We had 3 window shutters installed & made previously locally in Rockhampton by a local supplier for our first 3 windows about 2 years ago and they were horrible and never fitted or shut properly and are extremely difficult to open & close.

But a friend showed me yours and how beautifully they opened and shut etc & I was sold on yours. It was the best thing I did going with your company. I would never use anyone else and the ones I previously purchased locally were very expensive compared to yours and they basically didn’t care that wee weren’t happy with the installation and said it was the windows in our house were not square that caused the problems. After measuring the rest of our house windows which was true some of the windows aren’t square but you just adjust the measurements to suit the shutters which is what that installer should have did be as they measured our windows and still didnt make the shutters correctly to fit window. I can’t thank you enough your product and service has been truly amazing!

like I mentioned the quality is great. Easy to assemble and install makes the house look flash, did notice it cools the house to an extent as it allows a lovely breeze through the opened window when shutters slightly angled down. Most importantly though the wife is happy with the look and ease of cleaning. Since installing and noticing the cosmetic and temperature improvement I tell everyone Shutters in the home is a must and to use The Shutters Department, 3 windows done 10 to go. If I win lotto I'll get them all done at once otherwise just chip away at each room in house. If in 2 minds whether or not to get shutters in the home trust me when I say bite the bullet and just do it.

Further three ordered, now I can say this that it is the people that make and break companies. For example: I inadvertently, paid for a service that I did not want. It was check one of the boxes, in this case I did uncheck it. On talking to an operator yes, located in Australia, I happen to mentions this and with out hesitation stated I will refund that amount to your account. expeditious service I have experienced. The quality of the product also exceeded my expectations. Right from the outset with the ordering process, review of your drawings, follow up phone calls, regular notifications about shipping dates and delivery, the quality of the packaging (second to none) and the actual shutters themselves were all first rate. The installation was easy following the video and the fit is perfect. I have never seen such quality packaging for online products - plywood and an incredible hard plastic bubble wrap. I will be back to fulfil all my shutter requirements with this company. If you’re a worrier like I am and hesitating with a big online spend on something you can’t “touch and feel” in store - don’t worry! You won’t be disappointed. Your department was fantastic: excellent communication and excellent product - very happy with how they look in situ. The only hiccup - which was not your fault at all - was the courier driver who stole the contents of his van (including our shutters) before Christmas. disappointed and won’t be proceeding with a house lot ans planned after this lengthy experience. Customer service was good but one loses all excitement and interest with such a lengthy wait especially if they arrive damaged. I know the quality is good but the time frame is not.

Well, once made, here starts the frustration. Delivery was 4 weeks. Long time but accepted. No One in customer service within this company has any detail or understanding of their delivery process. No phone contacts. Only use email. No mandate to get updates either. Just not their problem.

Discuss carefully so you understand the full process. Maybe discuss a money retainer which might get them to think differently.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY – Ordered my shutters over 17 weeks ago and they guaranteed they would be here by early September. Still waiting for them! Honestly they just don’t care. Customer service very poor. I have used another company for my other shutters and they came about 4 weeks ago, even when I ordered them after this company!! Do NOT use them. Shutters were very well priced, the information videos for measuring, fitting etc,. were all very user friendly, communication/support from The Shutters Department has been excellent and the shutters were great quality (I chose the less costly made in China shutters), very easy to install and look great. honestly just like calling up a mate being like hows my order going or can i get some help. Besides some car part shops i regularly shop at these guys are awesome products quality is about 98% could do some things better but from how easy the shutters are to install it makes it worth the price along with the great customer service you receive along the way. Also to make sure you receive a really good product make sure you watch the measurements videos as this is how i stuffed up my first order. perfectly. Yes, I took the time to check my measurements multiple times and diligently complete the self review, including phone and email exchanges to discuss options in one or two cases. Communication with the Shutters Dept is welcomed and advice freely given. I am very pleased with the end result and the outstanding ambience these shutters have given my home at a reasonable cost. Still a couple more to purchase and I won't be looking anywhere else but the Shutters Dept.
