An Amazing Product, ZIP – The Zip Hydrotap is a must for home. After having this in our kitchen for the last 2 years, I wouldn't go back. The water is just different our of a ZIP, let alone with sparkling and the hot, I havent boiled a jug for the last two years, way to go! Show details

boil up a kettle or take up room in the fridge with a big jug just to get cold water is bliss. And to think it's always available 24/7 is amazing. Getting water to boil in a saucepan is so much quicker taking the boiling water from the system speeds up the time you start cooking by at least 70%. Having a lock system in the boiling water component makes it child safe which is reassuring for any parent. Don't want it using electricity whilst your sleeping or on holiday?, No problem you can put it on sleep or set the timer to have if for however long you need. Could their be any cons?. No but consideration does need to be given to how much room you have available under the sink to fit the system in of course this depends on the model you choose. You also need to consider if your fitting into a a marble bench top you'll need to check can your supplier do this or will you need a outside contractor to do this before installation. The cost of the system can appear excessive however this is primarily due to it is a item that is not driven by consumer demand which leads to accepting it may appear to just be an expensive tap. If you can afford it thought also needs to given how often do you drink chilled or sparkling water if not much a smaller single use system would be better for you. Soo do I need one. Think of it this way you always need boiling water, you like chilled and sparkling water so if you haven't explored the Zip Hydro water system before then you definitely should do it now.

What Customer Service – 1 ordered 1 x filter on the 8/4/21 online. As 3 weeks had passed and no filter had been delivered I phoned zip customer service to check it was on its way. Zip checked my order number (which I received from zip via e-mail) saying that order number does not exist. record of!!! Customer service then asked if I could e-mail their accounts department and they might be able to figure out what is going on. I have done this and am awaiting a reply that probably won't come and I'll have too start all over again. I believed it would have been the job of customer service to contact the accounts dept to figure out what was going on and the advise me. If this can not be remedied shortly I will have to have the money reversed from the bank and by my filters elsewhere.

The company is a joke.

I will never purchase direct through zip again and will be recommending the same to others. Tried to purchased in April for $255.00.

Very good but sometimes unreliable – We actually love the system but it has a tendency to be unreliable at times. It was installed by your people. I phoned the office and explained the situation, the lady said she would contact the manager, but as yet we haven't heard anything. The unit is still working though.

the most used item in our kitchen – it gets used ALL the time! Only once had to call for service - it required a new solenoid. Had it three years now. Tells you when to replace filter. Great to use boiling water for quickly rinsing knives etc that are used frequently. Show details ·  1

Great solution to our apartment hot water issues – We were experience long delays receiving hot water to our kitchen. A serious waste of water and a constant frustration. Zip tap has been an excellent solution. Instant hot water is great and saves water. Chilled water is also a useful feature. Good looking tap well installed by zip technician. A little temperamental but otherwise good investment – Bought the tap more than 3 years ago and I had an issue with the sparkling functionality back in September. After waiting a week for the Zip tech to fix the fault, it was back up and running in no time. can't live without it. It was a big investment, cost more than my dishwasher and fridge combined when I renovated my kitchen but we can't live without it. There's a yearly cost for Zip to check the tap and change the filters but it's only once a year (well, technically 1.5 years to make my money and the tap stretch out a bit) and Zip were quick to respond to my online service booking requests, even though the tech was a week's wait. Water has never tasted so good, I drink more because it's there. At work we have a different tap, not Zip, but after experiencing those issues, I didn't hesitate to choose Zip for my home.

Should have got this sooner! – Yes it’s on the expensive side but MAN is this an awesome product! Boiling water and chilled water instantly! No more boiling kettles when guests are over and refilling the jug... so much quicker and looks amazing and neat on the kitchen bench! Water is chilled also which is great!  Show details

Hopeless customer service – Large cold/boiling unit for office 130 people not working - called customer service and I have to chase them to make sure the job is booked in and oh - takes 2 days to get anyone. BTW the unit is still under warranty - so not old. Find this level of service unacceptable.  Show details

ZIP B160 F – This is my 2nd Zip tap.And it leaks again for a second time. It was only 6 years old. The last one leaked 3 times in a 5 year period too. Ring the 1800 number is so time consuming as it leaves you hanging for more than 5 minutes or so. It is so convenient but so unreliable . The price of a unit is not cheap either. Great tap – Excellent decision on installing an instant hot water tap. Saves lots of time. Holds a huge 2.5lt of boiling water. Safety 2-button design is excellent for when there's kids in the house. Filters last approx 12 months and we use this tap numerous times a day. Definitely worth the initial outlay.  Show details ·  1

Disappointed – I have had exactly the same problem. Zip Came to fix it and the smell was only slightly better. Zip guy said he couldn't do anything else. We didn't use for a couple of weeks and yes it's back again and the plastic smell is very strong. Also the machine it's self gives off a very chemical smell.  Show details

Taste in water – The miniboil still tastes of plastic or maybe silicon. I have had numerous service calls and nobody knows how to fix this problem, even saying there is nothing more they can do. We cannot use this water for anyone to drink.

It is a total waste of money
