There is not enough warning of this. There is nothing on the blind itself to let you know of how easily it slips out. You think that the motor will be attached to the blind, but it isn't. It is attached to the inner tube and the inner tube slides straight out.

Not tilting a blind when you are trying to hang it is very difficult. If, like me, you hired a tradie to install it, they won't watch the "How to Install a blind" videos - because they're professionals and know what they're doing. I have watched the videos and can see the warnings but I don't think these warnings are anywhere near enough given the absolute certainty of the blind sliding out and breaking on a hard floor if it is tilted. I think there should be a piece of sticky tape or something which has to be removed from the end of the blind with a red warning sign that it will slip out if tilted.

I have bought many blinds and curtains from Iseekblinds and think the company is excellent. They make Aussie blinds - excellent quality and for a reasonable price - way cheaper than getting it done by someone else. This is my only complaint - the lack of warning on the mechanical blind. Don't do what I did- make sure the installers know DO NOT TILT - or you'll be paying another $220 and your blinds will be unusable. I wished I'd just gone with the classic chain.

But then I used them. So while buying a replacement motor I've decided to motorise all the chain ones I have in the bedroom because having motorised blinds is so good. They go up and down silently and you can set them to a timer. You can set them to a desired height. They're really, really cool and feel so luxurious.

JUST BE CAREFUL they don't slide out and break when you're installing them. A small little error and it's all over red rover.

measure the windows, and a step by step how to for actually fitting the blinds. Online written info and videos give clear guidance. Firstly, we ordered free samples of the fabrics & colours we thought might work for us. They arrived with other helpful written information and charts for measuring. The area we were wanting roller blinds for is a large undercover, outdoor entertaining area. Approx 12mx10m. Open plan with a kitchen, long bar under 2 windows, eating area, TV….. One side of the room has 6m wide full length windows/sliding doors that open onto the outdoor pool area. [Yes, the sliding doors area fitted with special pool safety ‘water closures’. ]

After receiving the blind samples we then decided on fabric type & colour. However, we were still really unsure as to how to tackle the measuring for the window coverings. So we phoned iSeekblinds with our concerns and Michael from iSeek blinds made a mutually suitable time to do a FaceTime call with us. Absolutely terrific! Thank you Michael. Together we all ‘walked through’ our large undercover enclosed outdoor entertaining area. Micheal kindly spent significant time suggesting what type of roller blinds, and carefully explaining how we should measure to gain the window coverage we required. Result is fantastic. The fabric we chose is not block out but rather keeps out majority of the radiant heat. We can get very hot weather here. In winter the same blinds will keep warmth inside the area. Great thing is we can still see the outside views and the pool too, all without glare & heat transfer. Better still are the blinds being motorised! Michael was correct on that too! Remote with rechargeable batteries; have not had to recharge since ‘we installed the blinds ourselves’ 3 months ago & we operate the blinds everyday. One controller operates the 5 blinds! (Bought a spare controller to be safe). We did the Blind installation and setting up of the controller specific for each blind. Really, it was not overly difficult. Just make sure you follow the written instructions and we found watching the video super helpful (Videos available free online from iSeekblinds) If you are still unsure then you can phone contact iSeekblinds and their genuinely helpful staff will provide guidance. That’s our experience! Such a pleasure to now sit in our outdoor entertaining area. Lots of positive comments about the blinds from visitors!

Outstanding customer service – We installed our blinds from this company over 10 years ago, we have loved them and have no issues. Recently we broke one of the springs, I promptly contacted the company to ask what we can do to fix the blinds. Ordered and paid for shutters 31/8. Email received confirming order then nothing. Followed them up 30/9 and eventually got told the shutters were ‘out at sea’. Another email send 21/11, no response. Three months later, no updates and no shutters. Customer service is 0/10 Show details

Not as easy as should be – Ordered sheer curtains 3690mm x 2390mm and arrived slightly before estimated delivery which was great, online ordering was easy and a phone call easily clarified any concerns. had 9 which meant did not hang correctly. Contacted I Seek Blinds who asked for photos and descriptions by email which then replied spacing is correct. Unfortunatley not, I then removed all hooks (yes bloody lots) respaced them all at 11 spaces each and now hang beautifully...

Shutters – I went the path of the hang strip shutters after looking at the website and seeing that this was the most commonly used method and the simplest to install. sheet. I contacted HO and was advised that they had changed the install method and we’re busy trying to update the information. Bit of a cart before the horse thing. HO tried to explain over the phone how it goes together but very difficult to work that out over a short phone call. Needless to say the install didn’t go quite to plan so I was a little disappointed with the end result. On a plus Customer Service responded very quickly and were keen to help, the product is of a good quality and I’m sure that if all the information was available the experience would have been better.

duty bubble wrap. I found them very easy to put together and was sent YouTube info to peruse so there were no surprises. There are 2 adjustments that can be made on each blind to get them just right. The elevation of the shutter and spacers for the hinge make for a perfect fit. I was 4 hinge pins short and the after sales team sent them express and they arrived the next day. I recommend this product, easy DIY install.
