If I were to get one now I would buy a bigger system and have my existing off peak hot water connected to it through a timer that allows it to heat in the afternoon when I am still exporting too much power to the grid for next to no return. Follow-up · The installation went smoothly. Russell and his boys made sure of it. They work together like a well oiled machine. To date everything has worked very well with no hitches. Performance wise it is too soon to tell as no power bill has been issued.

was ok.They provided a quotation. I accepted the quote, paid the deposit. A couple of days later I receive a phone call from Sunboost saying the installer would be there on Monday. Also the caller indicated the remaining amount to be paid by the Monday. On the Monday before the installer arrived I receive a SMS telling me to deposit the remaining amount. I deposited into the nominated bank account. A few moments later the installer arrives to carry out the installation of the batteries. Before the installation could be undertaken, the installer undertook mandatory safety and regulations requirements and found the location chosen didn't meet the requirements. The location of the second option was viewed and passed the mandatory safety checks. This location was approved. Now the Stinger with the relocation came additional cost. And before any work got started, I had to deposit that amount of money. I was a little pissed off to say the least, and I vented this to Sunboost staff. Instead of conducting a sale in front of a computer screen have someone who has experience in the mandatory rules and regulations out to people homes and provide a true quote. If I want an Electrician or a Plumber, Carpenter to the location and provide a quote. I have no qualms with the installer he did and excellent job and set up the app and explained how it all worked.

But this service/maintenance that was recently carried out has left us very disappointed. We feel that we didn't receive a proper job for the $700.00 we paid. In fact, you seemed more interested in us paying the $700 before the service was actually carried out.
The technicians were only on the roof for a total of 15 minutes. Yes, I timed it. I can't see how you can properly inspect and clean 16 panels that were on 3 different areas of the roof in that short amount of time.
We have 6 panels on west side of main roof, 5 panels on north side of main roof, and 5 panels on north side of 2nd story. I'm not sure that the technician went onto 2nd story to do an inspection and panel clean.
Before the technicians arrived, I messaged them to confirm they were still attending. I also asked them the approximate timeframe they would need to carry out service. I was told 1 - 1 and 1/2 hours, depending on condition of panels.
When they arrived I greeting them and pulled out a list of what was included in complete system check. They glanced at it but didn't seem too interested. I went inside and let them set up their equipment.
We feel you have let us down on this occasion, as a valued repeat customer.

also had had confusing over steps to shut down our system because our installer had done some upgrades and added extra switches, we had emailed him but no response but after I sent pics to sunboost they numbered them and clearly gave us the order for safe shutdown. The man we dealt with was highly efficient however we have also been waiting for a response update on a costing to add an ev charger and costing for system maintenance for over two months by another worker who was actually the sales man that we dealt with a year ago that installed our second list of panels and battery system. He was good for that bent over backwards however a two month wait after talking with them and still no feedback as to costing we won’t be getting servicing or an ev charger addition through sunboost as it seems like it’s a bother for them. We were told we can go somewhere else so we have. We have mixed feelings regarding sunboost after sales support as well as sales honestly shop around and do your homework. Make sure your getting the right system and inverter for your planned system size and installer puts them in according to the manufacturers regulations as to not void warranty, they can all do better if ya ask me! Sungrow 10 kw hybrid inverter, 19.6 sungrow battery stack and two lots of panels all installed by sungrow rep at different times

September 2025. Reported to Sunboost who advised they would following up compensation. Have been advised today after 12 months later there will be no compensation and they feel they have done there job. Would never recommend this company for customer service !
Team arrived on time. They were very polite and helpful.Steve answered any questions we had. A great job and everything was left clean and tidy. I couldn’t fault anything on the installation a great team. Thank you.
The installation team were first rate, no complaints. I was informed with every price increase, due to not being able to place the battery where I wanted. I was not told at anytime that I would have to organise the disposal of the old inverter, or remove the 60cm of earth wire from my roof.
Absolute worst after sales experience. Had a battery installed with no issue. Job was complete in Feb, noticed an issue with one of the batteries not working correctly, took 4 months to order a replacement and have been waiting 3 months (so far) for the replacement battery to be installed.
Sales: costs were provided accurately and adjusted as per my requirements very well, with an explanation of the costs Arranging installation: there were a few changes required and I was advised of this on time and details about the process provided. Installation: the team arrived as expected and conducted the installation very well as far as I can see. What is left to see is the logevity of the system.
