Been a with this company for many years where it's changed names a few times now. Definitely feel disadvantaged and have felt the discrimination of my insurance rejected because my weight and height. Get this, I'm 176cm and 71kg 33 years old male Healthy as even showing a 6 pack. That's a super healthy weight, yet I must be to fat to get insurance I say very poor outcome to reject person insurance
My husband who is legally blind contacted Care Super needing help with his pin number. Shelly customer service agent was most helpful friendly and patient with my husband spending 20 minutes going over all the details. Shelly also pointed out the features on your app for people who are vision impaired. We have found this resource very helpful. Congratulations Care Super the app very useful tool
No one gets back to you. Despite several complaints and emails, I only get a response to one question I ask out of 4 on the same email. Staff have ignored my requests for a call back. Are there any other super companies out there that only allow you to send your money to them by cheque and only with the super fund name on the cheque accompanied by a paper form? So compared to my Aware super fund that is $7.55 for registered post,… Read more
$12.50 for a bank cheque, the delay for post to Tasmania and the money going to them not my account. Money is straight out of your bank account once the check drawn. Don't forget if you want to put that all into the one income stream, that will be another form. 2 to 3;weeks of lost interest plus the cost. What a primative joke. If any aspect of a form is corrected and signed at the correction, they will refuse to process it. Even a will can have initialled alterations. Company procedures are a joke. Our bank was close to refusing to write the check and strongly advised we did not pay them in this way as it should have been written to our account not them. No choice.
Follow-up · Only got worse. Staff are either incompetent or poorly trained in addition to the companies inefficient processes.

Retirement financial advice was invaluable! – My husband and I are nearing retirement and took advantage of the free Financial Advisor session on offer. We had a Zoom appointment with Nick for over an hour and found him very informative and helpful. He explained how we could make the most of our super to ensure we had a comfortable income in our retirement, and also how to minimise any costs.… Read more
We proceeded to the next step of him preparing a personalised plan, money well spent! It was a step by step document which clearly outlined each step of the process to follow. My husband is with a different Super fund but CARE took care of all his documentation and liaising with his fund. Communication was clear and Nick or one of his offsiders were always available to answer any queries we had. I now feel confident that our financial future is secure and we know exactly how much we have to live off to enjoy our retirement. For anyone close to retiring, I would highly recommend taking advantage of the free service on offer.
No bad experiences - ever – I've been a member for the past 5 years. They were incredibly helpful and friendly when I signed up, explained things to me in simple to understand terms to help me know what I was getting with my super and haven't ever had a problem since. Just today I had to call to get some information about changing to a new employer and get some of my… Read more · 1
questions answered and the service I received was great. I was only waiting for 2 min or less. The lady I spoke with, took my details and then even went to the ATO website to find the form that I was trying to fill in and helped me each step of the way. I call that going above and beyond normal "read-from-a-script" help!
I know that my issue isn't as complex as maybe some other people or as involved, but I think it's important to state the positive as well as the negative when/where possible. For me, CareSuper is the right choice and I hope I always get the level of service and kindness that I received today.

Awful and further proof insurance companies are vultures. Same scenario as many other 1 star reviews. Sister passed away and they will not release HER funds. Resubmit paperwork blah blah blah. The worst customer service I have ever experienced. You send in completed forms and receive an email back saying they have received the documentation and then they do absolutely nothing. They dont implement what you request, they dont get back to you, nothing. What is wrong with CareSuper? Why do management, staff and the Directors get paid?

Otherwise my next call will be to APRA.

DIO new platform is so bad. I hate it with a passion. I cannot put in any sell order that is like more than 5% away from current price or even more than one order for same stock at one time. The platform we had before was better, even with higher brokerage, I am not impressed, not being able to put in a trade order until nearly at the same as current price is causing me a lot of grief.

No regard for employers – The brains behind Caresuper thought it would be a good idea not to accept payments from employers on the last week of the quarterly payment deadline. a phone call to CareSuper not to say waited 35 mins before I got a operator. Gave her all the necessary details. Not to find out they didnt receive my email with documents so I resent all folders while I had her on the phone funny enough so got them and was told it would take 5 days to process and money transfer into my bank account. 7 working days had passed and nothing so on the phone again waiting like usual. The next operator advised me that it’s in the final stages of being released so any day now my transaction will be in my account. Not to say another 5 working days have passed nothing in my bank account. So on the phone again with more waiting time for the next operator finally got thru. Gave her all the details again and was told that my transaction release would be at the end of the week maybe or monday coming I told her this is all ridiculous and unwarranted. She had mentioned this is out of her hands for me to send a complaint thru email which I did still no response after 5 days and still waiting for my super release. So do yourself a favour if you are looking for a super company read all the negative feedback review they give you the real facts I will be surly moving on to another company. NOT HAPPY JAN

Caresuper non compliant anymore – I've been a loyal CareSuper member for 25 years, but recent changes have been incredibly disappointing. Good luck with this mob. grrrr – Unbelieveably Bad Website/Experience. It's 2024, and Care Super's website is like it's 2004. Slow, poor UI and no consistency between OS and mobile app. Windows won't resize, hard to read, terrible layout and totally useless sense of UI intuition. Come on guys. a website takes 5 minutes to re-skin. Think about the intuitive nature of the site and FIX IT. Site looks like something out of the Nigerian dark web.

If I could rate less than one star, I would – Where does one start? I was with them for 5 years until last May. A few years ago I had a divorce settlement rollover that wasn't coming through. To sort it out I spent hours on calls over several months to CareSuper's offshore call centre repeatedly explaining my story only to be told there was nothing happening. finally tried contacting me, I received their email amongst a plethora of their promotional junk emails while on a month long trip overseas. I'd archived it. When eventually a human from their Australian office emailed me, I was berated rather than receive any apology. I had to circumvent them in the end to get the money.
Early last year I emailed a small enquiry and heard nothing back for ages. I followed it up with an email saying that if I didn't hear back within 14 days, I'd close my account and go elsewhere. Which, more than 14 days later, I did. Even got a standard ‘Why did you leave’ email!
Unfortunately, I've just discovered that my employers accountants have mistakenly continued paying CareSuper. The accountants tell me that usually, if a super account has been closed, a payment will bounce back to them. It seems that CareSuper is the only fund that takes the money and reopens an account, which has happened here. They will have been charging fees, I'm yet to discover if they've signed me up for insurance as well. My worst nightmare! I have to deal with this hopeless bunch to try and get my super back, and it isn’t going to be as simple as a search and rollover function. From my experience and others here, I expect a lot of brain damage trying to extract my money back.
I urge anyone who has experienced issues with CareSuper to lodge a complaint with the relevant regulatory bodies, then take your super elsewhere.
