I recently moved within Melbourne, and Move My Stuff did an excellent job. The team was punctual, friendly, and took great care of my furniture. Among all the Melbourne removalists I’ve come across, they offered the best balance of price and professionalism. I’ll definitely use their service again!

Worst experience ever. Damaged my new house and sent photos which they disputed saying the event im saying occurred couldnt have caused that damaged. The old bloke was careless and his side kick was telling him to be careful and he agreed that the damaged was caused by the old man being in a rush. They in essence called me a liar. They offered me two movie tickets for damaged (slap in the face) for damage that would cost over 500 to fix.

Worst Delivery Experience I’ve Ever Had I have had three separate bad experiences with this delivery company, and I will never use a business again if they rely on this Delivery company . Today I received a call from a staff member named [Name Removed] at 1pm on a Friday demanding that I stay home all day the next day, because they are unable to… Read more

provide a delivery window. I was told that if I wasn’t home — even though they refused to give a timeframe — my delivery fee would be forfeited. This is completely unreasonable and feels like harassment and blackmailing rather than customer service.

I have already lodged a formal complaint with Koala, and this will be the last time I order from them. Koala has lost a customer purely because they choose to use a delivery provider that operates like this.

For comparison, I have ordered large and expensive items from King Living, Future Classics, and even a huge swim spa from Just Spas, all of which were delivered smoothly, professionally and without stress. Yet this company cannot manage to deliver a few picture frames without turning it into a nightmare.

If reliable delivery matters to you, avoid any business that uses this delivery service.

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. I wanted to save myself the stress and effort of doing a move myself, so I reached out to these removalists and got a quote. Instead, I have experienced far more stress than I ever would have had I simply rented, loaded, and driven a truck on my own. We ended up being charged double our quote after our booking… Read more

was sub-contracted without our knowledge, and the removalists they hired damaged both our properties and our belongings in the process after arriving 4 hours late without any communication. This is after the business attempted to cancel our booking two days before because they had double booked and apparently the only person in the business who could address it was on leave.

My partner and I had tried to ensure that the move was as smooth as possible by taking apart all of our furniture and bringing it down to the driveway so that it would just be loaded into the truck and driven 7 minutes around the corner to the new property. Instead, we waited for hours and acted as liasion between Move My Stuff and the sub-contractors, because they wouldn’t, or couldn’t, contact each other.

They have refused to give compensation for our damaged homes and belongings because our complaint was given to the sub-contractors, despite us having spoken with them that same day about our concerns and the lack of care we were treated with. Despite being quoted for a 3 hour move with stairs, and a 1-bedroom dwelling worth of belongings, we were charged an additional fee for stairs and “complexity” for our 3-hour move with 1-bed worth of belongings with stairs. This is ignoring that the move would not have taken so long, had the removalists not been regularly stopping to check their phones, or stop to have conversations including putting our furniture down midway through moving it to take phone calls.

Despite being promised that our call-out fee would be reduced due to the massive inconvenience of having our removaists four hours late, we still paid over our quoted amount. I would advise anyone in Brisbane to save their money and time and do the move themselves before they waste their time and mental health with this business.

Do not use their service! Terrible customer service! – I received Move My Stuff delivery service through Koala Living DFO Essendon furniture purchased, the experience is terrible. carpet + throwing packaging everywhere in my garage even after I politely asked them to keep them neat and tidy after unboxing and assembling the dining chairs and table. They ignore my request. The team leader [Name Removed], was so rude by providing excuses to Koala Living’s furniture quality after he failed to assemble the dining chairs correctly. He asked me to call Koala Living for an exchange and ignore to fix the assembly mistake that they made. If I were Koala Living, won’t be subcontracting with this company as it is considered as unprofessional and horrible service . Had requested an apology from the company, but no response from them since now. Never wish to deal with them ever again, please don’t use their service as you will regret!

Unsafe, irresponsible and incompetent – Avoid this business if you value your safety or health. [Name Removed] (initial quote provider) failed to properly assess the scope of my move and sent an under-resourced team that forced us to keep the move going for some 19 hours. Seeing the lack of manpower, the two of us helped with lifting and moving smaller items and lighter boxes, which… Read more

then turned into large TVs (65 inch) and heavy modular couch pieces. This ultimately led to my husband severely injure his right hand fingers, which became crushed between a huge fridge/freezer and the wall, after he was explicitly asked to help out by the removalists. The understaffed team also left the moving job still unfinished after 19 hours. Be warned that removalists teams are NOT EMPLOYEES, instead, this company subcontracts out to other service providers, who also take zero responsibility. Not only is the company completely unapologetic about the poor service and incomplete job, they also accuse my husband of having self-inflicted the hand injury. To add further insult to injury, they also overcharged for the time that the removalists sat in the truck, debating with the company whether or not to impose a 'direct to subcontractor' staircase charge, which was never part of the quote. The company has refused to reimburse the medical costs (GP visit and MRI scan) for the hand injury. Legal action next. Follow up comments to MoveMyStuff's response on Google reviews (17 Aug 2024): You did not ask for a list of items to moved until THE DAY BEFORE THE MOVE, by which time it was too late to allocate additional resources. We offered your 'professional team' 4 times in mid-late afternoon to come back and finish the move ANOTHER DAY. Your driver refused on each occasion. It was YOUR driver who insisted we finish the whole move in one go, resulting in 19 hour day for all of us. It was also YOUR driver who specifically asked for both myself and my husband to 'give them a hand' with the fridge. I have witness statements attesting the same. Your company is ENTIRELY responsible for the unprofessionalism shown by your subcontractors (who are so professional that they asked to be paid a hidden staircase surcharge directly, bypassing your company). Keep telling yourself these are false claims and see how far you go in court. Response from the owner 42 minutes ago Hi Steph, The men that worked 19 hours in one stretch were certainly not under resourced, a weak and under resource team would not survive 19 hours in a difficult move.We went beyond our obligation and continued your move till 4 am the next morning because you had a deadline to finish.we sent you a truck and two men what we agreed and what you paid for x

We did not charge you a night surcharge, we did not charge you anything extra on top of what we agreed, and we went on and on working hard to ensure we move your stuff.

We are very sorry about the injury on your husband‘s hand, but that was him moving his own stuff. we cannot stop him moving his own stuff in his own house, and if he injured himself that’s not our fault. We at no point asked him to help, our boys move stuff on daily basis for living.

You wanted to offer the boys cash work and asked him to come and work for you directly the next day, that is not the spirit of Good ethics.

We really value our customers and really look after them, at the same time we are not going to accept incorrect charges. We will happily defend any incorrect charges you put against us.

Had I known How value for money this was I would have not carted 4 trailer loads earlier myself. I want to give minus star if there is an option. I had a terrible experience with Move My Stuff yesterday and would never recommend them. They showed up without enough tools, asked me for bubble wrap and bags for screws, wasted time… Read more

chatting on the phone, and even blamed me for not requesting four movers (something they never explained beforehand).

Despite using a 12-ton truck, they made two trips, dragged out the job, and kept increasing the price as they went. Constantly threatened me not continuing loading my furnitures if I don't pay in full upfront!!! Worst of all, they caused serious damage to my property – they broke my brick mailbox, bedside light, bookcase glass, and even chipped my front steps. The manager refused to speak with me directly and when I called back the number, they played back with AI voice messages. The whole situation felt like I was being bullied and scammed.

This company is completely unprofessional, unprepared, and dishonest and run and operated by most of Indians. When I complained about the service, they all try to cover up each other and conduct the business like they conduct in India not in Australia. Save yourself the stress, money, and damage – avoid Move My Stuff at all costs. They are scammers!! Wonder how they get any positive reviews by operate and conduct business this shocking way.

Do not use this service. The moment something goes wrong, the moving company is not willing on complying with the requirement of solving the issue and they will not pay for the damage. Here are some of the comments: 1. The entire time, the movers are talking in their mother tongue, on the phone, calling with someone. It just makes you feel like… Read more

they are always talking about you. I understand that the job is tiring and long but it is unprofessional and rude to the customer no matter what the issue is. However this was just observation and I just wanted to be done with moving, like everyone else. 2. The movers were not cautious enough and they made damage with the moving truck upon arrival to the property. We requested a professional to fix it because of the type of the damage and requirement from the regulations of the property (we checked before we emailed with the issue) 3. After two months of back and fourth communication in which the customer service used generic responses (mind you it was their 'complaint' department), they even asked us to conduct research on quotes of how much it would cost-unbelievable to ask a client to solve a problem for you. Literally a laugh in the face of a customer. 4. The issue was fixed without our knowledge by random people without appropriate certification. 5. When this was raised in the official letter complaint, absolutely nothing besides a generic 'reassuring' responses happened. 6. They extend the communication and the issue for so long that customer just gives up. 7. Not being dumb, I understand the problem is simple.. if something goes wrong, they do not want to pay for the damage or reimbursement.

Avoid at all costs!!!!!! – I had an extremely disappointing experience with Move My Stuff and would strongly advise others to stay away and choose a more reputable provider. Despite this,… Read more

the company refused to accept full responsibility and only offered a mere $100 as a "gesture of goodwill"—far below the cost required to repair or replace the damaged item.

Throughout the entire claims process, their customer service was dismissive and unhelpful, constantly deflecting responsibility and hiding behind insurance loopholes rather than addressing the issue properly. Instead of resolving the matter fairly, they ignored clear evidence and shut down further correspondence, refusing to engage any further.

This is not how a professional moving company should operate. If you care about your belongings and expect accountability, quality service, and fair resolution of issues, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. There are far better, more trustworthy moving services out there.

Avoid Move My Stuff – We engaged Move My Stuff for our house removal on February 24th. Initially, their competitive pricing prompted us to proceed despite other options. well as damaging two other pieces of furniture. It took them two months to offer compensation, which was less than 10% of the items' value.

Adding to the issue, they also damaged the ceiling while manoeuvring furniture upstairs, necessitating a $750 quote for repairs from a decorator. Even after providing evidence in our inventory report, Move My Stuff denies responsibility.

Despite multiple attempts to resolve this directly, including numerous calls and emails since June, I have yet to receive a response. Furthermore, during the move, I often found the team distracted on their phones, which is unacceptable when you're working on the clock.

Overall, while their pricing may seem attractive initially, the subsequent damages have resulted in substantial repair costs. I highly recommend against using Move My Stuff.

Shocking! – Avoid using this company at all costs. I moved at the end of August 2023 and I am still in a battle over compensation for damages done to my furniture. the damage. They even went to the effort of drilling a phillips screw into the broken leg on the truck before they brought it inside. Then tried to position is so I couldn’t see it! To cut a very long and exhausting story short, I am still without compensation and as advised by Consumer Affairs Victoria’s, this has now been escalated to court action. I have to add that they tried to compensate me with movies tickets adding that the furniture looked old anyway (?). Isn’t that the idea with vintage furniture! They have no idea. If you choose to go with this company, be prepared for all eventualities.

Do not trust Move My Stuff! – Never again! Wish I'd read all the negative reviews. In May '22 I booked a house move with MoveMyStuff for a large 4 bed town home for a short distance moving one suburb over. Unfortunately, one of the trucks and movers were not careful, so much so that the other truck raised a concern with me while they were loading about their very poor quality… Read more

and lack of care moving furniture into their truck. When I looked at how they were loading it was poorly organised and some visible damage was showing on bookshelf corners and other items. A premium recycled timber table had dining chairs and other items stacked on top. This had caused a large 30cm 2mm deep scratch through the top surface in the middle of the table. At the destination, and after discussion with their Operations Manager over the phone, they agreed that it happened during loading (be very AWARE, their insurance carrier only covers them for loading and unloading, NOT damage caused in transit). Other items had damage also but there is only a certain amount anyone will be prepared to accept. And they certainly went well beyond that. Things like this can happen, so it's not about the fact that it did, but rather Move My Stuff accepting responsibility for the damage they caused and reimbursing for the loss or fix quickly. The Operations Manager said the damaged table will be handled by their admin team, they accepted responsibility that the damage had occurred when loading by them, and it would be resolved quickly. In retrospect, I now realise they only said this so they would get paid on the day. After sending them a quote for the damaged table (approximately $1350 to pickup, refinish and return), they would not raise a claim with their insurer. It then continued with 3 months of follow ups with no resolution. They do not stand by their claim of "the most trusted removalist company in Australia" and are now forcing me to take action against them to recover the loss. Use them at your own risk. However, I've used much better removalists over the years so recommend looking elsewhere. If you do use them I'd recommend factoring in the cost of getting your own moving insurance to save yourself the headache of having to deal with them if they damage something.

TRASH MY STUFF – TRASH MY STUFF would be a more appropriate description of this service. leaving us to notice and clean it up

The accepted no responsibility for the damage despite witness who can verify the items were in perfect order before the move, and the debris being left in the driveways of both old and new properties.

Furthermore, they arrived 1.5 hours late then with 30 minutes left to settlement advised not all items would fit in the truck leaving us to work out a solution. Had they arrived on time we would have had more time to address this.

Appalling, disgraceful, dishonest - avoid at all costs.

Do not assist! It will void any insurances!… Read more

Good movers will come prepared with the necessary equipment and will not ask this of you.

They would often drag items along the ground instead of lifting.

The movers decided to take a break between the two locations without advising me in advance and expected to add this to the time.

At the second location they refused to take items upstairs. They made a token effort to take the double bed base upstairs before saying it couldn't be done and left it on the ground level. The townhouse is fairly new and built to modern building standards.

The company offers payment by card on the website and the confirming email but on the day the movers said the office is closed and insisted on cash or transfer to a private bank account. Do not do this! Insist that they call head office and sort out their problems.

The company offered to take one hour off the bill to cover the breaks that the team took and to send a second team to move the bed base upstairs. I made multiple appointments with them for this but the team never showed up.

Do not take their promises on face value and insist that payment will be made in full once the job is 100% completed.

Avoid this company at all cost! Terrible Experience! – I have used Move My Stuff Company on 9/Jun to relocate from Point Cook to Aintree; two movers arrived with 10t truck in the morning late. I have spoken with numerous movers afterward and I was told that this move should be completed in 6-7 hours maximum, however, these guys from Move My Stuff was doing this job at disappointingly slow pace for 12 hours.. I was helping them too along the way, otherwise this job would be 24 hours min. (Also fee for moving is payable by the hour, so remember that). By the end of day I was very tired (definitely more tired that the second lazy mover) and I was disappointed with service very much. Subsequently I have complained to the company and requested that some amount should be refunded to me as a ‘good will’ gesture as the service provided were poor and $1,800 was way too expensive for the substandard service… No response until now. I will never use them again and if you consider to use this company for moving your stuff please think twice. I am very disappointed what I have went through with this movers… be aware…
