I'm a big fan of the Modibodi underwear. My skin in really sensitive so other period products have always been a bit of a gamble, my Modis make no problems at all. I own different styles and they all fit really well. They don't shrink over time and I have had some of mine for close to three years now. I gained weight so i decided to size up for my… Read more
latest order and am as happy as ever. I also own two pairs of beachwear. They are lifesavers - not for the heaviest of flows (I change the bottom on heavy days), but really great. The only downside is the return policy which I still don’t quite understand. Which is a real shame...
Have been using Modi Body for awhile now for bladder issues and wouldn’t use any other products. They wash up well and are so comfortable to wear. Totally recommend them for everyday wear they feel like normal underwear with the safety features! Show details

This review will be for Modibodys "Mid Rise Basic Brief" and their "Seamfree bikini Brief" period undies. I bought both pair at coles. THE PROS: - The "Mid Rise Briefs" are a well made good quality comfortable pair of undies. Elastics are snug but not too tight that they cut in. - The undies do not roll down under a little belly poouch. -… Read more
The "Mid Rise Briefs" are cotton moreso than synthetic. (Gusset exempt) SUPER soft and comfy without being see through thin like other brands.
- They absorb quickly even in a gush situation, leave no smells and are basically 90% full coverage leakproof. - see the cons for the 10% issue.
- Easy to buy and located in most places.
- Most of the pairs are made with more natural fibres eg wool and organic cotton. And are advertised as being non toxic and PFA'S free. This probably doesn't mean much to most women, however after having done research on what is inside disposeable pads and most reusables, I'm grateful that these do not contain harsh body altering chemicals like endocrine disruptors or "forever chemicals" aka PFAS for eg.
- The aftercare is super helpful. I wanted to buy more of the mid rise briefs after accidently buying the seamfree pair from Coles thinking they would be the same as my originals. They aren't. The support person named "Ana" was super helpful in helping me work out what style my original undies are and where to get them again. She even replied to me at 9pm! I was shocked!
- Black = stain proof for the most part which is always helpful with period products.
- They don't shink in a warm wash (before I use them) and wash and wear really well after several uses/months worth of wear.
CONS
- They do run slightly small. Its best to size up by 1 size for sure unless you like super tight undies.
- The "Seam Free Bikini Brief" are VERY brief! The front part sits SUPER LOW and is not a true bikini brief style at all. I've never seen a bikini brief that barely covers ones pubic hair area because its that low rise. There is NO WAY these undies are 100% leak proof when they barely cover your muff or your bum. For this reason I definitely will not be wearing them on actual period days.
- Unless they're on sale these undies are FAR too expensive. Period products are not luxury items. Nobody can afford $40 a pair of undies in this economy and there is nothing special about these undies that sets them in the luxury product category.
- The prints on their website a borderline ugly and the only option for a lot of the pairs is black. Black is good at hiding blood but also makes it incredibly difficult to see how full the undies are when in use! They could really use a better designer, the colours in the printed ones aren't very feminine (Unless you want the super skimpy designs which most of us don't on our period) but yet the teenagers get the options of super bright and happy colours! Its not fair that those whom want full coverage on their period are only given the option of black OR that by adding 1cm of lace across the top somehow demands another $10+ on the price?!
-Their website makes it quite difficult to decipher the differences between their styles both in terms of 'ingredients' and the fit. You really have to have 2 tabs open in the browser and compare the nitty gritty to understand how each pair is different. It took me an hour to help my friend find the pairs she wanted and another hour to try to work out what style I had bought and liked v's the other styles available.
- There should be more difference between the packaging of what STYLE you're buying ahead of buying in places like Coles. Maybe an image of the CUT of the pants might be helpful on the box, as the picture that is on there is very clearly showing a full brief bum on the undies,- regardless of what style is inside the box! I thought I was buying the Mid Rise Brief again because of the image on the box but what I got is more like a wide G-string! So I accidently bought a seam free pair which feels synthetic, slimy and gross to the touch and is exceptionally skimpy in the bum area- so skimpy I definitely would never wear these on a period day. But now I can't return them because to open the boxes you have to rip them. (Perhaps this is by design?) Whatever the reason, the boxes need redesigning so that you can see what style bum coverage AND what fabric you're buying and can return them if they're not suitable for you.
- Most of their "pretty" range is seriously skimpy in the bum area. What ever happened to having FULL wide bum coverage but yet not being too high rise across the hips or up to your bra in height (ie granny undies)? The mid rise ones are the perfect cut for this, I just WISH they came in prettier designs and with some lace or polkadots or flowers or something dainty and feminine.
- The absorpbent layers on both pairs are pretty low. It barely covers ones pubic hair area/ muff at times and if you are a 'gusher' and also a front bleeder like me, it can be touch and go at times. I'd like to see the padding go at least an inch higher on the front to cover such instances. For this reason I'd say they're about 90% leakproof. It seems like the makers are prioritizing back bleeding with the length and location of the padding.
Great customer service. Modibodi period underwear has different feature- merino gusset to stop odors. I like different styles I bought but sometimes its hard to tell from pictures how high is underwear (better check with customer service). For example it's a difference between seemless and seemfree (see picture of cheeky bikini). I was pleased… Read more · 1
to see hi cut sensual bikini upgraded at the front/ back for better absorbency (see picture - raisin colour is new pair)
So far so good on these… the quality is by far better than what we can get in the US even compared to our top clean & organic brands. A good variety of cuts so I was able to find what I needed both for myself and my teen. I’ll be back for more. I love the organic cotton with merino gusset for the teen line… a must in my opinion for still growing… Read more · 1
girls. The only thing I’d improve on is to do a similar women’s line. The fabrics are soft and more technical than other period underwear I’ve tried so despite less thick padding the absorbing power is still there. I love the French cut and the sleep shorts and look forward to trying the swimmers. I have a long hip and long torso so these were the best cuts for me.
Fantastic product. They look just like a normal bikini bottom. My granddaughter absolutely loves them! Can’t believe it’s taken all these years to have invented them! Life changing for a many girls and ladies Can be worm for LBL as well. Show details · 2

Follow-up · This product maintains its shape during laundering & is very comfortable. I recommend this product.
Using this company for years, ani have ordered 2 swimsuits over 12 days ago and still waiting on them. And why I am giving this negative review is the response is terrible from them, no communication, I have to message them the whole time. Show details

Very disappointed in the product and the after purchase care. I bought 2 pairs men’s incontinence briefs, but after trying them on I discovered the leg elastic is so loose there is absolutely no way they could be leakproof! Then I received no… Read more
support and was told I am unable to return them because I opened the bag and tried them on (they will only refund the second, unopened pair). They don’t stand by their product at all. I was very much hoping these would be wonderful and if the leg elastic was improved I believe it would be a great product but as it is it certainly isn’t. As I said, VERY DISAPPOINTED.
Follow-up · We did end up receiving a refund for the one we had opened and offered a refund if we returned the second pair. Very happy with the final outcome. Hopefully they’ll look into the large leg issue, I do not have thin legs, never had this issue with any other underwear ever.

I love them. Sizing is small you need to go up a size. I did as do that, I am impressed have washed very well and they are doing the job they were purchased for. I did buy 2 pairs that I thought were my size but came as much smaller size, they will be gifted Show details
Modibodi thong 5 pack - Smileyworld collab. Super comfortable and perfect for workouts. I wear these for Pilates, and they stay put the entire time. The merino gusset is great for moisture control and really helps prevent sweat, odour, and irritation in humid conditions. The G-string is slightly thicker than regular flimsy ones, which makes it… Read more
feel secure and comfortable without digging in. They’re also really flattering under Pilates tights smoothing everything out without awkward bulges. Highly recommend giving them a go. My only wish is that they came in a black or skin-tone multipack because I’d happily wear these every day.

I’m honestly so happy with these period undies and wish I’d bought them sooner. They’ve been a total game changer. Compared to changing pads or tampons every few hours, they’re way lower maintenance and just make life easier. I’m usually pretty squeamish when it comes to blood (yes, I know… grow up ), so I was a little hesitant at first. But… Read more
there’s no smell at all, and I barely notice anything during the day. The only time I really see anything is when I rinse them out in water before hanging them to dry until my next wash cycle.
I’ve already recommended them to my friends and family because they’ve genuinely made that time of the month so much easier. If you’ve been thinking about trying them or they keep popping up on your feed, they’re definitely worth it.
Negative reviews
Product was good and as described but the customer service is very poor and the delivery times not accurate or as stated on their website. The products I ordered took just under 3 weeks to be delivered in metro Australia and the best modibodi could offer when approached was for me to post the items back to them for a refund. Very disappointing- next time I’ll purchase continence products from another provider. Show details

Be warned: the company states on their website that they offer returns, but they don't actually offer refunds, only exchange or store credit. I ordered a pair of the sleep shorts. When I tried them on - over underwear - the waist band was ridiculously high (which is a feat, I have a long torso and usually find most pants styles barely hang off my… Read more
hips); the fit was overall far too large, even though I carefully consulted the size chart before I ordered; and the gusset didn't come up high enough at the front, despite it seeming to reach all the way to the waistband seam in product photos (I'm a 'front bleeder'; finding period underwear where the gusset comes up high enough to prevent leaks is a seemingly impossible task). When I tried to use the automated returns portal, it directed me to exchange for a different size in the same product. I don't want a smaller size in a pair of shorts that I know will leak the first time I stand up on my heaviest day. There's no reason not to be able offer a refund, since I'm able to return the item unworn. I did use the returns portal to obtain a store credit, though I'm not sure yet what I'll use it on, since I don't know which products will have the same too short gusset issue. Disappointing that I have to save up again to buy what I really need from somewhere else, which now won't arrive in time for my next period.

Love them! I purchased the full brief period undies for myself and my daughter. Ive found other similar undies on the market ive brought before are bulky and uncomfortable. NOT THESE! The price of pads ongoing is extremely hard financially.... This one pair I saved up to buy for myself is going to help eliviate that cost a little. The material is so damn comfortable to wear and the Paisley red print is cute! I'm up for a hysterectomy soon, so have brought a size up to help in recovery. Thank you for the quick delivery also!
My last order was in 2020 and I use Modibodi every single day. Not just for periods, all the time. I can confidently say they are quality and have lasted sooo long. 6 years later just doing a top up order because some had slight rips in the side. Again, I wear them constantly. I never wear any other brand. My favourites are the sensual high waisted ones. Show details

The Modi full brief, light protection, are extremely good, I am 69 this year with multiple surgeries on my stomach area. Because of this I do have a tendency to leak a little. fabric which has a really soft feel and it is really well made. Overall, I would definitely recommend and will buy again.
ModiBodi are so much more comfortable than my previous period undies. I now feel clean and dry all day and there is no smell. The super undies feel so secure for overnight as there is no risk of leaks from lying down due to the higher front and back panels. Thanks ModiBodi for a great product. I have purchased many times from Modibodi and I love the shape and fit of the Modibodi Basic Mid-Rise Brief Moderate undies. The pad section goes up just a little bit higher in the front which gives me full coverage/security. I have tried 2-3 other brands and even other types of undies under the Modibodi brand, and the Modibodi Basic mid-rise are my absolute favourite. Highly recommend. Show details · 1
Love, love, love my Modibodi undies. I'm a 60 year old woman and I bought my first pair to help with bladder leakage during gym workouts and when running long distances. I bought the Puma x Modibodi seamfree active hi-leg cheeky and wasn't disappointed. The fit has good coverage, the fabric is soft and best of all they are not visible under my tights and skins. Highly recommend! I've put in a second order. Show details · 1
