Useless and not fit for purpose as it takes too long to dry – We also need to buy a new dryer as this one does not dry (even after 2 and a half hours). We love the one at our beach house by Bosch instead. Much cheaper and much more efficient and quicker. Show details

EXCELLENT: high IQ technology for the canny consumer – ♡♡♡♡ 》》》It is important to set the water-hardness (Calcium Ca) setting first to get the sensors to optimize the drying processes. This is a SMART dryer but you need to set this ONE local option. For me it's been great for the last 13 years and fault free. Also parts are still available if needed. For those who actually read the 'Programming'… Read more

section of the manual you will see that if the standard option's don't satisfy then change them to what you want. I bumped up my 'Minimal-Iron' setting to Extra-Dry to get crisp dry sheets. Also if you select 'Memory-On', the dryer will remember your last settings on any option, so it will repeat the next time you use it without having to reset anything.

This is an outstanding dryer that will dry your clothes, sheets and bedding to very very dry, if you want that (programmable). It also has reverse drum rotate to stop clothes balling up. It has a standard Hot-Air only option so as to act like a conventional heater dryer if you want that.

Just read the manual before you use this machine! This dryer uses a small reverse cycle airconditioner to recycle heat in the machine to dry the clothes. It takes longer but saves 80% electricity compared to a normal heat vented dryer.

It does everything the manual says it does and even better.

Make sure you surge protect it, regularly clean the lint filters and always empty the reservoir after each use.

It is notably the best on the market unless you are of the lower IQ persuasion.

Slow to dry and clothes often feel slightly damp – Dryer is slow to generate heat initially and clothes often come out still feeling damp even after several hours. The auto dry always seems to stop just before things are properly dry no matter what setting you select. Then due to its slow heat issues, using the 10 minute dry cycle is useless. If you are looking for something to quickly dry… Read more

clothes look elsewhere. On the positive side filters are easy to clean, the lint collector at the front is well designed. If only it could actually get hot in a reasonable amount of time. Hopefully newer models are better.

Super expensive compared to a normal tumble dryer... worth every penny – We purchased this dryer 6 months ago because yet again we were let down by cheaper standard dryers. When I say cheaper, I mean an $800 item which lasted 2 years before it started playing up and was fixed under warranty only to die 2 years later outside of warranty. I have to admit I was adamant we would not be spending a large amount on… Read more

another one as they seem to die in a few years anyway. After speaking to a friend who had one and finding out that a) they are far more energy efficient b) don't create condensation when in use, just heat, we were sold.

Something that also swayed us to what I originally thought/assumed was over priced European branding, was talking to other people who have been using Miele products for over a decade. As in, one single Miele dryer and washer for that entire time and their daughter then inherited them and is still using them now while they upgraded to the newer model.

One thing to take into account when getting one, which I originally did, was making sure you have the room for it.

These dryers are extremely heavy in comparison to the standard dryers and cannot be wall hung. We have it stacked on top of our old washing machine which we plan on replacing with a new Miele one soon.

Dryer could dry better, phone service could be a lot better and more pleasant – I love the efficiency and quietness of this dryer, but normal cycles don't get the clothes dry enough> you have to go through the selections to get to Extra Dry each time. The dryer is new, but we have the previous model heat pump dryer at another house.(T7950 WP) It dries better. More disappointing was the poor service in getting an extension… Read more

hose and non return valve kit from Miele. First, they just don't answer the phone! i rang 5 times and waited 10 minutes or more each time and ended up hanging up. Got through after a 4 min wait early one morning. It didn't sound like a busy call room, with sounds of someone else walking around in the background. I suspect they have a bad culture at Miele...customers interrupt their day perhaps. Email to confirm the order was promised but never arrived, very expensive at $150 for very simple hose, spigot and NRT. Person on phone was supercilious in his approach to my complaint. I did not like dealing with Miele, though their products are very good (We own 8 Miele products).

My first dryer... it's very good! But will it stand the test of time? – Bought this along with the WKB130 as a package. Have been using it for just over a month. Expensive compared to other brands, especially for a more base-level model without many features (not that we would use them too much anyway I think), but we wanted something that would last and was great quality. Hopefully this does the job long-term. It's… Read more

7-star energy efficient apparently, but I haven't really seen our first electricity bill yet so the jury is still out on that one. The programs are enough, and it's quiet enough for a dryer. Again, this is my first dryer so I can't comment too much on many aspects, however, it's quiet compared to what I've heard in the past using other's dryers overseas.

Clothes come out dry, and there's options if you want it extra dry, or a little bit more damp.

The dryer just requires a power point, and no other connections. You'll have to empty the water container pretty much every time you use it (very easy), and clean the filters every time as well (easy enough, takes about a minute with a handheld vacuum cleaner).

It's been great so far, but the bigger test will be how it lasts in the next 5, 10, 15 years...

Love our heat pump dryer! – No more wet laundry walls and floor! We love our Miele heat pump dryer. We use mostly in winter when the weather makes line drying impossible. Love it's efficiency, detecting when clothing is dry and stopping, as well as the different options available for delicates, denim and the option for an additional 20 mins of warm air. It's very cost efficient to run and gentle on clothing too. One of the filters is fiddly to clean but no other complaints. Show details ·  1

love this heat pump dryer – We have changed our dryer fro ma vented model to this heat pump one just about two years ago. It made a huge difference in quality of clothing and no more heat/moisture escaping the dryer. We live in an apartment and can't use the washing line, I put silks, wool, husbands shirt in the dryer. It has a variety of modes so you can use pretty much for anything as long as you follow the instructions.  Show details

Expensive dryer that does not dry – I have a Miele washing machine which is ok, but not great for the expensive price. However, this dryer is even worse. I can’t have my clothes dry, never. The cycle takes forever and when it’s finished the clothes are still damp, not to say very wet, and smelling very bad. I am very disappointing with this brand. I will never buy anything from Miele again. Very pricey. Show details

I’ve had it!!! – I cannot dry sheets and doona covers without them being tumbled into a tight ball within a few minutes. This happens whether I am trying to dry one or many sheets. Typically I have to untangle and reload sheets 5-6 times before getting them dry. Sick to death of it. Very disappointed as have had a Miele dryer in our other house that dries faultlessly after 20 years of regular use. Not happy Miele!!!

A lemon? – My Miele TKB 350 WP was installed in September 2017 by the developer of my building, a two-unit apartment building. It remained unused until occupancy in early December 2017. By February 2019, it had developed a fault (036). Five technician visits and eight months without a dryer later, the final technician tried a computer reset. In spite of… Read more

engaging Miele-approved technicians all along, Miele were very unhelpful about expediting a solid repair. Following the computer reset and for the next five months, the dryer worked but it has developed the same fault again today. I have been a Miele customer for many years now but honestly, now I do not know what to do. I am examining my options. I cannot have a repair person in my unit because of Covid-19 (I am in the most-at-risk category with an existing condition. I am isolated from everyone.) Is there someone on this site who can solve this problem for me? Is there a way I can get a result on my own?

Not worth the money!! – Had mine 3 years and its started beeping and just wont go. Youd think when you pay over $2000 for a single appliance that you would get more than 3 years out of it. Very disappointing – We purchased this dryer 3mths ago and it has been nothing but short of disappointing. Yes, sometimes it’s brilliant, but it’s sporadic and flimsy build quality. We have rang Miele to ask for assistance and they have sent a tech out who essentially said...not their problem. The secondary filter located at the bottom of the dryer sensor must… Read more

be faulty as it often stops the cycle asking for the filter to be cleaned. This happens at least every second cycle.

The filter door has flimsy little clips / hinges that have broken. This is because the door opens randomly or maybe it’s because it should only be used a few times a year, but we have to clean every second cycle on a good day.

Apart from a range of other niggles, the fun part is that the beeper after a cycle cannot be turned off or shortened. So forget leaving the dryer on at night as it beeps loudly for over an hour.

Keep away from this model.

Another great Miele product – Excellent clothes dryer, just set and forget, everything comes out prefect, dries towels nice and soft. Miele Conserves Energy – I put off buying a dryer for years because I am a bit of a greenie. Disappointed – I currently own 4 Miele washing machines and 3 Miele Dryers (at different properties) - the most recent purchase was the TKB 350 WP Dryer - I purchased this model mainly to dry sheets and towels. Excellent dryer, expensive but worth it – Never owned a dryer before but this one is fantastic. Has reverse tumbling, doesnt leave any condensation on the walls, lots of programs including just warm air. 24 hour delay and reasonably quiet but not silent. High expectations. Disappointing experience – The dryer takes a long time to get through a cycle and 105 minutes of 'extra dry ' setting later finishes its "extra dry' cycle with very damp clothes. too wet to put on the bed!!!! Spoke to the Miele service department who could not help me, then spoke to their sales department..... who after an hour of getting moved from one person to another decided to send someone out on a service call next week. So frustrating!! The bottom line from talking to Meile was that their dryers "do not remove all the water from clothes and that there will be a small residual amount left" .....and i told them that the sheets were damp and could not be considered 'slight residual'........... Wet sheets are wet sheets!!!!! unacceptable level, They claim they dont 'bake' clothes like other dryers, I accept that....but no one wants WET sheets and that in the end , people want dryers to actually dry clothes. I would never recommend this product!!!
