They were quick and easy to communicate with after my accident. I think the claim may have been ended up being a bit complex because the hospital I went to wasn't used to foreigners with travel insurance, but Zoom travel insurance was very helpful throughout the process. I was due to travel home yesterday but have had to extend my stay for 3 days. I asked via online chat if the policy be extended by three days to continue cover. Despite the policy expoiring yesterday when I was due to Travel, Sally was able to extend my cover with a link to make the additional payment. Saved me a lot of time starting over with a new policy. Beware !!! Time and money wasted on this lot – My one star review is too generous ! I purchased overseas travel insurance for my daughter and she was hospitalised on the stop over in Dallas. complaint with AFCA as I am getting no where with zoom , I think by them stalling and asking for more documents every time I give them what they want they think I will give up. Please choose wisely as they are not the easy , simple , piece of mind insurance company as they claim

Was as Stated in PDS – I was on a bus trip in USA July/August and was hospitalised unexpectedly. My claim was paid in full by Zoom with no issues. Very happy. I did not have to pay anything upfront to the hospital. Show details

Unbelievable. Avoid – I have been taking out travel insurance for 13 years and not one issue or claim. complete the details and pay...as I was logging off a pop-up arrived saying I could only purchase the policy within Australia...they had my ISP server tell them I was overseas already. The system didn't pick it up until the payment went through-odd.

I have sent numerous emails to CANCEL and refund my $300 ( that's all I'm asking for) so I could purchase another policy elsewhere.

I received an email saying they were busy aka snowed under and would get back to me.

I am now uninsured and do not have the money to reinsure at a higher rate.

Should I require any medical assistance I have told them I have paid and they accepted the policy regardless and that I would be claiming on the said policy until it is cancelled and refunded-no mention of cooling off period.

What a disappointment after 13 years. I find it appalling they'll take the money in 5 seconds and forget you.

Scary to even think what a nightmare a claim would bring.
