We have been with Peoplecare now for 20 years and would NEVER change. The cost is reasonable (we have top cover for a family of 4 with 2 adult children) and we get so much back when we make a claim, even many of the service providers comment on how much we can get back compared to what they see others covered for. Show details

Over the phone help is wonderful, email responses are quick, app is generally quite user friendly. No 24/7 access to support as I have had previously. went up not even three months after joining, but it does cover a lot. Only new to Peoplecare so will check in again in another six months. Overall happy so far.

I needed the high level of insurance I had and then reduced it and saved me over $120 per fortnight!!!!

 Follow-up  · App is very straightforward to use. Just log in, take a picture of your receipt and submit. Refund is usually within 24-72 hours - very reliable. They rang me to suggest a change of policy for items I no longer to needed to be covered for which ended up saving me over $100 per fortnight!

dollars, without question, without drama... and when you call the call centre, there is zero wait time, and you are talking to a lovely person in (I think) Newcastle who seem to genuinely want to help. They are fantastic on email too. My wife chose to move to Peoplecare due to pricing but was also drawn to them as a not-for-profit. Recently there was talk of ending agreements with our hospital of choice and she was very worried, for her loyalty to Peoplecare, but also continuation of care. She was so excited to see that there was a resolution, and she didn't have to leave her beloved Peoplecare, it was almost endearing to see how much she cared. We are thrilled with every aspect of service and care from the team, and will never leave, unless something happens and we can't access our care at The Wesley in Auchenflower - this is the only reason we would ever leave. Excellent client services, excellent claims processes, fabulous incentives, and you actually feel like a member of a very large, but caring family.

BEWARE Peoplecare Members -DON'T USE FAMILY MEMBER SERVICE PROVIDERS – Be warned of the exclusion preventing Peoplecare Members from claiming the cost of services performed by family members. If your daughter or nephew is your dentist or physio or GP then DON'T CLAIM for their services. Many of you are likely to miss the cryptic notification of this exclusion as it is just one dot point on page 16 in the 27-page… Read more

website brochure. Despite reviewing the past few years of newsletters, I haven't detected one reference that draws your attention to this exclusion. It doesn't matter if you have been honestly unaware of this exclusion; it doesn't matter if the services are honestly and professionally provided; it doesn't matter if you have a perfect history of legitimate claims extending back decades with hospital and extras cover at top premium level. Peoplecare will still demand repayment of past claims amounting to $thousands even though they have suffered no loss for otherwise legitimate service claims. If you want to keep using your family provider, then do what I have done and get out now!! Like me you may be surprised how generous the offers are for fee reductions out there if you switch. You have been warned.

was fully covered with no excess. Peoplecare also contacted me to make sure I was aware of all of my entitlements for rehab at home, physio, mobility aids etc: what other health fund does that? Whenever I have queries they are generally answered promptly and explained in a friendly, professional manner. Also, my claims are so easy to make on-line and they are processed usually within a day or so. I recently bothered to have my health fund compared for a cost/benefit analysis - and you know what? I was advised to stay with Peoplecare - no other health fund came close! I've been with them now for 28 years so I can't see myself ever changing over now!

Wollongong and if I need to call them I always get through immediately and their team are always so helpful. On occasion we have used comparison companies to see if there’s a better deal out there and every time we have been unable to find any other fund that can compete with our Peoplecare cover.

They have continuously given back to there members through reimbursements and member benefits. We have been with Peoplecare for over 35 years and have always found them so easy to deal with (no offshore call centre) They answer any questions easily and even suggest ways to claim that you might not have thought of. Have had a long term (6 months) struggle to get simple basic information on fees and rebates. Every excuse under the sun, from security issues to staff busy. rebates are stuck in the 2020. They also refuse to show how the "cash back" of $45M was calculated. What are they hiding?? Our cash back was <$300. As a member and an owner I see no difference from AIG for my car insurance. Closed loop.

Terrible service with extremely poor communication lines. I had to cancel my cover because they will do anything to weasel their way out of paying for anything. They have the audacity to respond to their failures with the line "We care about you and your family" after refusing paying. Highly recommend going to another provider. May be more… Read more

expensive but you know you will get what you pay for in terms of services and cover. The security just isn't there for this one.

exists in the marketplace. One thing that happened a year or so ago was that they gave members a rebate as they had a profitable year. That has never happened in any fund I've been involved in before. Overall, we are very happy with Peoplecare.

When I claim for dental and optometry, I know the benefits are higher than other health fund organisations even though I pay similar rates to other health funds. Any email inquiries are answered within 1-2 business days. I'm very satisfied and won't be looking to change health funds.
