polite coz their is no reply option for the consumer to let you the public no how horrible they are. Please listen carefully to this line from Zoom Travel insurance. “Unfortuntately mechanical and operational delays and cancellations from airlines are common and not something covered by travel insurance” ok very good I think so why has this taken 15 emails and hours of chasing up documents to be told 50 days later. You make out like I’m an idiot for not knowing the insurance I signed up for and you may well be rite. You would have thought they knew their product and told me on the date I enquired about the insurance stating we had a mechanical issue and an engineer was flown from a city to a country town to fix it. Well I’m so angry u messed me about for 50 days and then denied the insurance. I may not know ur product( I do know, and it’s garbage) but either do you!!! Listen for the most pathetic reply. We had a medical event during our trip, the support and care that we received was exemplary and they provided clear guidance on next steps prior to our next flight. When we returned home our claim was processed professionally and with clarity on documentation requirements. Zoom travel insurance is a Scam and not a travel insurance. First they will ask for all sorts of documents, like proof of residency, and even when I provided a water bill with my residential address in Australia they rejected it. worst, when you make a luggage/personal items damage claim they would ask you for an invoice for each item you are claiming and then apply a depreciation rate they find “appropriate” for those items. And what is “appropriate” for them is to get your repayment to 0. So on my $205 claim they calculated my repayment of $1.2 only.

Avoid Zoom travel insurance like a plague and find your self a proper insurer that actually covers you whilst you are travelling.

I wish I read all other comments before I bought travel insurance from this scammers.

Bethan was responsive, clear and respectful and kept me updated. As my claim had several parts, and one bill came later, she kept track of it and paid once evidence was submitted. Really appreciate her attention and response to my claim. Show details ·  1

I am from Adelaide aged 64 & 71 travelled to NZ, I shopped around prior & Zoom were the best value, very easy set-up, not knowing I would need to make a claim which was a fast resolution, 1st time user, 100% + I genuinely highly recommend, would not think of going elsewhere Show details ·  1

Luckily I didn’t have to make a claim. I liked how Zoom kept in touch the whole time I was away and I took the option of adding a day to my policy which was very simple, inexpensive, and gave me peace of mind incase of delays. Show details ·  1

anything to do with stolen luggage, let alone lost luggage. All I can say is if you choose these guys you better hope you don’t lose and get anything stolen from you because you’re on your own. This company is mastermind and going round and round with you and finding loopholes and anyway to be fools. It’s all about money for them

back. I'm home now, so I assume my last few days were not covered. Luckily, nothing happened with my flights home; otherwise, I don't think I'd be covered. Very unhappy with their access and customer service.

Very clever of you to put the wording about claims arising from acts of war or war-like events. What's not clever is that you sent me an email with a greeting: "We hope you had a fabulous, incident free holiday" after I contacted you about my problem with war related lack of transport back home. Good value insurance, and very easy to set up. We didn’t lodge a claim but other people on our trip did due to medical overseas and they were amazing to deal with, I had recommended zoom to all other travellers on our trip and they have been amazing. Show details ·  1

Communications were poor. Emails were not being read. Documents and info was given as requested, only to be asked for again. Just auto reponses like a stoopid AI agent. the claimant just give up, it's not worth it. I have a claim, I have legitimate receipts and scripts from a legit service provider and pharmacy. You don't need my actual diagnosis. That's patient/doctor privilege. None of your business. All for a payout of under $200.

The staff were very helpful and so quick to respond. This is the first time I have used ZOOM, and I intend to use them again for my next holiday in October. Great value and am really happy with my claim . Show details ·  1

I am waiting on a claim for this holiday, but so far my experience with Zoom is positive. Depending on how my claim goes, I will be using this company for our extended UK trip later in the year. Hopefully that holiday will go to plan. Show details ·  2

We were rebooked on another flight, but to make that flight, we paid about 500 USD for Uber and taxi since that flight departed and arrived at different airports than we originally planned. with our claim, because in their T&C, they have a section which says "We will not reimburse if: d) your claim arises from cancellations, delays, diversions, rescheduling, or shortening to your scheduled or connecting transport unless it is due to a strike, riot, hijack, civil protest or unrest, weather, natural disaster, or physical accident affecting your mode of transport.”...I found it ridiculous because the additional cost arising from flight cancellation is one of the main reasons we usually buy travel insurance. At least, we got a $50 voucher from the airline, but most probably we won't be able to redeem it because we don't live in that country, and they only operate in that region.
