Set it up to clean every day or two, and it makes your home amazing. Pet hair, dirt, dust, grass, anything that gets dragged into your home through daily living. GONE.
The AI is great, the functions are amazing. The ability to set specific areas to vac is awesome, as you can target certain areas if needed. The ability to control it remotely when out of the house is also amazing.
The mop function serves a purpose, but I wouldn't buy this as an alternative to moping. It just adds a nice lightly coated wet lather to your floors which does help tiles look cleaner.
Noise levels vary based on your needs, but still quiet enough to use whilst watching TV or listening to music, but like normal vacuuming, do you expect it to be silent?
The mapping is fantastic, it barely misses a spot and overall, one of the best purchases I've ever made.
Great vacuume but after 6 years stopped working – Great robovac but after 6 years the motor and LDS sensor need replacing but I can't get a replacement. Ordered one online but it is slightly different shape and does not fit. Disappointing as it was such a great vacuume. Show details

Terrible after sell service from Xiaomi Australia – Bought a Xiaomi Mi Automatic Robot Vacuum 2 Robotic Cleaner 2100Pa MOP NEW 2020 ENG Ver. in March 2020 for $589.00. It worked well for 3 months then stopped working completely. Sent it to Xiaomi in QLD for repair. Returned 3 weeks later. around and the brush could rotate but nothing was collected in the rubbish container. Contacted Xiaomi, who gave instructions to fix it. Did not work. Before sending the robot to Xiaomi, I let it run once a day for a few days, so as to let the rubbish accumulate, to show Xiaomi the problem. No word from Xiaomi for 4 weeks. I contacted Xiaomi regarding the progress. Xiaomi claimed they were too busy. Ten days later Xiaomi emailed saying the suction motor was burnt and concluded "this is resulted from the lack of cleaning the vacuum." I emailed back telling them that their conclusion of dog hair blocking and causing the motor to burn was non-sensical. If Xiaomi robot cannot suck in light items such as dog hair then what does it suck in. Xiaomi stated because it was my fault, they will not replace the motor for free. I told them that I would write on ProductReview.com.au, on my FB account, and lodge a complaint to the Fair Trading. They then said they would try to find a used motor to replace for free.
I also sought Xiaomi to reimburse postage that I paid to send the robot back. They refused. I contacted eBay, where I bought the robot, who informed me that Xiaomi was liable to pay for my postage. I contacted Xiaomi again to inform them that according to eBay they were liable to reimburse me. They still refuse to reimburse.
Any advice?
Xiaomi is a bully. It after sell service is a disgrace. I will not buy any Chinese-made products from now on

ran into any issues with the vacuum besides the odd occasion it gets jammed between an awkward location but that is very minor and not an issue.
Parts such as replacement brushes are very easy to buy meaning when you need to replace something you can nip online and purchase rather than calling up a call centre or the manufacture to replace a part. Replacing parts doesn't mean there have been any problems with the vacuum, rather after so many vacuums the filter or brush requires replacing to keep it running in perfect order.
All in all, I use this vacuum every second day and it has made vacuuming a rather large house a piece of cake!

my experience, quality products come in good quality packaging. This robot vac has a substantial weight to it and it feels and looks like a good quality vacuum. The first time I used it took a while while it mapped the house, but the second time we used it was much quicker. This model uses laser mapping, as opposed to random bump movements, which I think is a better alternative. We have mostly tiles, and a dog that sheds like a mo fo, which is why I chose this model. It is noticeably slower on our thick pile carpet but pretty quick on the tiles. If you had a large house full of carpet, I'm not sure how this would go between charges. I haven't used the mop function yet, and to be honest, I don't really care about it, but we'll see how it performs later. After cleaning our large downstairs area It returned to it's charging station both times without any issues. From what I've read online, it can only store 1 map/level, which is disappointing, but for $349, and the pretty good job it does, I'm not complaining. You can reset the map but then it will take more time to remap again so it's probably not worth the effort. The app is pretty good and intuitive and I didn't have any problems using it at all. I'll keep you posted on further performance/issues, but at this stage were very happy. *update, after almost 2 months of use i'm very happy with this vac. Last week the vac lost Wi-Fi connection two or three times and it was a bit of a struggle to get it connected again and I was losing faith in it. I thought this was going to be the first of a lot of problems. However, since then, it's been fine. For use on tiles, I love it and it saves me a LOT of time, particularly with dog hair. It's the best $350 I have spent. Saying that, I would not recommend this vac for use on deep pile carpet. It's just ok for doing a sweep, but not good at all at cleaning up OUR cat and dog hair. However, for tiles and hard floors, id definitely recommend it.

my corded vac and that's only to get into some of the nooks and crannys the robo vac just can't reach so it only takes me 5 mins. I'm amazed at just how much this thing picks up, it's just awesome. The home app is easy to use and I'll often send the vac out on a clean around the house from my phone while I am out somewhere and know that nobody is home to be disturbed. It would be nice if there was a way you could set up some virtual barriers on the app but it's not a big gripe and you can setup zoned cleans. Getting around it can get caught up on stray cables and the like but as long as you keep them tucked away it will deal with them just fine (in fact I probably keep the house a little tidier now just to avoid this). Doesn't have any issues with low pile carpet/rugs but if you have a shaggy rug I'm not sure it would be able to navigate it without getting caught up. All in all the Mi robot vac has been one of the best buys I've ever made for the home. If buying again the only thing I would change is I would probably go for a model with a mopping feature.

You see it keeps track of its operation times and tells you when and what to maintain. Spares are cheap and readily available. It is not completely set and forget - I do need to keep it out of the showers in both bathrooms or it gets stuck in them. I do need to make sure loose fabrics etc are not in its way. That’s about it. This appliance has saved me so much work over the last four years and has been incredibly reliable, I can’t find a fault with it. I thoroughly recommend this vacuum and would definitely buy another once I have worn it out.

Reduces cleanup time when you have a toddler – I set the vacuum before I go to bed and when I get up of a morning I have clean carpets. before purchasing and you can pay a lot of money but this was both affordable and dies a good job. It can also easily move from floorboards to rugs of different thicknesses with ease.

It goes over the same area again and again, and needs to be watched to ensure that the whole area is covered. It takes about 2 hours to clean an area I normally clean in 15 minutes with an ordinary vacuum. It also does not clean well in corners.
It felt like getting a teenager to clean up his room.

my vacuum access my personal info. Used to be a great product but now I suggest avoiding this company if they think it’s ok to blackmail customers by blocking access to their items and forcing them to submit to data mining in order to restore function.
Crazy and stupid vacuum cleaner – Every time it starts it goes for a bit then reports an error 5 of clean the main brush. We can pull it out, wash it, blow it clean with the air compressor and nothing changes it. It can report the error 5 multiple times in one minute. So easy to clean. The replacement brushes are very cheap so make sure you do the little brush every 2 months and the silicone roller every 6 months.
You cannot beat it for value – This Xiaomi Robot vacuum is very advance for the money - it laser scans your entire room and you get a map layout of your entire area on your phone - this feature is very advance and usually only seen on expensive units. You can control it remotely and add scheduled tasks for when you are not home! It sometimes has a little difficulty finding the dock if it is too far away but this is a small hiccup. Parts are sold cheaply and readily (extra brushes/filters) from ebay/kogan you can find them cheap and in bulk as xiaomi is a very popular brand in Asia - so this is another plus.
Love it – The robot vacuum is amazing, runs perfectly. Very quick and does a really thorough job. This machine replaced another more expensive brand and this one does a much better job.

Its good, but theres a reason its not the most expensive on the market – I was given it and im so thankful... its such a help, and so much fun to watch. However it does tend to get lost sometimes... and im not sure if you can save the map it creates... which means if u dont turn it on quite right it wipes the map so you cant zone clean unless u get it to remap your whole house again... this can be frustrating... also not sure that it can mop... if there is a way to fix any of this pls lmk! Best investment ever!! – Mi Robot vacuum cleaner is my new favourite home appliance. I use it every single day without fail. Basically set and forget. It does an excellent job on hard floors. Much more thorough than I hoped it could be. Great value for its price, easy to set up and use too.

Pleasantly surprised! – Bought this because I’ve always wanted to try out a robot vacuum and it was SO much cheaper than the competitors. My plan was to upgrade if I liked it- don’t think I’ll need to- I’ve been really impressed! Have used ‘Igor’ (my son set it up in Russian...) daily on a combination of carpet / tiles and rugs and it does a great job. Lifechanging! – The Xiaomi Mi is a fantastic vacuum cleaner that does a great job on our tiled floors! We run it every night and the floors look spotless in the morning.
Perfect for in between big vacuum jobs – Excellent for a little touch up clean in between weekly vacuuming. So simple to use. Can use the zones to target cleaning e.g after making dinner in the kitchen. Life changing product!
Xiaomi Mi Robot Vac – I love this machine, we have a small home with lots of obstacles, with a mix of timber laminate and carpet. The machine works very well. The app that controls the unit is number one with a great deal of user friendly info. I use it daily and it never ceases to impress me.
Great robot vacuum – Really smart robot vacuum. I run it daily and within the first 2 days it mapped my house well and has been efficiently cleaning then docking itself to charge after. Can’t fault it. Proof is in the dust box that’s FULL of our pets fur (1 cat and 1 dog) - I empty it every 2 days. No more pet fur tumbleweeds. Ticks the boxes perfectly – After initially being reserved of the effectiveness of these robovac’s, I purchased one as a trial and gee does it do the job perfectly. Although it doesn’t have the features of a top end model it cleans the house without missing a dime. Smart robot – amazing smarty, very clean, very smart on carpet and titles. I opened it and charged it, it cleaned the whole house (200+ square meters) in 3 hours automatically. chairs on the table and move other things out the way. Also I give it a quick maintenance weekly, clean the brush and vacuum the filter and once a month give it a thorough one. The robot has worked perfectly since day one and I have never bothered using the app.
