer both comfort and support over a prolonged period and offering a warranty and return policy that is second to none in Australia which tends to suggest a company's confidence in their product. We bought a king size for $4,619 which was way more than I had budgeted for but after a decade of back problems and my average sleep dropping down to around 3 - 3.5 hours per night the extra seemed worth it if it provided what we hoped. After four months I can give some positive feedback, my back pain upon wake-up is gone and I now sleep 6-7 hours per night on average which has made such a difference to daily life I can't begin to explain the magnitude, suffice to say it's massive and worth every penny extra on the budget.

Feel - the Yinahla Copper Gel Mattress is supposedly the softest of the range but compared to every other mattress I have ever slept on it's still a solid medium - firm mattress. I guess the point here is that it is a firm mattress with regards to support but it's not hard to sleep on, the initial layers of foam gradually take the bodys load without developing pressure points and then the coil system below dampens any further movement and provides the support.

Comfort and support , it's not a fluffy cloud that feels wonderful but then gives you back ache & it's not a plank either, it just works, comfortable enough that you look forward to rolling into bed and feeling supported.

Movement - well there is none, if your partner rolls around a lot and it disturbes your sleep then these are a great option, in four months I don't think I've once felt any movement from my partner, it's like your own little cone of stability in that sense, very still and serene.

Warmth, We are down in Tassie and were worried about the copper Gel aspect of the range wicking too much heat away from us, but in reality what we have found is that the mattress breathes well and is really good at regulating body temperature.

Break in period, after a month it was comfortable but still needed some time, after 2 months I can fairly say that it felt like the bed was made for us and after 4 months it just feels like home. The break in period wasn't bad at all, still very comfortable but after 4 months there is a definite improvement in that comfort and that change has fully stabilized.

Durability - time will tell if we get 20 years out of this mattress, but after seeing how this mattress reacts to movement, the sheer heft of the mattress (it's heavy), the materials used and the mindset behind the design and engineering I would not at all be surprised at all if we get a wonderful decade of quality sleep and depending on how those premium foams go, perhaps the full 20. I'll be 70 by then and need something electric to eject me out of bed.

Recommendations: -Get a good quality base to match the mattress to get the best out of the mattress and help extend its life - we used the Braga Base with Drawers from chiropedic.net.au -Get a good quality breathable mattress protector to match with this mattress, We bought the Sheet Society Quilted Cotton breathable protector and it fits beautifully. -Rotate the Mattress regularly, it takes a little longer to break in this way but it helps extend the life by averaging the support requirements of you and your partner. We have rotated weekly to date. - Try and sleep in the middle occasionally to help balance the sag & dip on either side of the middle. In conclusion The bed is comfortable and supportive. It has improved the quality of my sleep and had a positive impact on my back and neck pain. I believe this mattress is very durable and will be long lived. Value, it is absolutely worth the quite hefty price tag. Expensive but great value.

Cost-wise, it was more expensive than similar products on the market, but again I am banking on that Warranty equaling a longer life-time. Comfort-wise it does quite well. We have purchased the Copper-Gel mattress. It was not a “wow!” factor of a change from what we previously had, but it is quite comfortable and we are sleeping very well.

So good it’s hard to leave! – This mattress is definitely quite soft so good for those side sleepers with hip issues. Despite the softness, you still feel the support underneath provided by the base.
