Hello Tracey, thank you for your question Sadly this is not something that we can advise you on. Your best bet would be to contact the manufacturer of your dishwasher - they should be able to advise you on how to best remove the liquid from your rinse aid compartment

In relation to any items that were washed, we recommend giving a thorough wash by hand just to remove any potential lingering residue - however, this would just be a precautionary measure. As the rinse aid compartment only releases a very small amount of liquid in each wash, it is highly likely that this would have been washed away in the cycle - as it behaves very differently to normal rinse aid

Hi Alison, we would recommend contacting the manufacturer of your dishwasher. They should be able to help you safely empty the contents from the rinse aid compartment As this product is not rinse aid, we would not recommend continuing to use as normal while this is in the rinse aid compartment

This product should only be used on an empty cycle in your machine. It is not designed and intended to be used when the machine is full of items

I have run my dishwasher twice, with the finish dishwasher deep cleaner dispenser, it did not empty I took it back, got another and it has not released the liquid again, could these be old and out of date

I first tried the original one and found the same that it left an after smell that wasn't nice. The next time I used the lemon one and let the dishwasher air dry after the cycle- it helped and the lemon scent was better. I've found even after normal loads I allow my dish to air dry instead of keeping it closed it seems to help.

Not sure. If it is emptying partly, perhaps the cycle wasn't long enough or hot enough, or perhaps the batch of bottles weren't manufactured quite right. I would suggest trying an eco-friendly cleaner, if there are any out there designed for the dishwasher, or a plain descaler designed for the dishwasher. This product did not work well in my small dishwasher and left chemical residue taste and smell on any dishes subsequently washed the machine, for weeks.

We have a Asko dishwasher and the hottest wash temperature it runs at is 60 C but the instructions for the Finish dishwasher cleaner are as follows: Directions Use monthly. - Use dishwasher cleaner when dishwasher is empty. - Only remove the sticker, not the cap. - Place bottle upside down in the bottom rack, like you would place a plate, keeping the cap closed. Fisher & Paykel Dishdrawer™: Place into a level plate rack slot with cross bar to prevent cap contact with spray arm. - Run the dishwasher empty, on a minimum 65°C programme (intensive/pots) cycle. Fits all dishwashers. Do not add detergent.

The instructions not to, so I wouldn't. Personally I didn't like the product as it left my dishwasher with a lot of chemical residue, which transferred to the dishes for weeks in terms of taste and smell.

Had the same problem what a waste of money

Annie, I too have used the cleaner numerous times and same not all was dispensed, tablets I use are useless as it leaves scum in filter each wash, why do I still use this product, I have rung several times on phone, more than 15 mins again in que and no reply even getting to number 1 in que. there is a problem a big one. Rubbish product !!!!! bet I don't get a reply watch this space.

The first time I ran it through, the liquid was still in the bottle. the second time I put it right on top of one of the bottom prongs so that the wax seal was punctured. It’s washing now I hope I don’t break my dishwasher!

I had the same problem so can’t help. Sorry.

My research reveals it is a common problem! I ended up ringing the customer service number on the bottle. It was suggested I scraped the wax on the cap with my fingernail or a butter knife. I mad a significant hole in one segment & fluid flowed freely. Not happy I had to waste a whole lengthy cycle of hot water though!
