BUYER BEWARE, in the fine print is this: We will not reimburse if: d) your claim arises from cancellations, delays, diversions, rescheduling, or shortening to your scheduled or connecting transport unless it is due to a strike, riot, hijack, civil protest or unrest, weather, natural disaster, or physical accident affecting your mode of transport. e) your claim arises from the mechanical breakdown, operational, engineering or crewing requirements of any means of transport.”

So Hard to make a Claim and Get Paid – If you are looking for an insurer who actually insures you do not use this company. They make the claim process extremely diffficult adn enlongated, then use as many loop holes as they can to not pay you. As you want it to be with travel insurance – This was the second time we had insured with Zoom as they had a very competitive price if you were including an ocean cruise in your vacation. We had cause to make a claim on this last trip for medical expenses incurred in Japan before we took our cruise to the USA. On return they handled our claim promptly and efficiently and paid our claim in full within 14 days less the excess. We will insure with them for our next trip. Show details · 1

Contacting Zoom is impossible – I had to cancel a policy during co-vid and a credit was issued-good so far-then tried to use the credit but to uptake the credit a sales adviser has to ring you to enable you to use the credit. Bad news as difficult it is to contact them which is impossible unless you ring the USA-no one rings you back or contacts you. I have emailed them 7 times. Excellent Public Relations – Took out a 1 year FT ZOOM Policy for all of 2020, International travel was banned from Australia 18th March 2020. Contacted ZOOM 2 days ago and Zoom gave us a $498 pro-rata Credit Voucher for portion of unused policy, very happy outcome, more than what Princess Cruises did for us! Highly recommend ZOOM. Poor customer service – Whilst holidaying in NZ in January, I sustained a serious injury. I was impressed with the service I received whilst OS. Since returning the service I have received has been subpar. I have sent them my medical certificate to receive my income supplement payment. It has now been 6 weeks and numerous emails. Can’t get a refund – Tried to get a refund, instead was given a voucher which I can’t use due to illness. Travel Insurance – We were unable to utilise the Zoom travel insurance because of the Covid-19 pandemic. As with most travel insurances, pandemics are not covered. Zoom was therefore not obliged to refund the money.
