ZU Temper Heeled Leather Boots from Betts – ZU tempered patent leather boot $252.98 Bought from the iconic/ Betts for my daughters wedding, sized 1/2 size up. Clearly stated leather. Very strong plastic smell. Worn 2 hours only and was in Terrible pain throughout. Have never suffered from any pain from shoes, other than cheap ones years ago. Sharp Inside of shoes, sharp around top of… Read more

boot. Very painful within an hour of wearing. Had socks on and when I took them off my feet were damaged, bruised and cut in places.

I am so disappointed In the quality of boots. I have had another ZU boot leather was fine little an issue with the sole but nothing major!

Crappy Crappy shoes – I bought a pair and they chewed up my feet in an hour and started to disintegrate. And that's just within one hour of normal wear (walking down the street). Avoid these shoes at all costs.

Awful quality – Wore Platform boots twice!! Platform sole coming away from bottom of the boot on both shoes. Pleather peeling around heel and platform. Twice!!!!!! I cant believe it. Very annoyed and extremely upset. Waste of money

Maseur Sandal – Maseur sandals bought two months ago and already nobs where big toe hits have broken off, don't make them like they used too. Took them back to seller too bad so sad said must have misused them but missing nobs could have only been broken off by feet so poorly made.

Once you purchased! Don't expect for any customer service!! – I have purchased a pair of shoes in the brisbane City Queen street mall store on19th Feb. what a huge disappointment! Worn the brand new shoes walking to super market and back home, with 2 broken blisters on feet! But the middle part of the shoes is extremely wide and keep making a Pu Pu Pu Pu noise when I'm walking. How embarrassing? Brought… Read more

these troubles to store today, the seller said sorry we can't do ANYTHING for you since these shoes been worn! Said I can wear bandaid next time to cover my blisters and can't do ANYTHING for that strange sound. Excuse me these shoes cost me $120, so thats what I got after purchasing and worn them only once!!!?? BUT if I don't wear them how could I know the quality is so bad? I'm not even ask for refund just simply change them! The staff recommended me to put some bad comments on your website and she said there MIGHT be someone contact me later. But they can't even let me change for another style. Now you know it's a 100% no response once the goods have been sold and out of the store. Whatever happened to the customers is not THEIR THING at all. No care, no sorry. I had the worst shopping experience ever in my life, and thanks ZU! Never ever come back!!

Waited 4 weeks for scratched shoes in the wrong colour! – 4 weeks ago I ordered 3 pairs of bridesmaid shoes they didn't have the right colour so she ordered them in. First week I called to see if they were in, not in and the response I got when I asked when was 'I dont know' next week I called - same response, third week I called, same response, fourth week - pretty irritable by this stage - I get 'sorry… Read more

we are waiting on a pair to come from Northland'. Finally they have arrived from God knows where and I go to pick them up - not only are they the wrong colour, they are scratched and just in general looked well worn. After 30mins of the obviously colour blind worker I just got my money back... Thanks ZU Southland for wasting 4 weeks! Greatly appreciated!

No Quality Assurance Checks – Bought a pair of men's shoes and they had a number of problems with them: Scratch on the front of the shoe; The heel of the shoes looks like the shoe has been worn with dirt marks and imprints; Scratch marks on the edge of the soul; Dirt marks/liquid spill on the tongue under the laces; The laces don’t fit and are a different size to the left shoe.

Looks so good and then falls apart – The thing is with shoes, when I pay under $50 for a pair of shoes I know full well they are not top quality and if they don't last I'm okay with that but when I pay $120 for a pair of boots it's extremely disappointing for them to fall apart after only a fortnight of use. Anything over $100 should not be holding a thick heel to a sole with poor… Read more

TERRIBLE quality – I bought $100 short heeled shoes for work when I was in one hell of a rush! No time for diddle daddle. I expected quality. I couldn't even last a day. It was like walking on the balls of my feet on concrete, and I'm one hell of a stiletto fanatic! They look pretty but it's not worth it if you are uncomfortable after 10m. The sole is very poor on many terrains. Overpriced junk. Craftsmanship is terrible. Do not buy. Try Infamous.

Do Not Buy From Zu Or The Betts Group Online- Worst Customer Service Ever – I bought my shoe online approximately 1 month ago now. The order went through/money debited from account. However, still no shoes have arrived yet! Only an email advising they do not have them in their warehouse and will have to dispatch from a store which will take extra 2-5 days. Its been wayyy past the 2-5 days. I called to enquire but kept… Read more

being told that I need to speak to so and so , who are the right person to talk to. When finally I spoke to [name removed] (the right person) she advised that she also needed to consult another person, who was not in the office at the time to find out whats happening to my order but she will get back to me "last week"- Since then no phone calls, no explanation- NOTHING! I try to call again today since its been pass the deadline she gave me- but [name removed] was not in the office and I was advised that she will call me back!....I will wait until early afternoon and see what comes from it!

I am pretty sure if I bought a pair of shoes online from overseas I would have already received and worn the shoes by now- Plus I would have been a happy customer! Retailers wonder why Australians are buying overseas- well that does explain- WHY!

Customer Service at its worst!

fantastic customer service – The customer service at the chadstone store was outstanding. I was created and the staff were helpful in finding the perfect shoe to match my formal dress. When they did not have my size they went to every effort to locate a shoe and brought it in from another store. great all round!

Great quality great style – I have about 9 boxes of zu shoes and I can assure the quality is fine to me! I've spent between $30-$120 on each pair and I love every single one. I have 2 Isabella pairs which for some reason hurts at the backing of the heels but nonetheless, pain is beauty and it looks hot! My critique would be that sizes are not consistent between different… Read more

styles. I also bought Ingrid and it was about 1/2 size bigger than normal.

I do agree the customer service requires heavy improvement, staff there think they are more important than customers. Especially at highpoint shopping centre and chapel st store.

Reality check, customers like us are paying for your wages! In the competitive environment as this, I'm surprised Zu haven't fallen into liquidation with service provided as that! Shoes and style! Great design, perfect high heels Customer service, party feet required

Bad customer service – Was looking to buy some shoes to suit a dress, it's a small store and only had 2 other people in there at the time (who I think were together anyway). No one greeted me. I asked to try on some shoes and the salesman took his time, chatting to his colleague for a few minutes before bothering to get the shoes for me. He pretty much dumped them at my… Read more

feet and pranced off to continue his conversation.

Shoes did not look like very good quality... I could see flaws in them while they were on the shelves. All of the heels are extremely high... There doesn't seem to be much variation.

Told salesman I'd decided not to buy the shoes. He scoffed and walked off.

Bad service, bad product.

Horrible Service, Horrible Product – I have purchased several pairs of shoes here in the past, all of which have fallen apart within 3 months. My latest experience with Zu has lost myself and my partner as customers. My partner purchased a pair of shoes for $160 at the Zu Chatswood Westfield store. Within the first 2 hours of wearing the shoes, the back of the shoe came undone… Read more

and the zipper fell off.

Upon returning to the store the very next day, we were greeted by the salesman. He approached us very enthusiastically, until he found out that we were here for a refund and his mood changed instantly.

He advised us that he could exchange them for another pair, though as my partner barely got 2 hours out of the previous pair she was not interested. When we asked for a refund, he refused. We advised that because the product was faulty, they are legally required to refund the product. His response "actually we aren't, I used to work in the telecommunications industry so I know all about this". What?

After a lot of arguing and threats to call fair trading, he finally refunded the shoes.

Poor quality shoes, high price tags (for what you get), rude salesman, lies.

Quality could be better – Zu have a nice range of shoes but I haven't been overly impressed with their quality. I recently bought 2 pairs of shoes and after a few wears the leather started to peel. I paid about $150 each so I would expect better for that price. Good range of on-trend shoes quality of leather

Shoes fell apart after 8 months, DO NOT BUY ZU SHOES – Not good at all the quality of the shoes is very bad, I would not recommend any one buy them. Disappointed – I came across a pair of knee-high high-heeled boots at a ZU store, I looked everything but couldn't find the product label, as I wanted to find out if they were genuine leather. They had a little leathery smell but I couldn't be sure. So I asked a store assistant and she said yes, genuine leather. Then I bought the boots. Soon after I bought them… Read more

I found out they are only synthethic material, but it was too late to return or exchange. The boots didn't last either.

I suppose the only thing ZU does best is to teach their store people to lie about their products...in general their shoes are over-priced and not very good in quality. If you want stylish, comfortable shoes, Tony Bianco, Diana Ferrari and DF Supersoft are way, way better than ZU!

OK – I have been noticing ZU shoes recently and they seem to be really comfortable, and not so expensive. They have their own stores, but are found in other stores like Myer too. The styles are a bit limited and some styles look more comfortable than other styles. They can be expensive, but you can find them on sale towards the end of the season, as… Read more

with most fashion items. These shoes generally look good and there are pretty good choices for work and for evening wear. The strappy ones look really pretty and elegant to wear. Sometimes, there is very limited choice, so I dont buy these too often or search for them when I want to buy some shoes.

Good – Zu shoes offer the latest 'it' styles for shoes which suit younger people who change their style with each season. A smaller portion of their stock is the more classic or simple styles which will not date. It is these styles that I tend to buy and have found them to be very comfortable and hard-wearing.
